Look man, you have completely misunderstood me. I only want Dhoni not to play and give others chances. Let Pant play for some more and if he fails, i will be the first to call out. I want Dhoni to be out not because of last series or series before that. It is a period we are talking about. If you're to bump this thread every time he fails, i can do it every time Dhoni fails. Like i replied to BVB the other day, it is not about Pant. I want somebody more impactful to replace a mediocre Dhoni. Whether it is Pant, Kishan, Samson, Reddy etc. I don't score. But since we have given Pant a chance, give him some matches. Atleast a quarter of number of matches Dhoni masqueraded as a cricket player.

Sanju Samson has been struggling in domestics for the last 2 seasons. FC avg if 38 and LA avg of 27. On merit, he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the national team right now.

Ishan Kishan hasn't done anything spectacular either. He's been quite inconsistent actually. And last but not the least, he is a top-order batsman. He's not going to be put into no 5, just 10 ODIs away from a WC.

Fact of the matter is that Dhoni is still the best wk-batsman in India right now.

If we need 60 of 40 balls then no one is saying that pant or Karthik will guarantee us a win. However, I know that if Karthik or pant or Sanju will give us 25% chance of winning, Dhoni's probability number is 5%. I mean the old hack can't hit a six to save his life these days. he usually bats at 5-6 ,where you normally need atleast 90-100 SR.If not Pant,there are guys like Karthik,Iyer,Kishan,Krunal who can be given a go.Everyone will bat faster.Its not like Dhoni plays long innings anymore anyways

As for the match in question,we might have run out of overs if Dhoni continued batting.It was because of Jadhav and lower order that we barely crossed the line.So good thing Dhoni did there was getting out at right time

The guy is in Aus ODI team and has a good record in FC. So, yeah he is a better batsman. Whether he has performed consistently is another matter. We were talking about scoring ton abroad which clearly is a matter of skill. Thereby i am saying skill wise he is better.

Pulling out stats of a finished career guy against a career that never took off. Wow. You know it clearly it is a discussion of skill which is the basis of scoring abroad. I dint say Maxwell has performed better than Dhoni. I said skill wise, he is better. And Rohit Sharma is better too. But being batter than Dhoni does not mean much. So i don't want Rohit in the team. Somehow you want to drive the narrative to Dhoni against the world.
