Sharjeel always looks suspect against spin compared to pace. That's why Fakhar is a good foil for him (perhaps at 3), his strength is spin.

Kamran Akmal is far more entitled to be in Pak XI. They don't select Kamran due to his struggle during fielding but he is in far better shape and even better fielder than Sharjeel. Sharjeel can't negotiate with spin bowling at all whereas Kamran can hit both fast and spin bowlers.
 
Hales is by far the best backup LOI opener/number 3 in the world.
 
Hales is one of the most destructive white ball players.

People should flood Imad Wasim’s twitter feed with questions about why Umar Khan didn’t bowl today. Fine, it was a pitch where the seamers did better than spinners - but he bowled Iftikhar for 3 overs, and he went at 14/over! Why did he get a third over? Delport also bowled, who is a slow bowler. Imad even gave himself at least one over. Really, really poor from him and he should have to answer for it.
 
Multan is like 3 hours away from Lahore by road and 35 minutes by flight yet Bazid saying they came far away to Multan.

Babar seems to fail often while chasing big scores. If he can perform then Pakistan has chance to win tournaments

True. Its a shame he couldnt keep his off field activities upto Eng team standards. He was there at the start of Eng white-ball revival so it would have been fitting for him to be lifting that cup but wasnt meant to be.

Babar should have been the captain. It is beyond stupid to not have the Pakistan T20I captain lead any of the 6 PSL teams.

Kamran is 38 years old though.

Moreover, recalling him will be a huge risk in many ways. He will start doing everything he can to give a place to his brother in the team, and we do not need poisons like him in the dressing room.

Walton another useless player occupying foreign players place in playing XI. Play Ali Khan from next matches.
 
Karachi was always going to suffer with this batting lineup. If you have top 4 players who are all openers then you are going to struggle finding depth in your middle order. You will struggle against spin and you will be hard pressed to get decent finish. Their poor bowling attack was always going to hurt them.

So one player defines the standard? What about standard of CPL where Walton has been in top charts for number of years?

Shinwari and Fahim Ashraf were hot picks of Melbourne Renegades but Faheem didnt play due to domestic commitments however Shinwari did last year.

A great catch from Ashraf behind the stumps to get red of Imad, and then confidently appealed too.

I hope he has one breakthrough innings and brings himself into serious contention for the World Cup squad.

I have already talked about the standard of BBL. You can't really talk about CPL because there he plays as a local player. Using the same logic, the standard of PSL should be worse because tulla Asif always performs well in it.

1? It's filled with rubbish in Sammy, Samit, Vilas, Salt, Dawson etc. It's filled with rubbish, there are only few good ones.

Dawson is not rubbish though you can replace him with Ronchi in that list and don't forget about Wiese.

Multans are the least fancied team here (probably least supported as well), but they are doing exceptionally well here, which again emphasises the fact that T20 is a bowler’s game - KK’s top 6 are on papers batter than many T20I side and they are being outclassed here on what is a beautiful batting strip.

And Asif Ali has played in GL T20, CPL, BPL and Msanzi super league. I am not a fan of Walton but these are how overseas players are selected

If that is how players are selected, then why Walton doesn't get selected in other franchise leagues?

Unfortunately these are how T20 leagues are. Other than IPL which has a separate window all leagues have such players along with some big names.

To give example, Salt and Samit played BBL. Walton played BPL with avg of 35 and SR of 141 and many lthers such players all around in leagues. Because there can only be limited big names available so franchises select players wgo have been performing in other leagues or domestic cricket to their squads. This is the model is for most leagues, if it should be changed can be debated on another thread.

Ronchi has been one the the best openers in PSL history with 160+ strike rate.
However he will be full time batting mentor from next psl.
