If that is how players are selected, then why Walton doesn't get selected in other franchise leagues?

He played BPL 2019 with avg of 35 and SR of 141. Has also played for Vancouver Knights in GLT20

Unfortunately these are how T20 leagues are. Other than IPL which has a separate window all leagues have such players along with some big names.

To give example, Salt and Samit played BBL. Walton played BPL with avg of 35 and SR of 141 and many lthers such players all around in leagues. Because there can only be limited big names available so franchises select players wgo have been performing in other leagues or domestic cricket to their squads. This is the model is for most leagues, if it should be changed can be debated on another thread.

Then reduce the numbers of foreign players make it 2 or 3 max. Boils my blood when you see the likes of zafar, imam etc being benched in order to accommodate these rubbish players.

Kamran, Sarfraz, Rizwan, Bismillah, Guhar, Ruhail, Umair, Hasan, Siddique, Rehan Afridi .... there is enough player pool not to honor Chadwick Walton or Dinesh Ramdhin.

I think, for 6 teams PSL, foreign quota needs be reduced to 3, if not 2. Because, with the budget, most of the foreign players picked are either not good enough or living by selling past. Instead of such a large pool, they should create a separate bidding category for foreigners and pay enough to bring 2-3 top players, rest should come from domestics. Now, just for the sake of playing foreigners, lots of compromised picks are played, some of whom would struggle to make National T20 XI.

Was Lancashire’s captain and played some good knocks at the end in natwest T20 and Lancashire won the tournament. He is also part of the 100, UK’s most high profile tournament. Plays Msanzi super league as well.

Obviously not a big or known name to general public but just giving the reasons why he might have been picked.

Agreed, the number can be reduced to maybe 3. Something which can definitely be looked at and discussed.
