Narendra Modi: A true global leader - The ultimate statesman and ambassador of peace

Starting with about 100 five years ago, nearly 800 products across more than 100 sectors now need to be certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards. While the original aim may have been to stop local shop shelves from being flooded with poor-quality Chinese-made appliances, the so-called quality-control orders are starting to clog up global supply chains.

The polyester in Nike gym shorts — coming from a factory in China or Thailand — and the imported Vietnamese steel used by local automakers have to be BIS-certified. Further, these quality marks, as the trade estimate report notes, “can only be issued following a site visit by an Indian inspector to the manufacturing facility.” They also need to be frequently renewed.

This is just a rebirth, on a global scale, of the “Inspector Raj” that benighted the socialist economy. Those same impulses, which ebbed somewhat when the economy liberalized in the 1990s, have returned with a vengeance.

Ending the weaponization of quality control may help revive the share of factory output in the economy from a 60 year low. Openness to trade can be India’s ticket to join Asia-wide, labor-intensive production networks that will reassemble once the global trade war subsides.

Politicians and bureaucrats must stop playing their disruptive games, like effectively banning imports of polyester and viscose fiber. That only helps a couple of local tycoons, and is rightly seen by the world as protectionist.

 
BIS certs are simply NTBs to slow down imports, driven by domestic lobbies.

Moreover, the govt hasn't distinguished raw materials from direct-to-consumer products. But the argument does not hold for either.

The buyer or the consumer doesn't need the intervention of the nanny state to (pretend to) determine what is fit for his use.

Trade policy should privilege the consumer, not the producer.

Can't really compare Asaduddin Owaisi with the other two. Owaisi is an extremely highly educated, and shrewd individual. The same can't be said about the other two who are not good enough to shine Owaisi's shoes in terms of merit. You can question Owaisi's intent though.​

Despite all the tension, it seems like PM Modi has opted not to escalate things any further with Pakistan. Going to be controversial as many keyboard warriors wanted to go to war but might as well be in the best interest of the country for now.

He is often gets labeled as an aggressive hardliner, but if you really look at how he's handled Bharat's tricky relationships with neighbors lately, he's actually been surprisingly measured and smart.

Previously also with the whole Maldives situation, Modi didn’t overreact. No dramatic sanctions or angry speeches. Just let it play out, and now you can already see the Maldivian public pushing back against their government's anti-Bharat stance. Patience paid off.

With Bangladesh also, the social media put a lot of pressure on GOI to take on Bangladesh, but PM Modi has showed a lot of patience. No big statements coming from our side. Just letting it play out. They're a mess and we need not interfere when they're already at war with themselves and dragging their country to the mud.


Wrt China, the Galwan valley incident happened. We stood our ground and pushed the Chinese back physically and diplomatically. We gradually cut economic reliance on China in many industries, and strengthened ties with the US and Quad at the same time. Now playing the cards perfectly during the trade wars to get as much business shifted from China to Bharat as possible.

The point is, real strength isn’t about looking tough in speeches, it’s about knowing when to hold back, when to act, and how to play the long game. For all the talk about Modi being this hyper-aggressive figure, his actual foreign policy has been pretty balanced. He's not a leader who is going to put it all on the line unnecessarily. He very well understands our economic potential and remains committed to patiently playing the longer game.
 
The authorities in the United States tossed out at least 15 shipments of mangoes from India, citing errors in the documentation process. They instructed the exporters to either send the shipment back to India or destroy it.

Although a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) inspector in Mumbai was in charge of the procedure, at least 15 shipments of Indian mangoes were refused because of paperwork issues related to mandatory irradiation, The Economic Times reported.

The fruit was rejected after arriving at airports in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta. The shipment underwent irradiation in Mumbai on May 8 and 9.

The exporters chose not to re-export the cargo to India because of the perishable nature of the mangoes and the high cost of shipping.


The officials pointed out the inconsistencies in the documentation related to the irradiation process. It is an obligatory step that exposes a fruit to regulated radiation dosages to eradicate pests and increase its shelf life.

They highlighted inconsistencies with the PPQ203 form - a required document for mangoes exported to the US - potentially resulting in losses of $500,000 (approximately Rs 4.3 crore), The Economic Times reported.

According to a USDA notification sent to one of the impacted exporters, the US Customs and Border Protection refused entrance to the consignment "because PPQ203 was issued incorrectly."

Another exporter received notice that their shipment did not match the "entry requirement" - more precisely, the required irradiation treatment.

The notice further stated that the shipment "must be re-exported or destroyed," and that the US government would not be required to take "remedial measures for this shipment."

Exporters strongly refuted allegations that the treatment was not completed. They pointed out that a USDA official oversees the irradiation procedure, which is carried out at a plant in Navi Mumbai.

They claimed the process was completed and that the PPQ203 form was only provided following the procedure.

The issue reportedly concerns the export of mangoes from the Maharashtra State Agricultural Marketing Board (MSAMB), a USDA-approved plant in Vashi, Mumbai.

Is USA looking to India as potential threat considering we are 4th largest econony now? Poking its nose in war, giving reckless statements, blocking Apple manufacturing and now blocking mango exports. Very strange behaviour. All of these started with JD Vances trip to India.

Don't destroy them. Just give them to homeless or hungry people. Lots of them will appreciate those mangoes.

If USA wants to harm india , sending back mangoes is unlikely to be discussed in the Pentagon.

India messed up the paperwork. Lets hope the Yanks can enjoy the Pakistan mangoes , mostly superior in taste too

US it seems is punishing India for purchasing Russian oil at discounted prices after US imposed sanctions on Russia following the Ukraine war.

And mind you India poses no threat to any country in the world. It has no real allies as you must have observed recently. No country shared Indian narrative on Pehlgham and it's aftermath.

India has managed to deteriorate relations with most of its neighbours. That's the true legacy of Modi if you ask me.
India should have focussed on making regional allies rather than trying to please the West and Israel.

China is shaping the new world order through its belt and road initiative. India needs to be very careful with its foreign policy.

A party which tried to burry Modi before he even became PM by overplaying the Butcher of Gujarat card but there were no takers for it in India as the voters decimated Congress in elections and gave the PM’s position to Modi, and it’s been 11 years and 3 reigns now for him, only getting stronger.

Time to acknowledge the Political Juggernaut that is PM Modi. The blessed one. Whoever has ever tried to cross him as fallen.

It’s as if Prime Minister Modi isn’t just a political leader but the charioteer of a much larger force. Like the divine Jagannath Rath, he moves with purpose and momentum. And as with the ancient chariot of Puri, those who try to block the path are simply removed by the force of destiny.

Call it coincidence. Call it karma.

But one thing is clear: Modi doesn’t need to eliminate his enemies — karma does it for him.

Will India still be there at the end of this century? Go and read Naimatullah shah wali prediction who also predicted India quest in the hands of Babar and other rulers by name even before they were born. He even predicted the British occupation of India and the 1971 war which Pakistan lost.

But he also predicted that India will capture lahore and some other areas of Pakistan Punjab and will keep it occupied for 6 years and then some leader by the name of Sher Ali will come in to power and with the help of other countries will destroy the existence of India in a 6 months prolong war which will start after Eid ul adha and will end on Eid ul fitr with the end of India existence.

Mughals were the same people who literally destroyed non practicing muslim empire and their leader who had 100s wife in his haram, God works in mysterious ways and then the same mangols become Muslims and they literally destroyed India.

When mongols/mughals were destroying non practicing Muslims there slogan (possibly in a mocking way) was that we are Allah ka Azaab and they keep killing more than 400k muslims and then later on becoming Muslims themselves.

They started this mocking slogan when the Muslim leader start sending him message that if you dare to attack then Allah will send earth quakes to you and you will be annihilated by him upon which they start saying that we are literally azab from your God.

Yea it’s just like fill in the blanks if a guy who lived 800 years ago predicted things which happened 300-800 years after his death 100% correctly with deadly accuracy then you would likely to believe that his later predictions will also come true. (By later predictions I mean predictions with respect to our times or after few generations)

I actually started believing in God more when I experienced a narcissistic wife , just imagine if people can be narcissistic to extreme level why God can’t be? He is actually the sole creator of this universe and Ofcourse he has right to be worshipped only and alone.

You guys can learn from Modi ji or North Korea supremo what is narcissism.

They are merely mortals and highly egocentric,

Our God one name is Al Mutakbir which literally mean the one with most pride.

It’s not Arab god actually, Arabic people were used to worship some idols of female gods and let’s be real there are so many religions in the world which have idols worshipping which begins with people starts associating super natural attributes to their elders who may be good and nice people but not literally gods. Don’t you think a real god will get angry when his creation starts taking his other creation as gods and starts making idol of them and start worshipping ? Ofcourse he will be extremely angry if he has very high ego.

There we’re literally 360 idols which Arabic people used to worship, just like in today’s time Hindus has many gods , it’s just human nature to associate divine attributes to their elders and starts praising them high and eventually starts taking them as gods.

Some Muslim sects do that to pious Muslim saints of previous era and starts praising and giving them unnatural super divine attributes and power to them. It’s just human nature.

Listen let me give you an example of how being highly egotistical is actually very beneficial for a leader of any successful nation , don’t you think modi is egotistical? Ofcourse he is extremely egotistical, but it’s works for you in a very beneficial way.
It works for Germany in a very beneficial way as well and netan is very beneficial for Israel.

Similarly God being supreme leader and egotistical is actually good for mankind.
