He was instrumental in winning an ODI series in 2004 in Pakistan after the Miandad comment that he is average bowler. Then he was MoM in 2007 T20 World cup final against well ironically Pakistan.
He does not need to beg a certificate. He has earned it.
Looks like they were celebrating a strategy that they had planned and it worked.
Did it to occur to you that perhaps he is genuinely celebrating some strategic victory he and Rashid must have planned. It is known fact that during IPL Rashid and Irfan hang out a lot and discuss cricket a lot.

Pakistanis should stop worrying about what Irfan Pathan tweets or does. It’s obvious to everyone he’s simply auditioning for the Hindu nationalists that he’s a loyal Indian. It’s unfortunate Indian Muslims have to attack Pakistan as part of their citizenship rites, but this is what India have come to.

This Roy Keane mentality towards the sport only goes so far when the quality is not there. Keane had the quality and the right team around him to back this up but his philosophy in management failed miserably. There is a balance to be had and I think the Pakistan team tbh know how poor they are compared to their competition. Not that they don't lack fight but these intangibles come to the fore far more when there is a strong talent base to begin with and actual leadership. Leadership and professionalism in the dug out and management. Pakistan lack this massively even compared to the likes of Afghanistan.
It's human nature to have this fight when you are actually class. It's why Rashid Khan can be arrogant and have that aura about him in games because despite how rubbish Afghanistan can sometimes be, he is undisputably world class. More so than anyone on that pitch the other night including Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen etc.
Then please open the doors for immigration. I am sure millions will be ready to leave a repressive anti-Islamic environment and live in a heavenly Islamic country called Pakistan. Before looking at Palestine you need to welcome persecuted people with whom you share DNA, ancestry and history.

Absolutely this. We have seen with the Zadran half hearted dig at Afghan refugee treatment that all Muslims residing in Bharat have to sing from an anti-Pakistan hymn sheet as part of their right to stay there.
I would not be getting worked up about any statements of this sort, those guys have to prove their loyalty every day otherwise who knows what sort of abuse they would lay themselves open to? We saw it happen with their Muslim Bollywood stars, why would you expect otherwise for Pathans?

If any Indian Muslim is vocal against Pakistan, it's considered a part of their citizenship rights and a form of auditing for a nation with a Hindu majority. If any Indian Muslim supports Pakistani cricketers participating in the IPL, they are considered to be doing a good and right job.

LOL not a single Indian Muslim would ever want move to Pakistan. They may have a problem with current govt but moving to Pakistan is their last option. They are well aware of the rights and freedom they experience in India and would not want to put those in jeopardy to move to a bankrupt nation. It is similar to how Brit Pakistani's would never move back to Pakistan irrespective of the lecture we get here. Indian Muslims are not hostages, they are living their life with full freedom and equal rights. Let it be Irfan Pathan, M.Kaif, Zaheer Khan, M.Shami or M.Siraj everyone has reminded Pakistan from time to time to remain in their boundaries but still Pakistani's like you think they are prisoners in India and spam their twitter accounts daily just bcoz of their religious beliefs. Truth is a hard pill to swallow. I have observed this phenomena enough to know what you say is a pack of foolish lies. Pogroms and other forms of repression such as public lynching for eating beef are routinely meted at Muslims. Shami faced a vicious online attack last time Pakistan beat India, Kashmiri students celebrating Pakistan’s victory were also lynched.
These are all routine behavior from India and so it is understandable such statements have to be made by Irfan Pathan to spare himself from the wrath of the Hindu nationalists.
Besides, I am just a neutral observer. Neither Pakistani nor Indian. Just a fan of the game with no blood or historic connection to either country. The moderators can check my IP & where I post from.

Coming to your other point regarding online attacks, cricketers in India often face social media backlash irrespective of their religion. Just a few weeks ago, during the Asia Cup, Kohli faced significant criticism because he was seen exchanging greetings and hugging Pakistani players at the same time when a few soldiers were killed at the border.
There are some online nuts from both sides, and these online warriors are irrelevant and insignificant.
Many cricketers have faced wrath of fans in India. Kohli's daughter got threat, Arahdeep been targetted etc etc. But you choose to single Shami out bcoz that suits your narrative.
Anyway, you are free to believe anything you want but no muslim cricketer of India has ever desired to move to Pakistan or said they are been discriminated. On the other hand we see regular tweets from Danish Kaneria for his ill treatment in the country.
You want to know exact reason why Irfan Pathan is so anti Pakistan? It is bcoz Pak fans regularly used to spam his twitter account calling him fake Pathan, fake muslim etc. His patience gave off and now he leaves no chance to humiliate Pakistan in social media. Everybody knows it has nothing do with the tweets he receives from Pakistan fans. He’s doing it for public consumption in order to receive the approval of the pro-BJP/Hindutva crowd. He’s also doing it so he can raise his profile.
I pity him.
He has every right to troll. It’s just that he comes off as a disgruntled ex in his tweets in a way other Indians who hate Pakistan even more don’t. Pakistani fans also have every right to both call him out and make fun of him for his embarrassing behavior.
He has every right to troll and do these things, but if he is going to so consistently and persistently do them, Pakistani fans will of course return the favor. You can’t be a troll and then play the victim card when you get it thrown back at you.
If you think Pakistan is a false construct then quite literally every country is a false construct.

Pakistan will never understand this gem of an advice. Too much talk diminishes the value of speech for advocacy and activism. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has an opinion here. That itself is not a bad thing if you voice them. But you'll constantly see low IQ videos coming out on YouTube and Twitter, and everyone making fun of those videos. Farid Khan is an example of bakwas-for-revenue model.

Irfan has to continuously protect himself from the same andhbhakhts who called Mohammed Shami a 'traitor' after he performed poorly against Pakistan. Irfan is right up to some extent. Afghanistan did play excellent cricket in this World Cup but if Pakistan wins today then they will have more points then Afghanistan which will make them the 2nd best asian side again. LOL
