NZ is such an underrated team. There has to be a reason why they've reached two WC finals in a row. This is not a fluke!
They were really good in the last WC and definitely deserved to be in final
This time they’re fortunate
This was the best captaincy move of the tournament so far.
No thanks, I'm fine with losing to Aus as they're the greatest cricket nation and I want us to avenge 2015. Just the thought of being the team that gives England a WC frightens me.Hope England beat Australia in the other semi-final. It's about damn time we get to see a new world champion!!!

Boo hoo. Selfish cricketer who played on far too long when he should have left the stage with some dignity intact.
To be honest Dhoni should've retired from ODI cricket after winning the 2011 World Cup.

Where is our Sir Mamoon?
We'll be the 1 in 5-1.You are not winning against Aus in a final , as a neutral we want Kiwis to win but for that it has to be England

Well played NZ but you have been incredibly lucky.
Rain has always worked in NZ's favor, be it 2015 or 2019.
Congratulations to NZ, but respect to India they fought to the last when all hope seemed lost. Pakistan could learn from this chase.
Or maybe India should learn from Pakistan where we chased almost same target against same opposition under very similar conditions with relative ease.

Not similar. The ball didn't swing like it did today. It was a wicket prepared by wheat farmers.

Kane learnt from the Aus match and never let the foot off the throat.
That was the difference in the end, he rotated his bowlers perfectly. It's good to see he's learning from his mistakes.
If he were to bring NZ a WC, he would become a god (probably already is in Pakistan) in NZ and would etch himself into NZ history books as one of the greatest NZ sportsman ever.
It was turning square in the second innings during that game.
True cricket fans already rate Kane very very highly and one of the best. I personally rate him and Smith as 2 greatest players of this generation. Just consider his resources and how he has led NZ team through thick and thin and led them admirably. Even in this WC if NZ are in the final its due to Kane. He has almost singlehandedly taken them to the final with his pressure innings.
Plus the gesture he showed towards Peshawar kids after the blast already won the hearts of Pak cricket fans. That was so nice of him and magnifies your faith in sports and humanity.
I have no doubt in my mind when i say that Kane Williamson is the nicest, most humble and sweetest player in world cricket today. Such people deserve greatness. Perhaps all the luck going NZ way in this WC is because Kane deserves it the most. I really hope he wins the WC now!

Yes but it didn't swing like it did yesterday.
Most heart breaking loss...cant believe its a year already. The fact that we wont chase even 240 never ever came to my mind and was already thinking about final in Lords.
I was at work that day and needed to give a presentation just when our batting was about to start. But thinking the chase was just a formality...I went ahead with my presentation happily. Comes back an hour later and India is 24/4
Top order was due for a failure and they did. But I was mostly upset with the shot Rishab Pant played to get out after he developed a nice little partnership with Pandya. 30-40 runs more between them and India would have won.
Also, Dhoni is the main reason we lost that game. He walked in when the required rr was 4rpo and got out when it was almost 9.5. Had he not played that embarrasingly slow innings and supported Jaddu, result would have been different. I can only laugh when his fans say had Guptil not ran him out, India would have won. We lost the match as soon as Jadeja was out. Dhoni was never in the game.
Lessons learned -
1) Never opt to chase in an ICC knock out game.
2) Dont get over-confident![]()
The most painful defeat for me.
Part of me died when Jadeja got out. Cry for cry
Lets be honest do you expected Jadeja to play well?
Because of this innings he is getting a free ride in LOI's.

Are u sure 4 rpo?
A thoroughly deserved defeat. This is what you get when you refuse to drop inpactless dead weight cricketers after a failure like the CT final and refuse to groom young cricketers like pant, shreyas iyer etc. Again , picking 3 spinners for a world cup in England (no matter how good they are) and picking Upto 3 wicket keepers etc. cost this team heavily. The lack of accountability was also shocking considering that shastri and kohli have been allowed to continue in their roles post this fiasco.
semi final is considered a good outcome for a WC tournament.
and india had been imperious throughout the tournament till then and the best team pound for pound. Only one defeat which obv not saying was fishy but certainly India werent fighting to the death for it.
India just imploded in the semi thats it
take out the semi (which some would say one off batting performance) india had a good WC campaign. hardly one which would result in wholesale changes
lol wth. Jadeja getting out was not the game changer.
india was done at 24/4. Jadeja got you guys close with some insane hitting but that would have been a miracle chase if he saw it through. And when he got out Required rate was 15 per over or so even with him there the odds were certainly in NZ favor. they had been falling behind every over.
Is there a case to say Indias batting stalwarts implode on the big pressure stage.
both WC 2015 and 2019 semi finals and CT final; Indian batting top order collapsed.
I know NZ were the factories but we were still in with a chance as long as Jadeja was out there. The moment he got out, it was all over.
Dhoni was never going to get 31 of 12 against Ferguson and Henry.
