220 overs have been bowled in this match.

India 217(91 overs)
NZ 249( 99 overs)
India 64/2(30 overs)

About 98 overs can be bowled today unless they shake hands early. So, we have got a WTC Final with 300+ overs of cricket.

I get a bad feeling ., India gonna lose this match. All depends on weather and pujara/pant partnership

Just one more reserve day and we'd have had a winner. ICC should have talked with match officials and the two teams after day 1, looking at the forecast and took a decision when the playing field was still level.

A two year long event ending in a literal damp squib... and that too in a format that is hardly alive and kicking in most member-nations.

Got to give credit to the ICC. No matter how hard it gets, they always manage to outdo themselves.

Play out the first hour and go for the DAMN win.

This shared trophy is **.

Sure, will help "stats" but no one will remember it just like no one remembers CT 2002 which we shared with SL.

Make it memorable.

Loss is ok.

Adelaide 2014 was a MAGICAL test not cos we won or lost but cos we WENT for it.

Go for the glory guys.

:)))

Indeed.

Our anger against ICC is over 9000. lol.

Complete and utter losers.

Since 36 All out is out of equation now for India, but they can still make a result out of the match by folding at 72 all out, & given Mr. Virat Sharma's selection fiasco, it can't be ruled out completely.

On a serious note, looks like a dull draw by all means.

NZ have a chance to recreate the 2019 wc semifinal right here again. And India have a chance to show that was an aberration

ICC spokesperson: “We received reports of abuse directed at the New Zealand players. Our security team were able to identify the culprits and they were ejected from the ground. We will not tolerate any sort of abusive behaviour in cricket.”

Very sunny bright sunshine.Luck doesn't favour New Zealand it seems.First that 2019 world cup final and now this one.India is very very lucky here.

Have to agree with the bolded part. :inti

what guarantee that the 2 teams will agree to an extra day? This arrangement should all be agreed before , by now you should know cricket culture is a bit obdurate, nothing changes overnight

What wrong did NZ players do to receive abuse from some jaahils? :inti

Did you induct a new player @ Selection Fiasco?

First one hour give respect.

Then take respect.

We have to go for the win if we dont lose wickets in the first hour.

Didnt have to play it at alll, kholi just a lil twitchy here. Hadnt settled in yet

So Jamieson almost guaranteed Man of The Match award, is there any player of the tournament award? Hope Ashwin get that award if there's any..

WTC Final: Fans ejected for racist comments directed at Ross Taylor - Report

A report on news website stuff.co.nz said a complaint had been made by a New Zealand follower watching the match on television.

Two spectators were ejected from the ground on the fifth day of the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand on Tuesday after shouting abuse at the New Zealanders.

"We received reports of abuse directed at the New Zealand players," a spokesman for the International Cricket Council said. "Our security team was able to identify the culprits and they were ejected from the ground.

A report on news website stuff.co.nz said a complaint had been made by a New Zealand follower watching the match on television. He said the abuse had included racist comments directed at batsman Ross Taylor, whose mother comes from Samoa.

Taylor, 37, is the first person to play 100 matches in all three formats of international cricket.

Chalo jee ek hor Gaya.mashallah! Mera taan nachan nu jee Karda.Pujara the most overrated player ever.

I take a bath and come and 2 wickets gpne.

Lol.

Now we have no option but to go for the win.

There is no way in hell we are drawing this test with batting.

Get the damn runs lol.

45-4.is there any chance that we can draw this match by such batting.its looking like one of newzealand test where we collapsed in second inning

Jamieson is turning out to be a gem of a player. Now he averages 13.89 in tests with ball and 42 with the bat.

Chalo, one thing is clear now, even Pujji is a choker :yk
Are ek player to aisa ho kamse kam jo choke na kare.

What a fantastic first ever WTC Final.

It reminds me of the 1977 Centenary Test.

Let’s hope Pant makes some quick runs and sets up a grandstand finish!

I actually think India have done well if you take in to account the lack of cricket leading up to this game and the kiwis coming off a a competitive two match series with England in these conditions

India under pressure from Jamieson and Southee combination, worsened by lack of application from Kohli and Pujara.

This is a funny excuse tbh. Nobody stopped BCCI from organising at least 1 test before this final but they were too busy taking care of their bio secure bubble. :inti

Yes maybe your right, but theirs no substitute for competitive cricket and my point is it affects any player no matter how talented you are.

List of chokers in this match:-

Kohli
Bumrah
Pujara
Boult
Southee

Let's see who else gets added to the list.

India has had 2 years to prepare, they could have conducted a test against ireland, a few more intra squad games, instead they prioritized IPL , whereas NZ came early and played against England, all in the planning.
