Pathetic side. I don’t know why I got so attached to this pathetic cricketing nation due to my heritage. Despite 19 years of being a test playing, these lot will make same errors, will never understand the fundamentals of cricket and the board is ultra corrupt. Corruption lies is top to bottom, throughout. Players who have right technique are not selected and bowlers who are better with the right actions and technique suited for such conditions are not selected. They’ll never get it, nor be wise enough to understand these SENA wickets mostly flat/swingy/bouncy so the Cutter master will never be affective enough, he is an old ball bowler (meaning when the shine is off the ball, say after min 15ov), so is Rubel and both have slingy actions. So you’re left with Mortaza as the seam up bowler, and Saifuddin who did well this match, but both under 130kph bowlers. why didn’t play Ebadat Hossain or Khaled Ahmed who are good prospects, 6ft odd, have proper bowling seam up actionswhich is needed in NZ and can bowl above 140kph. Without some pace, seam up bowling how you going to get swing bowling crossed seam cutters with slingy actions?
It’s ot fizz fault. It’s the system.

Thank God I have major reasons to support England. Right now BD is my 2nd team!

In ODI’s Sarkar and Liton have been passengers gettinf free rides. Sarkar had a great start to ODI. Now plays like BD players of 00s, easily gifts his wicket and had a ultra poor BPL with not one 50 I believe!.
Liton Das a player I like but look at his ODI record rubbish, only one ton. However seems a much better T20 player. Sarkar seems lost! Some fame and too media/socialnetwork attentions ruins BD players. Fizz is another one. Like them before Nasire Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Sabbir too but has regained himself so has Taskin.

BD has a cealing both with their batting and bowling. Occasionally they break that cealing. As fan BD fans would watch every overseas match with an air of inevitability. It is such a hopeless feeling for a fan.

yes. They should not compromise on their bowling for one batting slot. Neesham and Grandhomme. Any team would want to have both of them. But that means leaving out a spinner or a seamer. It is going to be a challenging call for NZ to make.

I am not yet sold on Lockie Ferguson. He is just pace with no brains. Against good players of pace ( Australia, England, SA and Ind ) , he has 8 wickets from 9 matches at an average of 66. He only bullied Pak, SL and Ban ( 33 wickets from 15 matches at 20 ).

If NZ doesn't take early wickets they are going to be in trouble. Pretty much toothless in the middle overs. Potent spinner is needed to make a come back. Santner hasn't reached the level of Vettori yet. But he is still the best spinner as Sodhi is risky with his expensive spells. They have to find a way to stop the opposition in the middle overs.

However there were some positive from this series with Mithun and Sabbir finding forms and BD avoiding being bowled out for less than 100. I am not sure what is BD management plan for “allrounders” Saifuddin and Miraz. Saifuddin needs to click 135k on average to be an effective allrounder. Right now he is trundling around 130k, but I have seen him bowl 137k range before.

Batting lineup is ok once Shakib is back and hack Liton is dropped. However, BD really needs at least 2 gun bowlers. Mashrafe, Fizz, Rubel just dont cut it at the top level.

Don't think Bangladesh can produce a gun-bowler out of thin air months before the WC. The batting will have to do all the heavy-lifting for them at the WC
