New Zealand v Pakistan | 2nd Test | Hamilton | Nov 25-29, 2016 | Day 2

If the bowlers continue bowling short and wide, expect a decent innings lead for NZ. Imran and Sohail have to bowl fuller, especially the latter.
 
That being said the scheduling once again was, and is rather baffling!
 
when your bowlers have no control, what else can he do? concede another 30 off 25?
 
It looks so easy out there. I want sohail bowls one full over to Ross Taylor.
 
It seems that Aamir grunting after bowling a rubbish delivery and being punished is his way of letting us know that he really cares.
 
You have to admit Sohail Khan's gets the odd one to do something special, reminds me of Asif minus the wobbly seam
 
I was expecting this since yesterday. I knew sohail had Ross's number.
 
Commentators are now talking about Pakistan, until the wicket it sounded like Newzealand radio station discussing everything beautiful about NZ cricket..
 
Next time we play in these kind of conditions we should really bring bowlers like Mir Hamza with us. He would be a handfull in these places.
 
Look at the bounce on this pitch, bring on Wahab Riaz and lets play some chin music
 
Need to restrict them to 250. Bangladesh scored 400+ on the same ground back in 2010 so we should be able to get a big score too.
 
If Sohail just moves it awawy from Nichols and makes him play it, he's gone
 
Sohail bowling very nice. Would like to see how good Imran Khan would be today.
 
Sohail gets very good revs on the ball, because of his seam position and release..
 
Amir's seam angle today is more geared towards bringing it into the lefties than out.
Needs to get over the top of it better.
 
Take him out of the slip positions... It looks like he ws trying to catch a crocodile or something :facepalm:

Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. These are easy simple catches and even our young players can't make them.

Get rid of Aslam in the slips. What pathetic technique... 10 year olds know have better technique than him.
 
Where the hell was his technique?! Sami doesn't know the basics to catching which you are taught from Day 1 at club level. Seriously disappointed. Feel really bad for Amir here, honestly.
 
This is an extremely decisive moment in the test. Raval may take it away from here. Rub salt on the wound.
 
why is Sami even in the team? We don't need him for batting if he is going to field like this. Please get rid of this idiot. Fitness is individual problem

Sami Amslam should not be in slip cordon. He seems to be a poor catcher .

Poor Amir. He should concentrate on bowling full and getting bowled and low decisions. Basically take catchers out of equation.
 
It's simply stupid. There is zero reason for Aslam to be in the slips... I am sure the coaches have seen his catching technique in practice so why is he in the slips in the first place when there are other fielders who are actually competent at it?

I can only hope Azhar never ever becomes a captain in this format too.
 
I took 2 sitters dropped for Azhar to realize that Rizwan is the better choice for 1st Slip, since there is none specialist. Previously, MoHa used to block boundaries there as a status Co., but now, I think it's a must that PAK builds Asad as the 1st slip. Fielders have done enough damage already & this'll be horrible if Warner, Khawaja or Smith are dropped, because they won't bat at 45 SR after being dropped.
 
Now this is seriously rubbish, just drop this drop machine from the team asap, i would have dropped him even if he was an ATG batsman for his fielding alone. Because such rubbish fielding alone can lose you matches and series, just imagine if raval goes on to make a match winning 100 on this tough pitch, and if you don't feel sorry for amir, than it's just blind hatred.

How is a bowler supposed to have any confidence in his bowling and in his fielders if catches keep going down like this.
 
you have to ask what steve rixon is doing exactly - as a fielding specialist, how does he not know that sami isnt first slip material? whats he being paid for?

Yea that's heartbreaking, you can see the pain on his face, coz Raval he has had him twice now.. Also Raval looks the biggest thorn in the batting lineup for us so far

Really gotta feel for Amir.
 
Never rated sami. Another one of the long list of Impactless cricketers that we love to stack up in this team
 
Loved Amir's over to Raval, he kept bowling it in 3-4 deliveries, then went wide of the crease and that delivery sort of straightened just a little bit to induce that edge.. that was a fantastic over, completely made a trap for Raval.. and he had him..

Well he's bowled fantastic today.. and he's moved it both ways in this innings.. the problem is he hasn't bowled like this always
 
Just livid with these dropped catches.

Disgusted, so much so I'm only keeping updates on cricinfo.

Raval going to make us regret these drops. I think we lost the X gator in Yasir Shah by dropping him.
