I'm so disappointed man, I really hope Azhar never captains a team again.
 
Previous ball on which Wahab appealed was also a no-ball (which wasn't called). Shows how inconsistent umpires are with calling no-balls. Technology needs to be introduced for this ASAP.
 
Wahab pace causing taylor problem,if only we could get latham match is on.

Actually it's BECAUSE OF DRS they aren't paying as much attention as they used to

He was brought back basically on his repute otherwise bowlers are killing themsleves taking truckloads of wickets in domestic every season. Even imran khan had to sit out for a whole year.

So what are the options. He is leading a test for the first time in his career. I think we need to be patient here. Who knows he might be leading against Aussies too. Not v sure if Misbah going to return.

That's why technology should be introduced - so that the on-field umpires don't have to worry about no-balls. The system was trialled in the England v Pakistan ODI series (I think) and it was OK.
 
Pakistan need to bring in other bowlers in the squad for Australia , these bowlers are not good enough , at least you need to try something new.
 
Sohail Khan showing once again he's a one inning bowler.

Pace down 5 KPH and lacks venom. Hope he proves me wrong but it's not looking good.

And what is a brave heart captain going to do, if he is appointed. Your team defines you how good you are as a captain. If ricky ponting didnt have glenn, warne, hayden, lee and so on, he wouldn't have been as great a captain. We all saw how he struggled when those retired.

Point is players who are playing need to make themselves a great product. Only then you can survive as a intl captain for a long time.

Yeah I understand that but I do hope Sarfraz replaces him in ODI's at least. I don't think Azhar was a regular captain in domestic cricket to be honest.

If i was Azhar ali i would take the draw. It will be good for the team morale when we go to Australia. Come on we need Rain Dance tomorrow.🌨🌨🌨
 
I think its been a good preparation for us for the next series. I would say let kiwis win the series, they are great bunch of guys and its a beautiful country to visit.
 
What if it's today get rained off. Will Kane williamson take the risk of setting 210 to win for Pakistan.

That wouldn't have carried but c'mon... new batsman, and it's Nicholls. Barely looks better than a tailender. Can surely have more than 2 slips.
 
I'd rather have Guptill at 5 over Nicolls, that's how bad Nicolls is..

At the moment NZ's first three contributors all have a SR of 53.33, 47.72 and 57.14 respectively. The home team is giving a very perfect playbook on how to bat here and what approach to take during the game. If our players (who are professional athletes) that do this job day in day out can't figure this then I'd say they better try their hand at some other profession !!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Please fire the team analyst, clearly the science of Analysis and Statistical based deduction is lost on him !!

NZ are in more then a good position. At the very least we'll be chasing at least 300 runs giving us next to no chance. If we don't bowl NZ out they can easily continue batting until one hour after lunch tomorrow making Pak chase close to 400, our batting will collapse in two sessions. NZ have no reason to push for a result.
 
Wahab rightfully irritated, why is Sohail not on the boundary? That was a catch if he was in position. :facepalm:
 
Very poor over rate from Pakistan in this session. Only 24 overs bowled.

The decision might not be his call, but he KNEW FROM THE GET GO that he didn't have Yasir in this game...So overrate issue should have been look after in the grand scheme of things.....He should've either brought himself on or Babar on to get the overrate stabilized and might've given something else for the batsman to think about !!

These guys are professional cricketers mate, if we as fans (who have completely different day jobs) can figure out such a simple detail and where things might go wrong, then what is the excuse of these athletes ???

Then us fans would've complained about how he is being so defensive and not applying pressure by bowling prt timers. This has been a poor performance by everyone not just him. He isn't a good captain but we should stop blaming him. Misbah would've made no difference

The problem is that the pacers take too long to get through their overs - we're not the only team to have four pacers bowling most of the time. The likes of Australia, South Africa and England often utilise pacers for 90% of the overs when bowling in helpful conditions on Day 1/2.

If Azhar would be bowling himself or Babar a lot, we'd (rightfully) be complaining that he is giving an easy passage to the opponents.

I haven't paid very close attention to it but I think Sohail and Wahab both take quite a while to complete their overs.
 
Kiwis should attack and add 100-120 runs more.

Pakistan win looks unlikely from here.

Its a 1-0 series win for Kiwis and if they bowl well tomorrow then can look for a 2-0 whitewash.
