Two big difference that people might not remember is that

1. Misbah and Younis habe ability to switch gears while Azhar and sami dont.

2. Even when we were winning at Galle and Sharjah we were playing at 3.5 runs per over so we just accelarated from 3.5 to 4 per over.

It will be highly improbable for Pakistan to accelarate from 150/0 at tea to 370/2 in 35 odd overs.

Not saying it cant be done, just pointing out the obvious hardship and probability.

You will find out soon enough. Needing around 5rpo now, it's going to be time to up the face very soon. If they keep this pace for another 30-40 mins then they are playing for a draw. You can then make the decision to hit the bed or let them put you to sleep.

My only worry is that when ever I have gone to bed hoping to wake up seeing Pakistan in a better position has always back fired and it's happened through out this test series and earlier too. The worst was that 3rd test against England which we last in those 10 -15 minutes of absolute madness. I had fallen asleep for half an hour and when I suddenly woke up i just cdnt believe my eyes and I seriously thought it was a dream.

Azhar is showing positive intent and he needs to be the anchor here, if Sami continues to be defensive Azhar will try harder to score and could lose his wicket which would be the worst outcome here.

Mathews had boundary riders from the beginning actually. He looked extremely vulnerable right from the word go. But in that game, there was a feeling that Pakistan would definitely go for it because their proud record of never losing a series in UAE since 2010 was on the line.

Here, the kind of cricket the team has played in general hasn't filled anyone with any sort of confidence. They have been playing as if a sword is hanging over their head all the time.
