Thanks both. Yes thinking of parking away from the ground and then using Uber. But I imagine that on a match day, Uber will be charging through the roof.

Cannon Hill car park only has 40 spaces according to Parkopedia.

Thinking the same thing. Was looking at parking new street station then either shuttle service or Uber

Need this win bad for an even exciting quarter final clash vs Bangladeshi bros in the last few matches of the world cup.

Reality is we aren’t expected to win as NZ are miles ahead of us in preparation, confidence and even skill level however we’ve got into a position that means we can progress and I don’t want to see us losing it through dropped catches, run outs, battling collapses or lack of unity.

Win or lose I just want see some fight and passion!

Ladypool road isnt far away, plenty of roads around there to park. Or there is a large field just past the ground which they open for parking, it has thousands of spaces. Previously I used it and paid £10 for the day. Otherwise use this site, I use it to park around the country, its pretty good with excellent prices. Just remember to print your parking ticket and leave in the window if you book from there.

Once you're near the ground, you will be directed to the parking by parking attendants. They'll help you get a space. Might be better using Calthorpe park with entry from the Cheddar Rd side.

Thanks again. KingKhanWC - any idea where that field is?

As Kroll mentioned Calthorpe park. Im sure it will be open, always is for big cricket matches.

Hope you have a great day, it will be one day to remember forever if we win Godwilling.

That possibly could be Calthorpe Park. Anyway, can't remember but that is either £10 or £20 for the whole day.

Yes very slightly. I think this is because of their form in this tournament and bookies wont risk big odds for Pakistan due to the history of do or die games.

The odds are the same as they were when pak played sa. Sa were slight favourites (same odds as nz). We all know what happened there...

Thank you so much for your help, and to Kroll and everyone else who have replied.

Inshallah it will be a great game!

The email says you have to prebook and I believe it’s all booked so wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of the locations

the biggest surprise tho is s.africa/lanka..s.africa hot favourties in that game

Will be our toughest game yet. Slightly worried for our batting against Southee and co, if we're chasing it could be game over if NZ make 250+.

I was shocked to see those odds. Even when SA were chasing with a couple down it was evens!

One of the reasons why cricket is such a unique sport, a team playing woeful one day can be brilliant the next which rarely happens in other sports.

We have always smashed Southee and he is an average bowler.

Our batsmen will come good, its whether Amir will receive sufficient support this time.

If Kane doesn't get out early on if they're chasing our score then games over.

Folks are getting excited as England's grip on one spot has loosened. Plus all the similarities from 92, but this is team Pakistan, build up excitement and then burry us all with bad fielding, batting and bowling.

thats how sports go bro

QuickCrick is right. The Edgbaston website shows that the following location is sold out:

Blue – Calthorpe Park (Postcode B5 7PH)5 minute (0.5 miles) walk to the stadium – best if you are coming from the M6 direction.

This car park sells out quickly and we advise supporters buy their car park early

Oh well. I will drive around and I'm sure will eventually find somewhere.

2 teams KOed by us will Pakistan be #3.

I think Pak would still have an outside chance if they lose against NZ and Eng loose their two.

I'm going to claim it either way if we do. Bangladesh too if they go, that was the match that effectively killed their chances.

Actually we KO'ed SA, and even if we lose to you we aren't out of the tourney

NZ has been top notch and have beaten everybody they have played against, their impact on this WC can't be undermined.

NZ is going to face a trial by spin tomorrow. I feel we will bowl atleast 25-30 overs of spin. Good luck NZ you will need plenty of it.

I'm going to run with it, at least we have the most kills even though we're likely to go out in the Semis.

Scrapped through against WI, SA and BD. Three close wins where things went their way.

Yes they havent won the games very convincingly but cricket can be a game of fine margins and I think Aus, Nz have done well whenever they were under pressure in this WC.

We've been nowhere near our best this tournament and are effectively in the Semis.

We're bound to play well, law of averages and all.

Law of averages is a statistical fallacy. You may google it.

Last time Pak won an ODI chase was in Jan 2019 (chased 160 odd against SA). We may have forgotten how it’s done by now.

Do fans genuinely think we'll beat NZ? I get supporting the side and kissing the badge etc etc, but hand on heart - do any of you think Pakistan can get the victory they need today if rain stays away?

I can't see the same confidence I've had in the past. NZ are a fantastic side and very consistent so this will be a massive uphill struggle to get the points needed. I do hope the players can pull this off, providing bad weather stays away.

Regarding the said weather - it's been bucketing it down in Birmingham and has been atrocious for the last few days and I live minutes away from Edgbaston too and judging by the forecast it'll be a delayed start and a light drizzle throughout.

No chance of rain. Match will start on time

Need to play hasan ali, even if he isn't in form the pitch will suit him and we will need as many batters as possible, bat first and the first 15 overs will probably seal the match.

NZ played a game on this ground against SAF. Took them till the last over to chase down 240 odd.

For me big wickets are Munro and Williamson early. And of course bat well in first 10 overs

Would be needing lot of guts for this decision.

For Pakistan to Win:
Bowl full and hope for some swing. Bowl short and kiss this game good bye.
DONOT drop any catches specially Kane Williamson.
Aim for 40 runs in first 10 and be prepare for short pitch deliveries.

Yes, summed it up well. I would also add that third seamer (Whoever plays) alongside Amir and Wahab needs to ball tightly.

This could turn into a NO CONTEST contest !!!!!!

Pak did draw the last ODI series against NZ and was in decent position in last one day before the rain. So nothing can be said for sure.

Pak will win.
momentum is with us and off course 92 similarities. where we had beaten the in unbeatable

Last thing I want tomorrow is a one sided boring match. I hope there’s a good competition to watch tomorrow regardless of the end result.

Pakistan should send Shaheen home with an injury and bring back Shinwari or even Junaid. I hope they give Hasnain a shot.

Not including Zimbabwe but Williamson has the 2nd highest career average against Pakistan at 56.16 AVG and 85 SR. He's only been better vs England.

Ross Taylor has the best average vs us (not including minnows) at 66.75.

If Pakistan is to win the game, figure out a way to get those guys out early.

Played nowhere near our best and still won. Imagine if we actually play well today.

If after that many games your team just scrapped by for a win it just means you're a poor team

Hope we win today but looks very difficult

Boult, Henry and Ferguson all are in great form.
Imam and Fakhar needs not to loss wicket in 1st 10 overs because i have doubt in Babar batting against Boult (inswinging ball).

Taylor and Guptill are not done enough in this world cup and we know how to get a out-form player into in-form.
Guptill is minnow basher I fear he will smash us

Possibly the most important match of the group stage.

Pakistan beating NZ will put even more pressure on England and threaten Bangladesh/Sri Lanka's hopes.

NZ is quite possibly the worst we can face in this scenario. They're like a bunch of robots, who do not flinch at the first sign of pressure and perform as a well-oiled machine. The perfect antithesis to Pakistan's unpredictability.

Will be very tough boys, but let's hope it happens as the WC will become very interesting :sarf2
