This is why a nightwatchman can be a good idea. Last thing we want is Johnny and/or KP flopping against the new ball.
Trent Boult, Shane Bond, Brent Arnel.. Kiwis sure have got a cool naming sense.
KP on a king pair. Worth a quid on Paddy Power I'd say.
Naah, the bowlers would be stuffed by the time they get to bowl at KP.KP on a king pair. Worth a quid on Paddy Power I'd say.
Well, no one gets it right all the time.Forgot Jesse Ryder, Jamie How, Martin Crow
yeah that is why i was hurting for the English fans as a whole when they did not win the bid to host the FIFA world cup in 2018. Be it rugby, cricket or football they always support their team across the world through thick and thin. In that regard they are the best in the world. FIFA missed a golden opportunity to say thank you for your support, here is the world cup in your backyard put your feet up, and enjoy yourselves. Coz they will definately need it 2022. Their media unfortunately annoys me. Still Love the British people though.Gotta love the Barmy Army. Even when their team was getting thrashed at home and away, they came with passion and supported their team. They were fierce critics but never resorted to stone throwing and effigy burning unlike some fans especially in the SC. (Any UK fans can probably correct me if there has been any stone throwing or effigy burning which happened before).
There are wise and smart SC fans too but the maniacs tend to take the spotlight as it always happens.

Well I wonder who would be England's "into the wind" bowler at Basin Reserve ?
I still remember the 99 wc in England, best one ever. Crowds for neutral games were also amazing plus good pitches.
Not sure if the physios would agree with you on that, considering the fact he's only just back from a nasty injury.Broad.
And Finn if Anderson is on at the other end, mainly because I can't see Anderson wanting to play the workhorse and he has seniority.
even during the Olympics they were supporting the Women's Football teams and the capacity was decent. They definately deserve to host any tournament/event they want, they deserve it.
Sadly, the corrupt bribed Fifa voters didn't agree.
Finn for new number 3.
zzzzz
bad pitch is bad
Compton has bought himself this series at least though, which is important for him and also for the stability of our top order.
What happened to Bairstow? Looked really good against us, will be a safe bet outside Asia
Not quite making the XI at the moment, but he's a big part of the selector's plans.
Make no mistake, one injury to a batsman and Bairstow is in.
Come on Finny, soak up some overs..... and put Broad to shame with bat as well as ball.....
Finn usually bats no.11 for us so 20 (70) is already a top effort.

A slap to the face for the batsmen for the 1st innings debacle, I still don't know how it happened on this pitch. Even Chris martin could score a 50 on this pitch
Hope trott/ finn will get out soon... wanna see Pietersen score run a ball 100 or get a pair
Gracious, is that Eeeeun Smuth in the commbox?
Oy, you don't want a NWM Double century?
This is a lovely intimate little ground for a test match - it's like Middlesex at Uxbridge, or Yorks at Bradford Park Avenue - a big county's second ground.
Lancs at Aigburth is lovely, absolutely lovely.
I stayed across the street from the Aigburth ground last summer, was very quaint.
Finn's height and right handedness makes me think it's KP at the crease from afar.
with the addition of compton it genuinely does feel like a south african batting line-up now. just saying, not slating.

Strauss for Compton is a one for one trade. Though luckily he's never played for a Saffa team, and his dad is one of THE English greats.
nah cause compton played school cricket in SA, its where he learned his trade. and it shows. he has a saffer accent too.
