NZ won the 1st ODI at Hamilton

Just as I create this thread, Williamson departs for 33 after a good partnership with Taylor (currently on 38).

NZ 91/3 after 25.4 Overs

Suposed to be a belter of a batting pitch but NZ batsman struggling to time their shots so might be a bit two paced.

England bowled so tightly in the first 12 overs though.

McCullum loves playing England. Blitzing them here.

Brainless bowling by England trying to bounce him.

Swann received a beating here, not performing up to his standards. Broad has been outright pathetic.

There are few better sights in cricket than seeing Broad getting smashed and reduced to tears :asif

Swann looks rusty and well Broad is just pants.

McCullum once again the difference in an England-New Zealand innings. We have never known how to bowl to him.

Great stuff from Anderson and Finn though, has given us an outside chance of chasing the runs.

60-40 NZ.

Could have been 320 the way that was going so we came back well in the end.

5-34 for Anderson which in these or any circumstances is just excellent. :)

270 is competitive but might be gettable. Worth getting up for.

Please remove Broad from the team, I don't like his face. Not to mention, his bowling is just crap

Last couple of seasons he has seemingly been on a mission to get himself dropped from all formats. Useless.

Test VC as well. Who even Flower had to drop in India because he got that crap.

England

Well hopefully he is on the way out in general.

run rate has picked up for us now. Good stuff. Hopefully will be another exciting finish.

Bell in throws it away shock.

We are in a good position at the moment though. 175 to get off 28 overs.

You know things are bad when...Kane Williamson looks like your best bowler?

KP was right about Nick Knight. Very mediocre commentary.

Good wicket for NZ but Cook has done his shift.

120 off 107 balls, honestly if we don't get this with 8 wickets left then it is our fault.

117 required off 102 now. Even though Eng are only 2 down, with Cook gone I think the game is still up for grabs.

I'm so proud of Joe Root. A young Yorkshire lad who has just looked like an England player ever since he was introduced.

Great shots from Root.

By the way Beefy has just provided us with a 'world record'...Joe is the first player ever to score 30 or more in his first 6 ODIs :91:

England require another 50 runs with 8 wickets and 48 balls remaining

Match in Poms pocket now.

Root on 53* (39)

Great innings from this lad. He has been Vaughan's protege for some years. You can tell by his stance and strokeplay.

Trott reaches his 50 from 63 balls. Quality anchor innings as usual.

Decider should be interesting
