I've always felt kinda bad for Nawaz. I don't think he's played enough cricket for him to be judged negatively. Maybe I haven't seen much of him but batting wise, we haven't really seen what his play style entails. Bowling wise, he's like Jadeja.

It's because Pakistan have tied him down and teams have identited his go to shot as a weakness (he run down to third man) which he uses to rotate strike.

Look, Pakistan or Asian teams are not used to playing in wind, rain, blustry, cold conditions. This was NZ's biggest advantage. Sure NZ is a good team but not great and Pak will likely do much better in the World Cup. You and the commies need to chill with the hype, the 2015 world cup NZ team was much better.

Btw Isn't your first team India?
 
Nawaz has bowled brilliantly here apart from a couple of loose deliveries down the legside. Shifted the momentum in favour single handedly after those first 5-6 overs. Most posters on here are typical knee jerk reaction types. The guy's played 10 games for crying out loud. That's not a decent enough sample size to judge the true potential of a player.

This team looks so much more balanced on paper. All we need is for Sarfraz to come in at 5 and Hafeez at 6, then we're set. Really happy with Umar Amin's inclusion as well.

I'm not over the moon, it's just that 10 straight wins over Pakistan. If it were a top team like Aus, SA or India that would be something, but this is Pakistan a team who still plays a dated style of cricket and is below us in the rankings.

NZ have actually won ICC Knockout trophy in 2000 (It was basically Champions trophy) by beating India in the finals. They actually beat Pakistan in the semis to reach the finals. So yes they have won a major ICC trophy, not a WC but a ICC trophy.
 
How did Faheem not have the awareness that he could have run with the ball!!

NZ doesn't put all its eggs and produce mediocre results.

Those are pathetic results for a country like Pakistan who is cricket mad, you're behind Aus, India and WI despite having the second biggest talent pool to choose from.

If this team wins will that send a message youngsters are here to stay and seniors are to be packed home. I don’t think so, Azhar Ali will open the innings again. Malik and hafeez continue to dominate their presence and not be useful to the team.

We've won 1 less world tournament than you. Pakistan is almost 50x the size of NZ and cricket isn't even a major sport here.
 
Big push is coming from NZ as they have 15 overs left and 8 wickets in hand. They have two well set players in the middle as well.

No excuse, you won the series deservedly. I said it was an advantage, who the heck plays in rain, clouds, windy weather. Cricket is a summer sport.

We will see you in the QF's in the world cup and send you back to the damp Kiwi land.

But you will be an Indian fan then. :)

This is what happens when minnows win a couple of matches on the trot... they begin overestimating themselves. Same happened with BD, same happens with NZ.

The same side was beaten by bangladesh.but in their own condition they are almost unbeatable.Thats it,
 
Apart from winning test series in aus & sa Mighty pak have achieved everything there is in the game even the under 19s have a few wrld cups under there belt. nz havnt even win a odi series in Ind.

So you should cherish your 10 game winning run.
 
Why aren't Nawaz and Shadab bowling? they were tying knots around the bats
