Yes....PCB should appoint Javed Miandad, Sarfraz Nawaz, Mohammed Yousuf, Saeed Ajmal & Abdul Razzaq.

Combined international experience of 950 international matches.

;-)

Things don't work out like that.

You don't know dynamics of Pakistan Cricket.

The names you have given are not the one I agree with.

In pakistan if a captain or coach have played more matches than chief selector than they over rule and dominate the chief selector and selection committee. Unless there is some credible person who does not allow it to happen but instead resigns. But since these jobs pay much better and they have little international experience so media pays them less and if they are doing government job than they are on paid leave and earn thrice what they earn in their government job so they prefer to be puppets and so called selectors.

I see.....

PCB really needs to be privatized.

I would like to see how a team captain can dominate a selector in a professional setup.

Current situation is a mess.

Sangakkara is still playing league cricket around the world and he might end up playing with a few current SL cricketers. Conflict of interest.

Jayasuriya-led panel to stay on

Sri Lanka’s selection committee under Sanath Jayasuriya has received an extension of term for six months, Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Tuesday (July 4).

Jayasuriya and his five-member team of Romesh Kaluwitharana, Ranjith Madurasinghe, Eric Upashantha and Asanka Gurusinha will stay in the job till December 31, 2017, after their extension was ratified by Dayasiri Jayasekara, the sports minister.

Jayasuriya was first appointed as chairman of the selection committee in January 2013 and performed the role till the end of the World Cup 2015. He was reappointed to the post in April 2016, taking over from Aravinda de Silva, his former Sri Lanka teammate.

Kaluwitharana and Madurasinghe have been a part of the panel since then, while Upashantha has worked under Jayasuriya since the latter’s first term.

Gurusinha, meanwhile, has been added to the selection panel for the first time. The former batsman has been part of the Sri Lankan team management as manager since February this year, and has seen the side go through a disappointing home series against Bangladesh, early exit from the Champions Trophy and a loss to Zimbabwe in a One-Day International in recent times.

Sri Lanka’s next assignment after the ongoing Zimbabwe series is a home clash against India later this month, where the sides will meet for three Tests, five ODIs and one Twenty20 International. Sri Lanka are currently locked 1-1 with Zimbabwe in a five-match ODI series, which will be followed by a one-off Test in Colombo from July 14.
