This overweight loser, that has used poor taxpayers money to go on extended holidays is such an embarrassment

I read this online about him.

*Totally fed up of this ‘Oxford’ talk about Bilawal. Here’s _Bilawals actual story:*

Bilawal did A-Levels from His Highness Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistan School Dubai in 2007. His final A-level grades were (B B C)—way too low for an entry into any top-tier UK university.

Benazir, alive at time, requested Victoria Schofield (a close friend of hers who had written a few books on her and was former President of the Oxford Union Society), Dr. John Sentamu (at that time Archbishop of York) and Wajid Shamsul Hassan (PPP jiala and former High Commissioner in UK) to get something done for Bilawal.

After extensive lobbying and spending £200,000–it was managed in the end.
Bilawal got a compassionate-ground seat at Christ Church, Oxford on a 3-year BA programme, with an extra foundation year, in September 2007. Details of the compassionate-ground reasons are as bellow :

*Wajid shamsul Hassan has given in writing that Bilawal is a Transgender and has No acceptance in our (Pakistan) society; so they have to accommodate him in Oxford on the Transgender factor *
He got his admission and finished his actual 3-year degree programme in 5 years with a lower second class grade (50% aggregate) in 2011*
Will he be our Future PM?

Not a fan of Bilawal, but this story looks like total bogus crap. Low quality.

Do you have a source??

You might want to use one question mark, else your frustration is too obvious to identify when rooting for feudal land owning dynastic criminals.

I will provide it as soon as you provide one for your claim in another thread that converts to Hinduism in the US are growing at the same rate as Muslims.

You were asked by another poster to provide a source yet you continued to post in that thread while ignoring said post.

ASIF ALI ZARDARI SAYS ‘WANTS TO SEE BILAWAL AS PM IN MY LIFE’

Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari expressed his wishes that he wants to see his son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the prime minister (PM) of Pakistan in his life’, ARY News reported on Monday.

While addressing the elected local government (LG) representatives and people of the Zardari tribe in Nawabshah, Asif Ali Zardari said that he wants to see Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as the prime minister of Pakistan in his life.

He claimed that they ousted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan from the prime minister’s office to save the country. “PPP is just a coalition partner of the incumbent government. We will provide employment to the people as we did in past after coming into power.”

“I did so much for my people and they stand beside me after my father. Now, these people should now support Bilawal and Aseefa. You should maintain unity and harmony, as well as work hard for the next generations.”

Earlier, Zardari welcomed the CJP suggestion for political parties to hold talks for the election date. The political parties have initiated talks to solve the issue regarding elections, Asif Zardari added.

He said when the PDM coalition parties should come on the same page for the general elections then the PDM will approach the opposition as well.

The PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari further said that if the CJP gives some time then holding elections on one day will be possible through consultations.

Asif Ali Zardari reaches Lahore to poach PTI deserters

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has stepped up efforts to poach Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deserters ahead of general elections, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

With more than 70 leaders and former lawmakers parting ways with the Imran Khan-led PTI since May 9, the former president has reached Lahore to win over most of the PTI dissidents.

Sources privy to the development told ARY News that Asif Ali Zardari, who is in Lahore now for three days, would welcome a group of south Punjab leaders into his party’s fold today.

Sources told ARY News that more than 15 former lawmakers from South Punjab will announce joining the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) tomorrow. The PTI deserters will make the announcement along with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in a press conference.

Sources claimed that the former president will hold a press conference tomorrow at 8:00pm from Makhdoom House in Model Town.

Over 70 PTI leaders and former lawmakers, including Fawad Chaudhry, Shireen Mazari, Aamir Kiyani, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Abrarul Haq, Amin Aslam, Maleeka Bokhari, Musarrat and Jamshed Cheema, have quit the PTI in light of the May 9 riots.

“I am bound to obey Asif Zardari in matters of the house, but as far as politics, Constitution and party policies are concerned, I am bound to follow the decisions of my workers and the central executive committee of the party,” - Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari

They are only fooling the people of Pakistan. Asif Zardari is speaking in support of the institution, and Bilawal is talking about elections within 90 days so that he can gain the support of voters.

Bilawal looks lost because the Generals want the Sharifs to be the puppets. They are much better at being puppets. But Bilawal got free holidays at the expense of one the poorest countries in the World but what he didn't get was dignity and support. What a loser

Anything is possible in Pakistan because the govt here is not formed by public votes.
Not right now but maybe after 10 years.

Bilawal wasting no time to stay in the lime light

*****
Speaking to the media in Lahore today, PPP Chairman and ex-foreign minister Bilawal said the interim Foreign Office should take notice of the episode and issue a “clear” statement.

Canada had levelled a “big allegation” against India, he noted, adding that India had been “exposed before the world”.

He further stated: “Till when the international community, particularly our friends in the West, will continue to ignore such events involving India. It is time for the international community to accept that India has become a rogue Hindutva terrorist state.

“They have not only conducted terrorism in [occupied] Kashmir, not only we in Pakistan have caught their spies involved in terrorism in our country, but they have now been caught violating the sovereignty of a Nato-member state.

“This is not only a violation of Canadian sovereignty. This is [also] a violation of international law and international norms. And the PPP calls — but Pakistan should call on the international community to stand with the people of Canada and highlight the atrocities of the religio-fascist that is today’s India.”

Country in grip of ‘new form of dictatorship’, says Bilawal
At a ceremony to mark 50th anniversary of 1973 Constitution, PPP chief says delaying polls tantamount to denying it

ISLAMABAD:
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday held that the country was in grip of a "new form of dictatorship", demanding the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to immediately announce the date of general elections.

Bilawal made these remarks during an event organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1973 Constitution. He lauded the SCBA's role in upholding the Constitution, emphasising that it serves as an instrumental safeguard for democratic principles and the protection of human rights.

When the dictators abrogated the Constitution in the past, the judiciary upheld this abrogation sometimes in the name of the ‘doctrine of successful revolution’ and sometimes in the name of the ‘doctrine of necessity’, said the PPP chief.

“One felt as if the soul of the state had been torn by those very luminaires who were supposed to protect and defend it,” he remarked. Chairman Bilawal said that he would not like to dwell more on it, as they say, “Forget the past, arrange for the present and face the future”.

Those who abrogated the Constitution and ridiculed it as merely a 15-page document and those who upheld the abrogation not only disgraced themselves but also heaped disgrace on the people and our nation, he maintained. “They are the traitors of the nation and history will always remember them with this title. This is why it is important to safeguard the Constitution and relentlessly pursue those who have subverted it,” Bilawal emphatically added in his keynote speech.

However, the PPP chairman also commended a recent decision by the Supreme Court, in which it upheld the (Practice & Procedure) Act, 2023—a law enacted by parliament aimed at curbing the unilateral authority of the chief justice to determine benches and unilaterally initiate suo motu proceedings on matters of public significance without consulting other judges.

In a related context, Bilawal lamented that politicians frequently find themselves subject to judicial accountability.

He expressed hope that the apex court's validation of this legislation signaled the possibility of across the board accountability. He suggested that judges should also be prepared to face scrutiny and be held accountable.

During his address, Bilawal underscored the foundational principles of the rule of law enshrined in the Constitution. He emphasised that every state institution was bound to follow the Constitution, adding that any postponement of elections would essentially equate to a denial of elections.

Bilawal made it clear that the Pakistan Peoples Party stands as a staunch advocate of democracy and maintained that their demand for timely elections was a fundamental right guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan.

Bilawal extends olive branch to PTI

In a conciliatory tone, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday invited the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) to join the Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed by two major parties in order to ensure that none of them solicit military support to come to power or to dislodge a democratic government.

While talking to reporters after inaugurating a free diagnostic lab facility under the JDC Foundation, the PPP leader maintained a soft approach for the rival PTI amid election date announcement. He didn’t rule out an electoral alliance with the party, though he didn’t sound very supportive of PTI’s recent attempts to malign state institutions ahead of the upcoming elections.

In response to a question about the possibility of PPP’s electoral alliance with the PTI in Punjab, Mr Bhutto-Zardari said: “We have not yet made any decision in this regard.”

“As far as the Charter of Democracy is concerned, I think all the political parties of the country should come to the CoD, and it will be very good if the PTI also recognises and joins the charter.”

Under the dictatorship of Pervez Musharraf, the then exiled leadership of PPP and PML-N came closer for the first time in their political history and joined hands to sign the CoD in London in May 2006, envisioning the establishment of a new political system of harmony and reconciliation in Pakistan to ensure continuity of oft-derailed democratic system.

Signed by two former premiers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, the document became a source of their joint campaign against the military rule in the country.

‘Welcome to the club’

On the occasion, the PPP chairman welcomed the announcement of election date by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), but reiterated the complaint that level playing field was not available to all the parties contesting elections. Yet he sounded confident that PPP would form the next government.

“All political parties should get a level playing field in the general elections,” he said.

“PPP was never given a level playing field in any of the past elections. Even in 1988 and 2008 [elections], we didn’t have a level playing field, but despite that we secured our mandate and formed the governments. The problem with the PTI is that it demands a level playing field just for itself but no other party. If they [PTI] are facing some difficulties in an election for the first time ever, I would only say welcome to the club.”

On the other hand, Mr Bhutto-Zardari called it a “great achievement” of all political parties that at last the ECP officially announced the date of general elections. But he said it would have been better if the ECP itself had given an election date, and the Supreme Court would not have had to intervene. “Well, whatever happened, it’s done now, the elections should be held on February 8,” he said.

Once the Billoo name becomes associated with PTI, then that's the establishment's annihilation of IK's party complete.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday called on the public to give someone new a chance in the February 8 general election instead of choosing the same prime minister for the “second or 14th time”.

“Instead of making someone the prime minister for the second or 14th time, we should give a chance to someone who hasn’t been given the chance before,” he said while addressing a PPP workers’ convention in Abbottabad.

The former foreign minister said “new politics” would have to be pursued to transform Pakistan into a modern nation. “We will have to make old politicians sit at home,” he said. “Now the time has come that you all rest now,” he said.

Terming “old politics” and decisions taken in backdoor rooms the country’s biggest enemy, the PPP chief said Pakistan could not grow or succeed till the public’s vote was not respected. He said that the solution to the country’s problems lay in serving the public with the right intention, ideology, manifesto and will.

“I am only looking at the public, I want to become the laadla (favourite) of the public,” Bilawal said.

Commenting on his tenure as the foreign minister, he said that he had proved that youngsters performed when they were given a chance to deliver. “If you give us a chance, I promise you that I will never disappoint you and I will serve you day and night,” he told the people attending the convention.

He said 70 per cent of Pakistan’s population was comprised of youngsters below the age of 30.

“We now need to think about whether we will vote for septuagenarians and leave our future in the hands of those who only think of themselves or if we should give a chance to the PPP, the party that thinks about the future,” he said.

Bilawal said if the PPP was given a chance again, it would increase the amount allocated to the Benazair Income Support Programme and would also introduce new social welfare programmes.

Concluding his address, Bilawal said he only believed in his politics and manifesto, adding “this is why I don’t look at anyone for support”. He said “old politics” destroyed the country in 2018 and vowed to not accept the same again.

Bhutto Zardari, Sharifs and the establishment have dominated PK for 75 years and this clown claims to that he is a new face. The clown spent 1.5 years on holiday and achieved precisely zilch. At the same time NS tells us that his brother in power wasn't him and he has the magic formula which he has withheld from his brother🤣🤣🤣

Amid rising tensions between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he was ready to contest upcoming general elections on his performance as foreign minister in previous Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) government, ARY News reported on Saturday.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Peshawar, the PPP chairman said that his party had won elections many times despite all the conspiracies it had faced.

Bilawal Bhutto backed his performance as foreign minister of Pakistan in the 16-month government of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and said he was ready to contest upcoming general elections on his performance.

Calling out his rival PML-N, whom he referred to as ‘Mehngai League’, Bilawal asked are those politicians – who were part of PDM cabinet – ready to contest elections on their 16-month performance.

He also castigated the Nawaz Sharif-led party for compromising ‘vote ko izzat do’ narrative, saying that their real faces have been exposed in front of the masses.

The PPP leader again stressed the need to embark on “new politics”, saying that his party wanted to end the politics of hatred and division. “It wishes to establish new traditions that allow the country to progress and prosper,” he added.

Apparently referring to Nawaz Sharif and PTI chairman Imran Khan, Bilawal asked why make someone the prime minister for the fourth or second time when one can be picked from the youth.

“Our fight is not with any other political party, but poverty, price hikes and unemployment,” the PPP chairman reiterated, adding that he would work for the betterment of the people and Pakistan’s modernisation to transform it into a powerful country if he comes to power.

Stressing that 70 percent of the country’s population comprised youngsters below the age of 30, he asked 70-year-old politicians to “sit home and pave way for youngsters”.

He also requested the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to not fight among themselves. “If you forget these differences, no one can defeat you,” the PPP chief said.

After working as the Foreign Minister under PML(N), Shehbaz Sharif is now calling them rivals. Strange.

Someone new a chance? How are you new ,you puppet!
Who swallows his nonsense, most annoying leader of Pakistan.

I only know one person on this forum…apparently his party’s foreign policy and ability to “amend bills” is enough to deserve a chance at being PM of Pakistan.

Nothing about the state of Sindh which is governed by PPP. 🤐

Although it's fake fight to differentiate one set of thuggish crooks from another, its also also has elements of ego. Even the crooks want to be top dog when it comes to getting people murdered

And he has disappeared from these pages. Remember the celebration when IK was overthrown but today nothing but a shameful embarrassment.

His response will be “at least I can vote, unlike Overseas Pakistani’s”, as if his vote really matters in a pre rigged election. 😆
Its an excellent point. The American ambassador told the world today that PKs matter zilch as they will chose our PM in NS, a guy that cannot win his own seat against any PTI candidate. If beghairati had a name these guys would be its ambassadors

Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Tuesday that the masses must give him a chance instead of politicians who had already had power but did nothing.

Addressing a public gathering in Upper Dir, Bilawal said that if the country’s challenges are to be confronted, the old way of politics would have to be left behind in favour of a new brand of politics.

He said that the main issue in the country was the ego of old politicians. He said that the old guard was busy in fighting personal disputes.

The PPP chairman said he had taken power with the Pakistan Democratic Movement so that the problems of the country could be fixed with unity.

He added that things had worked out well at first and even the institutions had announced that they would be ‘neutral’. He said that PPP had welcomed the new stance from institutions.

However, he said that the alliance had failed to achieve the objectives it had come to power to deliver as no relief had been given to the public.

Bilawal said that the masses had seen the real face of both the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and both had done nothing to solve the country’s problems.

He added that now the masses must give a chance to the PPP.

Bilawal said that PPP’s government is not a government of the elite but instead represents the people of poor areas of the country.

He has been in power in Sindh for nearly 16 years and has no success to show at all. He was in power in for 6 months and used to go on holiday and his father ruled for 5 years and it remains one of the most corrupt periods in our history, only superseded by the coalition he was in for 16 months. Is this guy dumb or playing dumb.

Wait so family dynasties, corruption, collusion with armed forces and buying off other politicians isn't the old way?

Apparently he has had a falling out with his father. Zardari is happy to accept the establishments decision of Nawaz being the next PM whereas Bilawal feels cheated.

Asif Zardari says Bilawal ‘not fully trained’ in politics

Former President Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that his son and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari was “not fully trained” in politics and would “take time” getting up to speed.

The PPP co-chairman made these remarks during an interview on Geo News programme ‘Capital Talk’ with journalist Hamid Mir.

To a question about Bilawal’s recent comments, in which he urged the nation to let older politicians “stay at home” and to give someone new a chance in the general elections, Zardari said: “Politics is my compulsion, not a necessity. Because Bibi sahiba was martyred, Bhutto sahib was martyred and thousands of our workers were martyred. So there is a debt on us and I am in politics for that.

“And then Bilawal is also not fully trained. [We] are training him,” he said.

“Bilawal is not trained?” asked an astonished Mir, to which Zardari shook his head.

“He’ll take time,” the PPP leader said. At the same time, Zardari said Bilawal was more talented, educated, and better-spoken than him but “experience is experience”.

Later in the interview, Zardari was asked about Bilawal’s views on older politicians. “The younger generation these days has their own thinking […] everyone has a right to express their thoughts,” he said.

He further said that stopping someone would only create more problems. “What if he says ‘you do politics, I will not’. Then what will I do?”

Zardari said Bilawal’s remarks were directed at everyone. “He is saying it to everyone and not just Zardari sahib.”

He said that politics took time and even he sometimes made mistakes. “It’s not like I don’t make [mistakes]. The journey of life is to learn from cradle to grave.”

Zardari said within the PPP there were “two parties”. “One is PPP and one is PPPP. I have PPPP and I am its president. Bilawal is the chairman of PPP,” he said, adding that he handed out tickets to party candidates.

AZ saved his bacon by bending over backwards for Bajwa and funding the coup. The blowback is that Billo is even more irrelevant now than he was before. NS and the establishment have kissed and made up, but Billo has to suck upto NS for a post because he has no support( NS has none either and can never win any fair election). In a fair election PTI would destroy the PPP in Sindh and poor Billo would just have to rely on killing more people for protection money

Rumours of differences between Bilawal and Zardari ‘baseless’: PPP

The PPP on Thursday termed reports of differences between Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and his father Asif Ali Zardari “baseless”, adding that the former had departed for Dubai on a scheduled visit.

The statements from PPP leaders came after several news channels reported earlier today that Bilawal had suddenly departed for Dubai without informing the party leadership.

The reports alleged that the departure was linked to tensions between the father-son duo following a recent interview by Zardari, in which he had said that Bilawal was not yet fully trained while commenting on his son’s political journey.

“He’ll take time,” Zardari had said in an interview with Geo News on Thursday night. Acknowledging that Bilawal was “more talented, educated and better spoken than me”, Zardari had said: “But experience is experience.”

It should be noted that in recent days, Bilawal has repeatedly called on the nation to let older politicians “stay at home” and to give someone new a chance in the general elections.

Moreover, while speaking in the National Assembly in August, Bilawal — the youngest foreign minister in the country’s history — had also implored his father and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif to take decisions that would make politics easier for the younger generation, which he said was losing hope in the country’s future.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), PPP Central Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi said: “Bilawal has left for Dubai yesterday afternoon according to his schedule after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visit.

“Rumours regarding differences between the PPP chairman and president Zardari are baseless,” he said.

PPP Senator Sherry Rehman too reiterated the same. “Don’t know why the panicked reporting on some channels. Chairman Bilawal left for Dubai yesterday late afternoon exactly as scheduled,” she said.

Further, PPP’s Shazia Marri told Geo News that Bilawal left for Dubai after the end of his KP tour for “personal engagements”. She said there was “nothing surprising” about the visit and Bilawal would return soon.

Marri said the reason for the visit was not what was being reported in the media, adding that an attempt way to “sensationalise” the matter was underway.

In Pakistani politics, you cannot be sure about most of the things. But I am pretty sure that they will end up on the same page even with their differences.

Asif Zardari stresses nation to support Bilawal Bhutto

Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday delivered an impassioned address to party workers in Quetta, emphasizing the enduring mission of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed for an independent and dignified Pakistan.

He underscored their commitment to building a progressive nation, expressing confidence in the support for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Zardari highlighted the resolute dedication of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto to the core values encapsulated in the manifesto of providing essential necessities - bread, cloth, and housing. He paid homage to the martyrs, revering their sacrifices for democracy's restoration, considering them the heroes in the struggle for democracy. He acknowledged the hardships faced by dedicated workers who endured challenging circumstances.

Reflecting on Bhutto’s legacy, Zardari emphasized the invaluable achievement of fostering freedom of speech, attributing today’s openness to the enduring legacy of Bhutto Shaheed’s efforts and the perseverance of the party's workers, known as Jials.

He reiterated the vision of an independent, dignified Pakistan as the cornerstone of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed’s mission, a cause that saw both Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed sacrifice their lives.

Calling for unwavering support, particularly for the youthful Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Zardari expressed confidence that the PPP chairman would live up to the expectations and aspirations of the nation.

It is not easy to understand the PPP politics, especially when Asif Zardari is in charge.

The modern PPP has no identity. Any claim to moral died when they fronted Bajwas coup. Now its just Make deals, steal lots of money and stay out of prison. No wonder the PPP has died and gets less than 5% in national polls.

People of Sindh have become mental slaves.
Not if there is a free election. Establishment allow them to take Sindh as some sort of compensation. But today they are hated and hence Billo apologising for the disastrous 18 months, most of which he was on holiday. IK would wipe the floor with all the parties across the country including the Establishment at the centre. The genie is out of the bag, establishment is getting desperate to keep hold of their privileges

People should decide country’s future, says Bilawal

QUETTA: The time has come to let citizens decide the future of Pakistan, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said on Friday, highlighting the urgency of public involvement in the country’s political, economic and social spheres.

“I know how elections are conducted. But I also know that when the people of Pakistan wake up, no one can stop them,” Mr Bhutto-Zardari said in a speech delivered to the Balochistan High Court Bar Association in Quetta.

He expressed his deep empathy for the hardships faced by the people of Balochistan, drawing parallels with his personal experiences of loss.

“I also suffered from this tragedy, losing my near and dear ones,” he said.

Highlighting that the general election was around the corner, he raised questions about the current political options available to voters.

In a thinly veiled reference to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, the PPP chairman said: “We are being told that the one who became prime minister three times will now take the helm for the fourth time and get the country out of trouble.”

He then took a dig at PTI Chairman Imran Khan, criticising him for his approach to handling critical issues like the Hazara protests and the missing persons, urging the people not to allow history to repeat itself. “I know that when the people and the youth take a decision, no power in the world can reverse it,” Mr Bhutto-Zardari said.

“I request you to surprise them all on Feb 8 (when the elections are scheduled), use your voting power, come out in large numbers, and don’t leave the fate of the country to two people,” he said, referring to Mr Sharif and Mr Khan.

The PPP chairman clarified that he was not against the old age of these two leaders, but their politics.

“You can adopt a new style of politics for this country even when you are old, and you can be interested in the same old style of politics even when you are young,” he said. “We will bury the politics of hate, ego and division and move forward.”

Mr Bhutto-Zardari also touched upon the issue of missing persons in Balochistan, expressing solidarity with the victims’ families and questioning the ongoing violence in the region.

He mentioned PPP’s efforts for the province during the tenure of former president Asif Ali Zardari, including initiatives like Aghaz-i-Haqooq-i-Balochistan, the Eighteenth Amendment and the National Finance Commission Award.

Highlighting the successes of PPP-led initiatives in Sindh, including the Thar coal project and other development schemes, Mr Bhutto-Zardari showcased his party’s commitment to economic and social advancement.

He said that Tharparkar was presented as Africa in the past, but now women in the region were working as engineers and truck drivers on the Thar coal project.

Friday’s meeting was attended by Balochistan High Court Bar Association President Afzal Harifal and notable political figures like Changez Jamali, Sardar Sanaullah Zehri, Rozi Khan Kakar and Syed Agha Zahoor Agha.

Bilawal wants to become next PM without relying on ‘Gate No 4 politics'

As the nation is gearing up for next year’s general election, former foreign minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has intensified his electioneering by insisting that he isn’t aware of “Gate No 4 politics” and that he solely relies on the people to bring his party into power.

In his address to a workers' convention in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's (KP) Shangla district on Thursday, said: “On the one hand there is politics of divide, and on the other, economic conditions are getting worse", as per Geo News.

“We don’t know the politics of abuse and TikTok. We don’t know the politics of Gate No 4. I trust the people; I will not look anywhere else; I will not ask for help from anyone, but only the people.”

Bilawal claimed that he is the only politician whose “hands are clean” and that there is no other politician in any other political party who has the same clean slate as him.

With the February 8, 2024, elections a few months away, parties are holding rallies and meetings, and bringing prominent politicians to their hold to solidify their positions.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) — a former ally of the PPP and now its foe seemingly — has presented Nawaz Sharif as their premiership candidate, while the PPP has insisted that Bilawal will be their choice for the top slot.

Although Asif Ali Zardari, Bilawal’s father, said in a recent interview that his son was “inexperienced”, the party backed the chairman as its choice for the prime minister’s position — come what may.

“There is no other political party or politician whose hands are clean. I have been foreign minister for 18 months and my hands are clean. I want to fill your pocket instead of filling mine. I promise you in five years, your salary will double.”

Bilawal further said that the country was in “trouble” and asked the nation to support him in a bid to “change the fate of Pakistan”.

“I have observed all the politicians closely, they only rely on old politics: the politics of revenge. We have to bury such politics,” the scion of the Bhutto family added.

Bilawal, the country’s youngest foreign minister, said his battle was not with “old politicians”, but poverty, unemployment, and inflation. “The PPP has taken Pakistan out of crises before [and we plan on doing it again].”

I don't think PPP will have enough seats in the upcoming general elections to have their prime minister.

In a fair election the PPP would lose Sindh to the PTI. The PPP have nothing to show for 15 years rule and the only reason they hold power is because they kill and intimidate opponents.

Bilawal vows to put an end to ‘traditional politics’

SHANGLA: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Thursday said that political parties have created an environment of polarisation and egoistic politics to divide the nation, vowing he would end traditional politics and bring progress and prosperity to the country.

During his inaugural visit to Shangla district, the PPP chairman addressed a workers’ convention in Damorai area of Kana tehsil.

“The country is riddled with woes, be it the heightened polarisation in politics or the economic crisis. In this situation, the traditional politicians are adamant on continuing the politics of hate, ego and division, transforming it into a vehicle for personal vendettas rather than maintaining it as a platform for a difference of opinion,” the PPP leader said.

He highlighted that these politicians lack interest in resolving the people’s problems, emphasising that rising inflation, poverty, and unemployment are critical issues for the citizens but rank low on these politicians’ agenda.

“I would like to convey to the country’s youngsters and students that the PPP has historically helped the country emerge from deep turmoil and remains the sole party that can provide ‘Roti, Kapra aur Makaan’, considering poverty and price hikes as its opponents,” Mr Bhutto-Zardari said.

The PPP chairman asserted that his hands were untainted by the blood of the Pakistani people, and he had not enriched himself through corruption. Remaining fair and transparent in Pakistani politics was challenging, he expressed, emphasising his goal to economically empower labourers.

“I have been in politics for the last 19 years, during which my father served as president for five years, there were 15 years of provincial government, and I was the foreign minister for 18 months. My hands are clean, and even my opponents cannot level allegations of corruption against me,” he asserted.

“We have been fighting this war for three generations, learning to serve the downtrodden masses through our elders. This is our political training. We reject the politics of name-calling, TikTok, or Gate No. 4. Quaid-i-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had said that the political heaven is under the feet of the people. We do not seek guidance from anyone else; we trust the people of Pakistan.”

“I am the grandson of the person who gave us the slogan ‘people are the source of all power’,” Mr Bhutto-Zardari said.

If he comes to power, Mr Bhutto-Zardari pledged to double salaries over five years, introduce a youth card programme, and further enhance the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), emphasising that this is the responsibility of the state.

He promised to prioritise working for the progress of Shangla coal miners.

He said that he was aware of the financial constraints faced by people, especially in rural areas, urging them to trust him and promising to work for them, like his mother Benazir Bhutto did.

“We are constructing 200,000 concrete houses in the Sindh for the flood victims, enabling the poor affected community to have their own homes,” the PPP leader announced.

The traditional shawl and cap were presented to Mr Bhutto-Zardari on the occasion.

Earlier, PPP provincial president Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, general secretary Shazi Khan, central information secretary Faisal Kareem Kundi, Malakand division coordinator Dr Afsarul Mulk Khan, and others also spoke at the event.

Dr Afsarul Mulk highlighted Shangla’s issues and recalled the historical association of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto with Shangla.

Afsarul Mulk Khan informed the PPP chairman about core grievances and concerns of Shangla people, including coal miners’ protection, alleged harassment of Pakhtuns in Sindh, and the need for fair elections in the district.

He requested the PPP leader that, upon assuming power, a 500-bed hospital and a medical college be built in Shangla, urging him to fulfil the promises made by the PPP’s martyred leaders to the local residents.

The only thing I liked about Bilawal is that he has zero ego and very humble person despite having all the luxuries in his life since childhood.

Nawaz must opt for election, not ‘selection’: Bilawal

LOWER DIR: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has called his nemesis Nawaz Sharif ‘the prime minister of Raiwind’ and asked him to contest elections and give up “the politics of selection”.

The PPP chairman, while addressing a workers’ convention at the Timergara Rest House ground on Saturday, said that before becoming prime minister for a fourth time, Mr Sharif should be asked about his performance during the previous three terms.

Mr Sharif was “brought to power” three times, but every time “he fought with the very forces that had brought him to power”, the PPP chairman said.

“If Mian Sahib [Mr Sharif] becomes the prime minister, we will again see the traditional politics, and he will fight with those who brought him to power.”

Says every time PML-N supremo became PM, he fought with forces who handed him power

Along with Mr Sharif, the PPP leader censured his other political rival, Imran Khan, claiming they both “failed to keep their promises made with the nation”.

He said PPP had no rivalry with the two leaders but was “fighting against poverty, inflation and unemployment”.

Mr Khan was ‘the prime minister of Zaman Park’, he said, and added: “Polarisation is at the peak, and the politics of hatred and egoism is dividing the nation.”

He said Mr Khan, as prime minister, failed to fulfil his promise of building five million houses and providing 10m jobs.

The ex-PM came to power “with the slogan of change and Naya Pakistan,” but nothing changed, and the politics of hatred and abuse was promoted.

People “should vote for PPP” to end this environment of acrimony and elect him the next prime minister if they want the country to progress and develop, said Mr Bhutto-Zardari.

Appreciating the people of Dir, the PPP leader recalled that they had supported his grandfather, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and his mother, Benazir Bhutto.

“The people made their sister, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the first woman prime minister in the history of Muslim world, and she struggled for democracy and the rights of people for three decades.”

After Ms Bhutto’s assassination, the PPP leader said, “people elected PPP again in the 2008 elections”, after which the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was able to get its own identity and share in resources.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari renamed the then North West Frontier Province and passed the “historic” 18th Amendment to provide the province its share in the resources.

Mr Bhutto-Zardari said his party, if elected to power, would link Dir and Chitral to Tajikistan through motorway so that local traders could benefit from the ease of mobility.

He asked the gathering to convey to the women of Dir that his party would serve them and try to make the dream of his mother come true.

“The PPP would distribute national resources with justice.”

The PPP chairman said there were PML-N ministers in the caretaker government and vowed to resist the privatisation of PIA.

The nation “would not let the PML-N buy PIA as there were reports that it had been pur-chased instead of privatisation”.

The national carrier’s workers’ union should be taken into confidence, and PPP will “fully support the employees” on this issue, he added.

Other than Mr Bhutto-Zardari, the gathering was addressed by PPP KP chief Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, former MNA Akhunzada Chattan and local leaders Malik Azmat Khan, Mahmood Zeb Khan, Muhammad Zamin Khan and others.

PPP to field Bilawal for PM, Zardari for president: Faisal Kundi

PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will stand for the coveted role of prime minister while his father and former president Asif Ali Zardari will be the nominee for president in the upcoming polls, party information secretary Faisal Karim Kundi said on Thursday.

His statement comes days after Zardari indicated that the party had yet to finalise who it would field for the role of the premier.

He had said the next prime minister could be from the PPP and that time would tell who it would be when questioned if it could be Bilawal.

“Bilawal can be the [candidate] and I can be too … Khurshid Shah also says he can be made [the prime minister],” he had stated.

Speaking to the media today in Islamabad, Kundi confirmed that Bilawal will be the candidate for the seat of prime minister.

“Our wish will be that we replay 2018 [scenario] and make Asif Zardari the president,” he added, possibly referring to the 2008 elections when Zardari was elected as the president.

The leader also reiterated the party’s oft-voiced stance that the elections “should not be delayed” beyond Feb 8, 2024 after Zardari said that a delay of “eight to 10 days” would make no difference.

“It is better than selection and becoming a laadla (favourite) that we sit in the opposition,” Kundi said in an apparent reference to PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Terming former ally PML-N’s politics as “drawing room politics”, the PPP leader wondered why the “party that calls itself the country’s biggest is running away from elections”.

“If a party is this big, then why does it talk about delay of two months in the elections?” he asked.

Kundi asserted that a comparison of rallies held by Nawaz and his daughter and PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam to those held by Bilawal would show that the nation was with the PPP.

The politician affirmed that his party was “fully ready” for the general elections.

Referring to reports of a ban on the use of social media during elections, he said it would be “against freedom of expression” as the public had the right to express their opinions.

Speaking about Nawaz’s recent acquittals in graft cases, Kundi said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had always been used for “political engineering”.

“The same NAB used to make cases against Nawaz Sharif and is now acquitting him one after another,” he remarked.

“The public should be informed whether the NAB was wrong in the past or is wrong today. The NAB is not anyone’s property but an institution.”

Condemning the recent terror incident in which 23 soldiers got martyred after militants stormed a compound used by the military in Dera Ismail Khan, the PPP leader said the party had been urging for implementation of the National Action Plan.

Echoing his party chairman’s recent remarks, Kundi asked, “Who resettled terrorists in the country and brought them here? On whose directives were they set free?”

Speaking about the presidential reference taken up by the Supreme Court after more than a decade, the politician said Zulfikar Ali Bhutto “should be served justice”.

“Those involved in martyring Bhutto should be punished, whether they are bureaucrats, judges or lawyers,” he added.

Bilawal becoming the primie minister after the upcoming general election is very unlikely but we may see Asif Zardari as our next president.

The only thing I liked about Bilawal is that he has zero ego and very humble person despite having all the luxuries in his life since childhood.

That's all well and good but what Pakistan is looking for is a leader. A jellyfish also has zero ego and humility, but unfortunately like Bilawal it also has zero spine. That might work for the jellyfish when it's minding it's own business in the sea, but not much use for PM of a country like Pakistan.

The only thing I liked about Bilawal is that he has zero ego and very humble person despite having all the luxuries in his life since childhood.

You would think that after looting billions from the poor they would have thrown at least a couple of rupees towards his upbringing and PR skills.

Unless of course you know him personally and can vouch for his actual character?

Not that any of this matters.
He talks about the PM being Elected and not Selected, but how did he get to where he is now without being selected to do so?

PPP to kick off election campaign on Dec 27

KARACHI: Despite its reservations about a level playing field in the lead-up to general elections, PPP has announced on Saturday that it will launch the election campaign on December 27 — the 16th death anniversary of former party leader and prime minster Benazir Bhutto.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at Bilawal House on Saturday, a day after the Election Commission of Pakistan released the schedule of general polls.

During the meeting, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari gave a nod to the consensual decision and asked local leaders to mobilise the activists and design election-related activities in respective districts and areas.

The meeting, attended by all senior leaders through video link, also shared thoughts on giving the final touches to the party manifesto, which would be announced “very soon.”

Briefing the media after the meeting, senior PPP leader Senator Sherry Rehman said despite serious reservations and consistent efforts from the senior leadership to fix all flaws before polls, the party is set to go into polls with a full force “with or without level playing field”.

“We welcome the decision of the Supreme Court verdict that ensured the February 8 polls,” she said.

“You all are witness that it’s the consistent effort of [PPP] chairman Bilawal who built the pressure for timely elections. We were the only ones who had been raising voices since the very first day for free, fair, and timely elections, and other [parties] were looking for escape and delay in the polls. So the meeting today decided that on Dec 27, while marking the death anniversary of BB Shaheed, chairman Bilawal Bhutto would launch our election campaign.”

Though the SC had played its role in ensuring elections on Feb 8, she said, all “is not well” before elections in many parts of the country. “We have serious reservations over several things and issues.”

As general elections draw near, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Murad Ali Shah on Sunday said that the party is well poised to form the next government in the Centre.

Speaking to ARY News exclusively, the former Sindh chief executive ruled out any ‘competition’ for PPP in Sindh while noting that the party has secured majority in Balochistan too.

Referring to PML-N surpemo Nawaz Sharif visit to Balochistan, Murad Ali Shah said that the former premier did not even leave the hotel during his stay and held meetings in the room.

“[PPP leadership] Asif Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto visited individuals’ homes in Balochistan,” he added.

Furthermore, the PPP leader said the party would also secure seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). “We are targeting to get enough seats to form PPP’s government in the Centre,” he added.

The former Sindh CM further said that Bilawal Bhutto would be the candidate for prime ministership. “PPP would soon bring its own prime minister and provide relief to common man by introducing necessary reforms,” he added.

In apparent reference to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Murad said a political party, which demanded immediate election, hatched conspiracy to delay the polls. He also hailed the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) for ‘foiling the conspiracy to delay the elections’.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued the election schedule for the upcoming February 8 general polls in compliance with the Supreme Court (SC) order issued earlier.

According to a notification issued by the electoral watchdog, the public notice would be issued by the Returning Officer (RO) on December 19 with the dates for filing nominations from Dec 20-22.

The ECP, in its notification, stated that the names of the nominated candidates would be published on Dec 23 while the last date for scrutiny of their nomination papers would be from Dec 24-30.

The development came hours after Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan ordered the ECP to announce the election schedule by tonight as it suspended a Lahore High Court (LHC) order on the appointment of returning officers (ROs) and district returning officers (DROs) from the bureaucracy, which cast uncertainty over holding of general polls.

The Pakistan Supreme Court also issued a contempt of court notice to Barrister Umair Niazi – who filed the petition on behalf of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – seeking an explanation as to why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him.

In a free election the people of Sindh are going to dump these crooks and would also vote for IK. After 40 years of Bhutto zinda hai, they kill the poor of Sindh with their theft and outright murder. Munafiqs

PPP will surprise everyone if provided level playing field: Bilawal

LAHORE (News Desk) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto said on Monday if the PPP got a level playing field in Punjab, it would surprise everyone.

Speaking to media, he said the regime of Nawaz Sharif proved no less than a dictatorship for the PPP workers.

“The PPP is a political party and the doors of a political party should always remain open for discussion,” he said.

Bilawal said it was good to be in Lahore as the PPP was quite organised here.

“Inflation, poverty and unemployment have hit the common people hard,” he stated, adding whenever the PPP came to power, it fought against unemployment and inflation.

In the past, the PPP launched the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and programmes would be launched for the youth and workers in the future to give them relief, the PPP chief promised.

“I will take everyone along with me and a great deal of work is required to prove PPP's prowess in Lahore,” he concluded.

If everyone gets level playing field then PTI is likely to win in most places. PPP is ever going to win many seats from Punjab in any case.

The PPP won't win a seat in Punjab in a free and fair elections. In Gujar Khan Raja Rental is getting smashed and it's one of the few seats they won last time

Bhutto this, Bhutto that..

Enough already.

Bhutto and his general Yahya, were the culprits behind that Bangladesh fiasco and the Shimla agreement that followed which effectively caused the Kashmir fiasco.

Haven't even started on the evil murderous crook that Zardari is.

People need to wake up and stop supporting thieves.

Bilawal compares PML-N tenure to ‘dictatorship’

LAHORE: PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari continued to target erstwhile ally PML-N on Monday, saying the regime of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had not been less than dictatorship for the PPP workers.

Talking to the media after visiting party worker Zubaidah Shaheen in Baghbanpura, the PPP chief eulogised the services of ‘jiyalas’ for democracy, saying they resisted all past dictatorships, including that of Gen Ziaul Haq and Gen Musharraf.

Nawaz Sharif had served thrice as prime minister and the PPP chairman did not explain which tenure he was referring to. Mr Bhutto-Zardari said the party could give a good performance in Punjab this time provided it was provided a level playing field in the province.

The popularity graph of the PPP in terms of national and Punjab assembly seats in the province has been on the decline since 2002. The PPP chairperson said that he liked Lahore as it was the city where the PPP was founded as he pledged to make efforts to make the provincial capital a citadel of the PPP, again.

He said that the PPP was not competing with any political party, rather it was making efforts to counter inflation, poverty and unemployment that have put the people in trouble. He regretted that presently a politics of hatred and division was going on in the country.

Recalling the Benazir Income Support Programme, he said that if voted to power, the PPP would launch similar programmes to give relief to the youth and workers. Responding to a question about talks with opponent parties, he said that the PPP was a political party and doors of political parties were always open for discussion and dialogues. Aslam Gill, Azizur Rahman Chan, Sonia Khan, Zulfikar Ali Bader, and other PPP leaders were also present.

Bilawal calls for burying old politics to solve problems

LAHORE: Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called for burying archaic and conventional politics to resolve problems, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

“Conventional politics will not take the country to anywhere,” addressing the Lahore High Court Bar, former foreign minister said.

He said the country is required to be guided to a new direction.

“A man wants to become Ameer-ul-Momineen, while another intends to run the country with his tiger force,” Bilawal Bhutto said.

“The founder of the PTI himself introduced the politics of hate and division,” he said. “Sending someone to jail is not success but a political failure,” PPP chairman said.

PPP leader said that the economic team that came after the PTI’s founder also failed to overcome the price hike and inflation.

“This country belong to all of us, we have to add our share of efforts in its development,” Bilawal urged.

“With the grace of God, we will guide the country out of dire straits,” he vowed.

He also advised youth to ditch the persons who try to make you fool.

It seems that he is trying to get as much attention as he can from the young population of Pakistan but I guess people know that Asif Zardari is still calling all the shots for PPP so I am not sure how much of this "young leader and new imagination" statement is going to work for him and his party.

Billo has a terrible legacy of a corrupt family that has no scruples when it comes to stealing from the poorest in PK and in Sindh particular. Last week AZ called Billo too inexperienced to make decisions for the PPP but @Major was excited when Billo became Foreign Secretary. So a guy not experienced enough to run a party with no support was OK to run the Foreign policy of a country with a population of 250mn and facing multiple threats

Bilawal takes on Sharif brothers in their political stronghold

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has strategically opted to challenge the long-standing influence of the Sharif brothers in Lahore during the upcoming polls on February 8, as revealed by sources from Geo News on Friday. Bilawal has meticulously chosen to contest elections from the NA-128 constituency in Lahore, historically regarded as the political bastion of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). The PML-N has consistently secured a majority of seats in the provincial capital over multiple past elections.

In a concerted effort, Bilawal is not alone in this endeavor, as political associates Hafiz Mohiuddin and Misbah-ur-Rehman are poised to file their nomination papers for provincial assembly seats within the same NA-128 constituency. The nomination papers are scheduled to be submitted on this very day (Friday), as December 22 marks the deadline for this crucial step in the electoral process. Despite the pleas for an extension of the deadline by several political parties, including the PML-N, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has not yet made a decisive ruling on the matter.

The NA-128 constituency is anticipated to witness a heated competition, with PML-N’s Mian Ahmed Subhan slated to challenge Bilawal for electoral supremacy. Notably, this electoral battleground is not limited to the clash between PPP and PML-N, as other political heavyweights, such as Maryam Nawaz and Nawaz Sharif, are expected to vie for political dominance in Punjab’s capital.

Adding to the electoral fervor, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has declared his intent to contest polls from three constituencies, including Lahore, intensifying the competition further. The much-anticipated general elections, scheduled for February 8, 2024, were set in motion following the issuance of the election schedule in adherence to the directive from the Supreme Court. As the political landscape evolves, the stage is set for a compelling and dynamic electoral showdown in Lahore’s NA-128 constituency and beyond.

Bilawal Bhutto expected to contest election from NA-127 Lahore

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is expected to contest elections from NA-127 Lahore.

The development came after the party leadership rejected the proposal of fielding the former foreign minister in the NA-128. According to the PPP senior leadership, the NA-128 constituency had never turned out to be “beneficial” for the PPP.

Bhutto-Zardari’s nomination papers are expected to be submitted tomorrow to the returning officer (RO).

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Vawda exchanged views on the country’s political situation on Friday.

Vawda called on the former president. On this occasion, both leaders discussed matters pertaining to the upcoming elections.

Zardari and Vawda also shed light on Sindh's political landscape.

We may see PML(N) not contesting against Bilawal in NA-127 but he may still get some tough competition from other political parties here.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday said that if his party is elected during the upcoming general elections, the PPP government will abolish 17 ministries in the centre, which are not constitutionally required after the 18th amendment.

Addressing the annual function of Bakhtawar Cadet College for Women as chief guest, Bilawal said that Pakistan has so many resources that the problems faced by the nation can be solved.

“Babus (bureaucracy) of Islamabad say that there is not enough funds in the country, but let me tell you that from where we can save money and spend it on the welfare of public,” he said.

He pointed out that by closing those 17 ministries in the centre, Rs300 billion can be saved annually and such money could be spent on the development and welfare of the people.

“If traditional politics of division and hatred are left aside and joint efforts are made, then the destiny of the country can be changed,” he added.

The former foreign minister termed the economic crisis, climate breakdown and growing population as a challenging situation for the nation, but has also reiterated his resolve, saying, “We will turn our difficulties into opportunities. Problems can be solved by working together and utilising the country’s resources.”

The PPP chairman said that the future of the country is the youth of Pakistan. “If the politics of division, hatred and abuse are buried, Pakistan’s problems can be solved," he added.

Bilawal said that the country was currently facing many difficulties. "On one hand, there are threats caused by the economic crisis and climate change, on the other, there is the pressure of problems arising due to the growing population in the country," he added.

The PPP chairman, while discussing the solutions to the problems facing the country, said that the incoming government will first have to take responsibility for doubling the salaries to fight inflation during its five-year term.

“Pakistan is an agricultural country, and we all know that if the farmers are prosperous, the whole of Pakistan will become prosperous,” he said, adding that PPP intends to take measures for the prosperity of farmers across Pakistan.

"The PPP government will introduce Kisan Card for farmers, Mazdoor Card for labourers and Youth Card for youth."

He said that instead of giving the subsidy of billions of rupees to the mill owners through the said cards, the funds would directly reach the backward working classes.

He vowed that youth centres will be established in every district with a digital library, free Wi-Fi facilities, vocational training and career counselling as well as cultural and sports facilities, adding that steps will be taken at the government level for the employment of Pakistani youths abroad.

“(From the time of the foreign ministry term) I have also started working in this regard and have also spoken to Japan and Europe,” he said.

Bilawal said that if the PPP is successful in the upcoming elections due on February 8 next year, then its government will build development projects across the country keeping in view the climate change.

He urged the nation, saying: “We have to explain to the world that in the situation caused by climate change, Pakistan’s role is at the forefront of the war. Pakistan’s share in these factors is not even one per cent, which are the cause of climate change.”

The former foreign minister, while discussing the solutions to the energy crisis facing the country, stressed that Pakistan has to invest in green and solar energy.

He said that the PPP government after winning the elections will establish energy parks at the district level under public-private partnership and free electricity will be provided to poor families using up to 300 units per month.

Bilawal was received by Chairman of the Board of Governors of the educational institution Vice Air Chief Khalid Mehmood and Principal Dr Farida Sheikh on his arrival.

During the ceremony, Bilawal was presented guard of honour by the third badge of Bakhtawar Cadet College. On this occasion, former Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and former Sindh health minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho also accompanied Bilawal.

Bilawal Bhutto decides against contesting elections from Karachi

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had not submitted the nomination papers for any of the seats in Karachi.

Despite the stronghold in Karachi, the PPP top brass had decided not to contest the elections from Karachi. PPP leader Murtaza Wahab said: “Bilawal Bhutto can contest elections from any constituency he wants to contest the elections from.”

In 2018, Bhutto-Zardari started his electoral career in Lyari. Not only this, the NA seat from Lyari is the stronghold of the Bhutto family, as in 1988, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto contested the elections from Lyari.

Former president Asif Ali Zardari had also contested the elections from Lyari.

Apart from that, former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto also took part in elections from Lyari.
