He has even less support than NS and SS but wants to be PM. He really is following in the footsteps of grandfather and his love of the boots ( ultimately that didn't work out well). And the reason he is doing all this is because he like the Nooras has realised that they have no chance to be ever elected as PM through the vote.

Bilawal warns of confrontation if constitutional amendment not passed before Oct 25

As the coalition government determined to pass a judiciary-centric constitutional package, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari warned of potential confrontation if the proposed amendments did not pass before October 25 — the retirement date of the incumbent chief justice.

Last month, the coalition government made a futile attempt to pass a ‘closely-guarded’ constitutional package amid speculation about a potential extension in the tenure of Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.

However, the government failed to even table the amendments in parliament after JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman refused to support the government's judicial package, leaving the contentious amendments hanging in the balance.

Ostensibly, the government was short of 13 votes in the National Assembly and nine in the Senate as the said legislation requires a two-thirds majority in both houses.

In an informal conversation with journalists today, Bilawal — who is leading from the front in pushing the package — warned that if constitutional amendments were not passed before October 25, the country might face a "face-off"-like situation.

US takes notice of Bilawal's claims that federal govt misused $400m flood aid

The United States has taken notice of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's allegations against the Shehbaz Sharif-led government regarding the mismanagement of $400 million in flood relief aid.

Bilawal claimed the funds, which were intended to aid flood victims, had been appropriated by the federal government for unrelated purposes.

Bilawal asserted that he secured the $400 million in loans and aid from the World Bank, but the federal government had retained the money and was instead providing him with rupees, claiming these funds would be used for various projects.

He criticised the government’s failure to construct housing for flood victims, demanding that the funds be properly allocated.

Addressing the matter during a press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Mathew Miller emphasised the seriousness with which the US views the situation.

“We take this matter very seriously, not just in Pakistan but also wherever American taxpayer dollars are used and where urgent humanitarian interests are at stake,” Miller stated.

He further highlighted that the State Department and USAID have stringent systems in place to monitor and evaluate how aid is used, and that assistance would be halted if it is found to be misdirected or misused.

Few days ago, speaking at an event in Quetta, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the federal share should be given to Sindh and Balochistan as they are being treated unfairly.

Whether it's the $400 million World Bank loan or ongoing World Bank projects in Sindh, or the European Union's announced aid of €700 million, Bilawal stated that he collected all this funding as Pakistan's foreign minister and made appeals for help to the world alongside the Prime Minister.

He said the money is not being handed over to any federal or provincial bureaucrat; the provincial Department of Planning and Development is safeguarding it.

He emphasised that they have outsourced the project to ensure transparency.

The project is funded by the World Bank, the Sindh government, and the federal government, with additional funds secured.

He questioned why all these promises could not be fulfilled for Balochistan, calling it an injustice to the province.

Bilawal stated that the $400 million loan he obtained from the World Bank has been kept by the federal government, which is instead providing him with rupees, claiming it will be used for projects.

He criticized the federal government for not constructing a single house over the past years and urged that the flood victims be reached with the funds.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to ‘depart’ for Dubai after passage of constitutional amendment

According to sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will travel to Dubai today following the approval of the constitutional amendment. The Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is expected to meet his sister, Bakhtawar Bhutto, during his visit.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will stay in Dubai for a few days, as per sources. His trip was previously delayed due to the ongoing work on the constitutional amendment.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif cancelled his scheduled visit to Samoa.

In a separate development, Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said the draft of constitutional package will be presented before the federal cabinet today (Sunday) for formal approval.

Talking to media in Islamabad, along with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, he said proposals of JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman have been incorporated in the draft.

The Law Minister said he apprised the Federal Cabinet about the threadbare discussion on the constitutional amendment. He said the stance of the allied parties was also presented in the cabinet meeting.

Yesterday, after a series of meetings at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad and delayed starts of the National Assembly and Senate sessions, the presentation of the constitutional amendments draft was deffered to Sunday (today).

Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence remained the centre of attention throughout Saturday as it was visited by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, heads of different political parties including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Balochistan National Party (Mengal) head Akhtar Mengal.

They way Bilawal has kept their bawls in his mouth will even make BB embarrassed in her grave, shameful this Bilawal is definitely not the representative of this generation.

Bilawal forms committee to raise grievances with Centre

As per details, the committee will comprise Raja Pervez Ashraf, Naveed Qamar, Sherry Rehman, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Makhdoom Ahmed Mahmoud, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Hyder, Governor Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Haider Gilani.

The committee will interact with the Federal government to raise the different issues and will submit its report to the meeting of Central Executive Committee (CEC) to be held next month.

The notification in this regard was issued from the Chairman’s Secretariat by his Political Secretary Jameel Soomro here on Wednesday.

Earlier today, People’s Party formally suggested election of the Public Accounts Committee’s (PAC) chairman by members until the matter decided.

PPP Senator Saleem Mandviwalla has written a letter to NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq and demanded holding a session of the PAC on a requisition of the committee’s members, parliamentary sources said.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Parliament has yet to decide about its most important public accounts committee.

The Public Accounts Committee’s 11 members have submitted a requisition for the PAC session

The PPP has hinted at calling the PAC session itself, if the committee’s meeting not being summoned formally.

Bilawal castigates KP govt's 'extremist politics, ignorance' of key responsibilities

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday slammed the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for practising “extremist politics” and ignoring its core responsibility of serving the people.

The ex-foreign minister's remarks came a day after the former ruling party boycotted the all-parties conference (APC), summoned by KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi over recent tribal clashes that claimed at least 133 lives and injured 186 others.

The Imran Khan-founded party was of the view: "The PPP has no mandate in KP [...] it wants to hold a lifeless exhibitory meeting to portray itself as a democratic party."

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Bilawal hailed PPP-backed Governor Kundi’s initiative aimed at “creating political consensus” and addressing difficulties faced by the people of KP.

“Dialogue between political forces is the most effective means to not only address political, economic and security challenges but forge the political consensus and stability required to achieve results.”

Castigating the firebrand Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur-led provincial government, the PPP chief said: “It is unfortunate that the government with executive authority & primary responsibility to address these issues have not even spent one day since they formed government doing what they are meant to. Sever the people of their province."

He added, “They have been busy practicing their extremist politics at the expense of the people of Pakhtunkhwa.”

Censuring the PTI’s decision to skip the APC, the PPP top leader said: “Despite having been invited, they refused to attend or contribute to this APC as well.”

He said that the people of KP deserved their problems to be addressed. The PPP chairman vowed to continue their fight for the real rights of the people of all provinces, including the KP, with or without the help of the provincial government in Peshawar.

It is pertinent to mention here that the PTI, on Wednesday, alleged that the PPP was "actively supporting" the Centre’s “nefarious agenda” of banning the PTI. It further alleged that the Bilawal-led party was also involved in "rounding up" its workers and supporters in Sindh.

Separately, PTI spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the decision to boycott the APC was taken over the PPP's "silence on massacre of unarmed and peaceful civilians" — referring to the party’s allegations of "straight firing" on protesters in Islamabad.

The PTI claimed that at least 12 of its supporters were killed when the law enforcers opened string fire on them during the “do-or-die” protest in Islamabad last month.

Get lost you gormless puppet. No one takes you seriously and no matter how much Rona you do, no one will ever accept you.

PML-N-led govt doesn’t have mandate to make unilateral decisions: Bilawal

He made these remarks while addressing a public gathering in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the 17th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari emphasized the need for consensus in decision-making, stating that the PML-N-led government lacks the mandate to make unilateral decisions.

Commenting on President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming aide, Richard Grenell’s statement on Imran Khan’s release, Bilawal said that PTI Founder is just an excuse, the real target is Pakistan’s nuclear programme. He has warned that the country’s nuclear and missile programs are under threat and alleged that certain elements are working to undermine Pakistan’s interests.

Bilawal Bhutto questioned if they were the same elements who had previously issued statements in support of Israel and other anti-Pakistan forces. He also wondered if they were opposed to Pakistan’s nuclear program and the missile program initiated by his mother, former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

The PPP chairman reiterated that his party would never allow any conspiracy against Pakistan’s interests to succeed. He vowed to resist any attempts to compromise the country’s sovereignty and security.

Bilawal paid tribute to his mother, highlighting her 30-year political struggle, which has become an integral part of history. He noted that Benazir never compromised on her ideology and was a champion of the vulnerable segments of society.

The PPP and its supporters across the country are observing Benazir’s death anniversary with great devotion and respect. A main congregation was held in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh, where President Asif Ali Zardari, central and provincial leaders, and other prominent figures addressed the gathering.

Notable attendees included Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, the first lady of Pakistan and central president of PPP’s Ladies Wing; Faryal Talpur, Asif’s sister and member of the provincial assembly; and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and other leaders were also present.

Billo you are disgrace. You have to own each and every decision made by these criminals because you too are a born criminal. The Junta that murdered your grandfather and mother waived a lollipop and you sucked it with great enthusiasm. There is no turning back.

But i do agree with him regarding the Nuclear and Missile Program. Aipac are pushing boundaries now for the establishment of Greater Israel. And they definitely see Pakistans Nuclear Program as a threat. Sooner or later, they will push this agenda.

Point taken, but the only way to safeguard Pakistan is by establishing a true democracy with the military operating under democratic principles. Otherwise, it’s only a matter of time before the existing emotional and psychological fault lines lead to physical divisions.

Agreed. But the Military Establishments 76 year grip is tight as ever. They have never seen the betterment of Pakistan, the lust for power and control has blinded them to a point where being Poodles to the global establishment is the only way.

Bilawal invited to Trump’s inauguration in US

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has been invited to US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on January 20, close aides said. They maintained that the PPP chief – invited in personal capacity – plans to participate in the event and is likely to depart for Washington this week. President Asif Ali Zardari – the PPP Co-Chairman - had previously attended the pre-inauguration oath ceremony of Trump in Washington, DC in 2017.

Following his victory in the November 5 presidential election, Trump will be sworn in as the 47th head of the state during the inauguration ceremony at the Capitol. Trump was declared winner in the 2024 US presidential election, claiming an “unprecedented and powerful mandate” while addressing supporters in Florida.

Planned by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, the inauguration begins with a procession to the Capitol. The Vice President reads his oath of office and is sworn in first. Later, the President reads his oath of office and is sworn in. Subsequently, the President gives an inaugural address, which usually outlines a President’s vision and goals for his term.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari warns against authoritarian governance

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chiarman Bilawal Bhutto Zaradari has addressed a gathering in Islamabad, warning that when rules act solely on their own whims, the entire system collapses.

He emphasized the current politics lacks focus on the public’s problem and advised the government to make decision in consultation with elected representatives.

Bilawal praised the PPP’s legacy of advocating for the workers’ right, highlighting that the party has provided foundational constitutional framework and organized labour right globally.

He recalled how former PM Benazir Bhutto’s unwavering support from workers was crucial in opposing authoritarian regimes.

He asserted that no system could function without the will of the people regardless of whether it is a president, prime, minister or monarch.

Bilawal concluded by stating that a disconnection between rulers and the populace eventually leads to systematic failure, citing historical examples of once-powerful figures who fell from grace.

Bilawal says will attend breakfast at Trump's invitation

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday confirmed that he was going to attend breakfast at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, in a personal capacity.

Bilawal said this in response to a query, asking him if it was true that he was invited to attend an event of the new US administration. He confirmed that he was going to attend the annual National Prayer Breakfast.

“As far as my US visit is concerned, this is completely true and this news was reported by media, but you should ask media about this news' origin.

“I will definitely go for breakfast, a practice that’s continued from my mother’s tenure. There’s a possibility of holding meetings with friends of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto there [as well].

Neither I’m a minister nor a government official so this [trip of mine] is not official or as a representative of the government,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that PPP Co-chairman and incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari had attended the pre-inauguration oath ceremony of then-US president-elect Trump in Washington, DC in 2017.

To a query, the PPP chief said his party was not going to become a part of the cabinet. To another query, he affirmed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will "Insha'Allah" complete the five-year term as the prime minister.

When asked that the new US administration invited foreign minister of India but not of Pakistan for Trump’s oath-taking ceremony, Bilawal, also the former foreign minister, said it was essential that a representative was invited from India as well after extending an invitation to the Chinese president, given the geopolitical situation between the US and China.

"Pakistan’s foreign policy is intact at its place. Pakistan’s nuclear assets and missile technology are gifts from Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto,” he said.

No one allowed to challenge writ of state: Bilawal Bhutto

PTI Founder remains in jail or not, it has nothing to do with Pakistan’s progress, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in an informal chat on the sidelines of the Munich security conference.

“The PTI’s Founder has a role if today’s young generation is frustrated,” Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto said.

He said that the military, parliament and judiciary all belong to Pakistan. “We will not allow anyone to challenge the writ of the state,” PPP leader added.

He said the democracy required generations to be strengthened and flourish, he said. “PTI’s founder has destroyed everything for his personal interest,” Bilawal alleged.

“Now, he has pinned hopes with Sharifs and other political parties,” PPP chairman said. “We are tackling various challenges,” he said.

He said the people from the whole world have gathered at the artificial intelligence moot ongoing in France. “We are not ready for the digital age, nor are we equipping our children and youth for this transformation,” he said. “We have to prepare our children, youth and the economy for the modern age”.

“We have faced challenges before, and we have successfully tackled terrorism in the past. We will not allow anyone to challenge the authority of the state,” he asserted.

Bilawal also emphasised the need for technological advancement and digital transformation, expressing concern that Pakistan is not adequately preparing its youth for the IT and digital era.

As he sold his soul to these guys, he is now stuck. As soon as the PPP made some rumblings, NAB suddenly asked for more information on spending by PPP politicians in Sindh.🤣🤣🤣
