I think I had a similar dilemma, a few months ago when I decided to visit Pakistan after a lengthy gap. During my absence my NICOP had expired and there was no time to get a new one issued before my flight. I was a little worried if that would be a problem but it turns out if you have a Pak passport you should be fine .

I am not entirely sure but I think you need either a valid NICOP or a valid Pak passport. Your best bet might be to call the Pak consulate wherever you are to confirm all this!
Correct, I believe as British Citizens, you would both require a Visa/NICOP.
