ya they will have to keep it tight, and get gayle out early, if he gets goin then 192 wont be a problem for west indies. lets see wat happens, good luck ppl peace.
 
at one point we looked like getting 250+ but gayle bowled well and took 3 key wickets. also their fielding was excelent almost every time whenever they had a chance of a run out they hit the stumps now its over to our bowlers to show what they have got
 
Caught sleeping but that what you get if you dont want to play warm up matches and ratger go and play masalla mathes.
 
very rusty and poor batting performance all around!

Pak will have to really pull their socks up to come back in this 3-match ODI series.

you never no, it might turn out to be a great thriller wich pakistan win at the end. Why must the pakistani fans always be negative!!!!!!! :(( :((
 
3 runouts. Absoloutely pathetic!!!

Why did razzaq started going for big hits when he knew only 2 wickets were left and around 6/7 overs were left. And what about our solid middle order where was that today????????

kya khoobsurat total hai

the WI did nothing amazing except that catch by gayle...fielding was tight, but this was just one sorry performance...

disappointed by the shots played esp. by kami, razzaq and malik...

afridi...quite a weird run out...unlucky!

I wudn't be too upset if we lose this, but that better mean we work our butts off to win the next two!
 
The Windies can get 192 in singles. They don't need to take any risks.

You have to remember, its not going to be easy to score for the West Indies either. The outfield is probably the slowest i've ever seen. Like Pakistan, WI dont like making singles either. It's going to be a test of temprement.

Key wickets are Sarwan and Chandarpaul, who wont be too fussed about making singles. Gayle will do what most Pakistani's did, throw his wicket away in frustration.

Also shows the importance of an in-form Moin Khan in the lower middle order.
 
The ones who are counting Pakistan out did they actually see the game, the wicket is very tough to bat on, the ball doesnt come onto the bat and aids both the seamers and the spinners. Barring Shabir I am confident that all the Pakistani bowlers will bowl well in this match.

Can't vouch for everyone, but i certainly sat through Pak's batting

I agree, it didnt look easy to bat on. We just need to keep it tight. Most important factor is going to be how the spinners are utilised. If we use them as stock bowlers and allow easy singles then im afraid this game is all but over for Pakistan.

pakistan can win this game... if they bowl well, catch well and stick 2 the basics!

west indies bowled with superb control early on. i just hope we dont get the usually beeray, rana NO BALLS!

having said that, please do name some batsmen other than maybe kamran akmal that got out to a good ball / nasty pitch rather than just lazy cricket ?
definately not a fast outfield and it is a difficult track, but we shot ourselves out of this game with poor shot selection, and its going to be difficult to get back in this game.
 
Who thinks shabbir ahmed shud hve been given the new ball other then rao? To me rao and rana are the same sorta bowlers, who rely on swing. So i think if shabbir was given the new ball, thr wuda been more variety in the bowling, and harder for the batsmen. Thr is bounce in the pitch, and shabbirs height will be a plus point.
 
A rather disappointing effort from our batsmen. WI did keep it tight but we faltered in doing the basics right. Malik and Inzi played rather rash strokes. Afridi, Youhana and YK simply unlucky.

its not fixed man, not these games, if anytin was fixed , it was proably the india pak series.
 
C'mon 50 runs off 20 overs!!! With WI batting! yeah right gimme a break phuleeeeeeeeeez :)

I just hope the result is not fixed only the totals are...

For those that don't know much about betting:

Every ODI game has a total score line given by the bookies... and people can bet "over" or "under" against that scoreline.
For example a typical scoreline for Pak Vs. WI would be perhaps around 450 runs.

Now if a bookie knows the game is fixed... he would give you a very tempting scoreline... such as 420 runs....Would you bet "under" if a Bookie gave you a line of 420 runs in a Pak vs. WI game???? I don't think so...

And that is how Bookies make money.
 
Pakistan shud have batted 50 ovrs the runs they cud have scored in those un played 5.3 ovrs cud ahve been handy now
