Do they have no other match to show besides Edgbaston 2005? I'm getting sick of it now.

It was a classic match, but they could show other matches of the series as well. They have shown Edgbaston about three times now.

Edgbaston 2005 was a superb match but it is just stupid to show it over and over again. Why not show a Pak/Eng match from the last series?

OK this is ridiculous....There is blue sky above my house but it has started raining again...How can that happen?

Must be saalaay motaay Inzi's fault...he cannot even show enough aggression to control the weather. Pathetic, if Youni was in charge:

Sun would be shinning, we would have alredy won in one day, and right now he would have given million dollars to all his fans...can't wait for the million dollars (soon) :|

Inzi top edges Harmison for 4.

Play has started again btw.

:))) :)))

Driven through the offside for a single, Inzi retains strike

Inzi really concentrating hard, he wants to get a big one here.

Inzi looking a little apprehensive - I guess e've been spoiled by MoYo's masterclasses this series.

Oxy, Inzi just started his innings. Didn't Moyo also offer two chances early on?

Thats a good shot but straight to the fielder.

In the last year, Inzi has come out 'all guns blazing' from the word go - hopefully he wont get bogged down at the start.

Superb shot down the ground - absolute class Inzi

Now Inzi hooks Harmison away for 4.

Well played, sir.

Good over for Inzi - eye is in and the middle of the bat has been discovered (as well as the thud of the boundary boards!)

364-3

Mohammad Yousaf,s elegant stroke play reminds me of Zaheer Abbaas.

Its all about timing.

So Pak thinking of a quick 250+ lead here, then asking England to bat - given the state of the weather, that may not be a bad idea ?

Players going of for a slightly early Lunch, raining harder now. :(

Umpires confer - off the go. English summer:)

Thats why the football season has just kicked off today!!!

That should be the plan, I would think.

And now its stopped again.

We have lots of wickets in hand, So after lunch Pak should go balistic and try to muster as many runs as they can. Then put England in and bowl them out

Gone for lunch... Is it just me or does Inzy look a little nervy..few deliveries he played from harami and hoggard he looked out of touh and late..

Mec, his 27 included 5 lovely boundaries. Every batsman is a bit edgy at the start of an innings.

This kind of situation is where Afridi comes so handy.

Just as well - just come back from holidays - switch on the TV and it says that FoxSports ( showing this series in Bahrain) is scrambled !!! Sooo angry ! and there's Merc telling us about the new technologies where you can watch it on your mobile and I cant even get it on the bloomin' TV !!!

Trying to call these guys but its "lunch" ( ie 1:00pm - 4:00pm)

And Mec - plse dont refer to him as harami :) Thanks.

That happened for about 15 minutes yesterday as well. Also, the screen keeps breaking up, the coverage is nothing short of pathetic.

How was your vacation, waisay?

I know a batter is edgy at start of innings and that wasnt my point..he looks edgy perhaps due to not having performed in previous matches excepting lords. The pull off harmi was anything but lovely.

And mig , it was just light hearted ..'harami'..seen it quite a few times right here on PP especially in commentry threads which get binned anyway.. wasnt being malicious.

no problem - I realized that after I wrote my message. I suppose, it just had to be said but as long as you understand.

Easa - holidays were good - unfortunately, I chose the time when the "real" English summer arrived !

Inzi should stop being selfish and start going for a few shots after the break. All the batsmen should hit out and bat around our premier batsman Yousuf.

Your hatred for Inzi is pretty pathetic to say the least.

Yep I think a quick 70-80 odd runs after the break and put England in!

inzy was probaby playing for luch as he knew it was only like 20 minutes away...i m sure he will start hitting after lunch..hope the rain stops Inshallah

Glad to say that FoxSports is back on air for us - just as they have taken lunch ! typical Rupert Murdoch at work here !

Inzi and co will need to play aggresively after lunch if they want to enforce a result. Time lost due to rain can ruin our chances of winning this match and I'm sure they know it.

Been out all morning in Scumsall what happened as far as the rain is concerned?

Why not declare now ? given the condition of the weather, we cant take chances and we need to be able to bowl more overs at England - thats the last thing England want now ?

Dont think there is any point waiting for tea - a 200 lead is good enough to exert pressure on England - no point playing for safety now

We can't because if inzi gets past 40....he'll try and grind his way to a 100.

Infact, why not try some ambush tactics here - bat for one over after lunch and then suddenly declare - England openers/team will not be expecting this - could catcth them off guard here

Waisay given whats happened with our batting so far in the series ( a few innings being the exception), I would be inclined to agree with you but lets be optimistic/positive here !

Durban 2004/05 v South Africa is ought worth having a look at.

well 200 lead will mean we will have to chace some kind of target

don't think England will fail again under 200

we need 300 at the least guys before declaration!! We dont want to be making more than 150 in the last innings. I think Inzy will try to get to a 50 before he hits out.. he needs a confidence booster.

MIG, I agree with your line of thinking. Maybe not one over, but they should set themselves a target in terms of overs. i.e. 10 overs - let rip! 80 runs or so should give us a lead of 275. If that aint enough, then we don't deserve to win.

England dont want to be here ( in Oval ) - its clear from the comments from Fletcher/Botham/Nasser etc - Pak have to play that to our advantage - put them into bat as soon possible - let them grind it out. If this was Australia, I would think twice about declaring but "body speak" from England tells us that they just want the to end this series - surely nothing can be gained from an extra 50-60 runs ? The real damage was done by the 173 AO in the first innings
