Pakistan’s batting struggles persist as they finish Day 2 of the second Test at 76/4 in pursuit of 254 against the West Indies

This chase will depend on Babar and Legside Rizwan. Legside will need to stay till the end to see Pakistan through.
Actually it's dependant on Shan masood. As bad as he normally is, he's the one player who can score well vs spin when chasing

Shan is a phattu captain, slightest pressure and he spreads the field allowing easy singles to the opposition even when the pitch has something for the bowlers.

if nomi can play till 38
why can't shan
:ishant
LOL... Shan can play till 40s I don't mind but he has to be doing more than what he is doing atm... Cannot be having a dead weight in the team just because he speaks good english and scores a century only when he is about to get kicked out of the team.

That is like 5th gift from West Indies. Don't think they want to win this test. This is not enough to win the test. They need bare minimum 200

Westindies batsman with another brainfade when things were going little bit easy .

Six down and end is near.

Abbas would have been a handful on these pitches. Whose make these decisions.
Shan lamented lack of pace and then plays Kashif Ali, whose bowling similar speeds anyway

Lead is now exactly one more than what Pakistan managed in the first inning

I dont know what the problem is i said we wont beat windies at home and that what it will be

Shan needs to be aggressively grilled by higher, yet another display of cowardly phattu captaincy under pressure.

I think the Windies have a winning total already, not a chance we chase this down, let alone the 200+ they will end up with

Dumb Shaan will still not bring a pacer. WI have destroyed our spinners with sweep shots and footwork

These easy singles want to make me pull my hair out.

More than skilled players, Pakistan will start winning a lot more games when they have a captain who competently makes the right decision at the right time when it comes to bowling changes, field placements.

Having skilled players is pointless when your captain incompetently makes the wrong decisions with the bowling changes and field placements at the most vital moments of the game.

Shan has only one plan , Noman and Sajid if WI batsmen remain in shell, he goes missing the moment WI counter

A tough pill for Shan advocates

this pitch is certainly not as spicy as the 1 in previous game ... 191/6 & the combined batting avg of last 3 [ to come ] is 50 !

I agree Shan has got to go. But guess what, he may end up scoring a 60+ in a successful run chase here. He does about enough every damn series to not get dropped from the next one.

This match is disgracefully lost. Shan needs to be brutally kicked out from the captaincy on his behind after this match.

Shan ' s record just for the record

P 11 W 3 L 8 , worst than Vettori Sachin and Lara as skipper what if he ends up on losing this

The total is out of reach. Pakistani batters are too mentally weak to chase this. WI spinners will bowl at the perfect pace and will target the stumps. Roach will make his 300 plus wickets count. Pakistan has a weak tail as well.

I don't see Pakistan winning this from here.

Quite impressed with the effort by the WI kids on a rank turner, I thought they would be bowled out for under a 100...

WI surprised big time with their sweep shots, running bw the wickets. Shaans phattu defensive spreading out the field captaincy helped them big time as well.

Yes you are right, surprised how well they played the sweep shot...

Haven't seen a ball bowled in this Test but watching the score on cricinfo occasionally. I am thinking of 2 scenarioes here;

1) The pitch might have eased out or
2) Every team, apart from our rubbish team, is quick learner and adapt to the new condions quickly. If this is the case credit goes to the Windies boys.

Naw it hasn't eased up at all. As @Amjid Javed said, this pitch isn't as difficult as the 1st Test.

Just rubbish batting from both wi and pakistan in the 1st innings.

Although wi has batted well and if they get 300 then 0% chance of pakistan chasing it down. Already a 214 lead looks out of reach.

This is probably Kashif's first and only Test match.

Bowls at medium 129-130KPH. Even M Abbas is a few clicks quicker than him.
