Saffers were getting smashed in India before this. I think they are very well suited to Perth, Gabba, MCG type pitches but will fall short at other venues.

SA bowled at full pace on this docile wicket lol Balls were just sitting up. THey totally bottled it. Why no Maharaja at the sCG? very poor selection by them.

Kishan massacred Nortje. Ngidi went for like 51 runs in 3 overs right before the world T20. They had Perth advantage.

Bottler Rauf conceded a needless boundary on the last ball. Would be hilarious if these 4 runs prove decisive for the NRR.

They will go into hiding. They got a bad beating from the same team, and we have our own, many of them who wrote off Pakistan. Kept saying you never know with Pakistan and I had all the confidence that they will ROLL OVER South Africa, and that's exactly what they have done.

Sa was so fearful against us, during the India game they had a 3rd man and fine leg and no one at long on ir off. Against us they were forced to get a long on and long off with 3rd man and fine in

This was kind of expected given that match will happen at the SCG. All the SA bowlers were thrashed black and blue in India prior to this series on surfaces similar to SCG. Not having Miller will only make the matter worse for SA. Their bowling was more suitable at Perth
 
DLS saved South Africa or else it could have been a much much heavier phainty. Most convincing victory between the two top sides in this WC and this is how you do it! Congrats Pakistan

Lol just let it rest. Its Sydney, its Dubai, its this and that and not Perth or whatnot. Pakistan has just showed this is how you beat a top side!
 
Don't think SA's NRR took a big hit. It is still better. But anyway NRR doesn't matter anymore given the standings.

Difference is Indian batters are very good compare to Paksitan worse ever batting line up, especially with Babar not firing at all.

Kohli makes the unplayable look playable. This is why he is the GOAT. No one would have hit that first six off Rauf except him.

He would have found a way against Wasim too and more importantly, Wasim would have lost his composure. Kohli has that effect on the bowlers, his reputation does a lot of damage too.

Kohli at his peak failed in biggest pak v ind match in 17 aamir got him out twice in 2 balls.

Viv richards would have never been bullied twice in 2 balls.

And mitchell johnson did to him in 2015 semi final sydney. GOAT is a bit too much word to use.

Viv Richards played a horrible hack shot in the 1983 final that cost his team the World Cup and put Indian cricket on the map.

Even the GOATs fail, but they are cable of stuff others cannot dream of.

Kohli, Viv and Tendulkar are the three GOATs of the last 50-60 years.

In spite of “fading away”, he is still leagues above Babar who is supposedly in the prime of his career. Don’t even dare to compare the two.
 
Shadab Khan | Player of the Match: I have played (batted) like this in PSL, but this is a World Cup match, so it's my best innings. The pitch was a bit slower compared to Perth. I tried to bowl at the stumps, and it paid off. I like to bat up the order, but it depends on the situation and what the team requires, so I am ready to bat anywhere.

Bavuma: Quite disappointing the way we ended our bowling session. Getting them 5 down quickly and allowing them to get to a formidable score. Lots of questions we need to ask. Credit to them. We knew that weather was going to be a bit of an issue. I'm no bowler but the bowlers do practice for these conditions. Wicket was sliding on, slower balls weren't gripping. We probably could've used the bigger side a bit more. Next game is obviously a big one for us against Netherlands in Adelaide. Have to put this one behind quickly, take whatever learnings we can.

Azam: Very happy the way team performed. We are not upto the mark - me and Rizwan. But the way Haris played - different player - set the momentum. And the way Shadab finished the innings - outstanding. To be honest, everyone is my best player. Everyone is my match-winner. First two losses cost us. But the way we have played last two matches. As you know cricket is funny game. You never know.

Congratulations to Pakistan. They are just unlucky in this tournament. Could have gone the two previous matches to their favour.

India was also going to eat Bangladesh alive and next thing you know they were limping towards victory and had narrow escape again on the last ball. Bangladesh gift wrapped it for India with their batting collapse. India is quite an average team and narrow win luck and umpire support can only go limited distance ;)
