It’s in our best interest for Imam to play PSL. Is an opportunity for him to work on his SR in a still high pressure scenario. Though you can’t force PSL teams to pick him.

i have said all along it is always our bowling which has saved us. I mean how do we get to so called world no 1 team without ever beating England..Australia...South Africa..Newzealand and even India is beyond me.

Fakhar was immense initially because he had that novelty factor which wore thin as time passed by as is the case with most Pakistani players.

Imam on the other hand started slow but has worked on his game and improved immeasurably. No wonder he's the one who has had the better stats.

Having said that, Pakistan unfortunately still doesn't have an opener that can replace either Fakhar or Imam. So these two should be your openers going to the World Cup.

Why is everyone critiquing imam? The guy who won man of the series against afghanistan, Has an average of 55 and a strike rate of 86 since the last 2 years which is single handedly better then any Opener in world cricket with the exception of Gill who regressed since the WI series.

Makes zero sense.

Imam only has one issue, he lacks a 4th gear to finish the innings and take that 80 to 100 like others do, but he's far more consistent then them.

He genuinely plays faster then falhar till the 25th and then falhar or babar accelerate faster.

I've been here long enough to see how this ends. The humble pie will come when Pakistan is knocked out of the WC this year in embarrassing fashion. You won't be able to take the heat and will end up leaving the forum. It's the same story as always from the green tinted hype brigade. Always obsessed about mediocrity until you get brought down to Earth.

Imam is a Misbah product. If you knew that from the beginning you'd understand but at least you can acknowledge that we experienced dark days indeed during the Misbah era.

The misbah product involves ahmed shezad either getting out or scoring his precious 50 of 88 balls.

Asad shafiq basically scoring at a 65 strike rate and getting out at 11 of 35 usually etc etc..

Imam plays faster then fakhar. Only tine he ever played slow was during the 1st odi against afghanistan and that's because the pitch was so bad afg got bowled out at 59.

No player had a strike rate > 80 in the misbah era besides umar and shahid afridi. The irony is that imam strike rate is exactly the same as umar akmals lol.

Fakhar's poor performance cost us last Asia Cup and most likely this one. This guy was never free flowing batsman without 3-4 lucks.
 
Every person here is either way too judgmental, or just doesn't understand odi altogether. You all should relax and watch the sport honestly. Trust in your team rather then bashing them non stop.
