People hate on Imam because he's not a flashy batsman, gets his runs the boring way, fine with me as long as he gets them. His haters can't stand that.

Poor too many Dots. Even Imam showing the difference in class. Effortlessly rotating strike at his end. Rizwan then dots the rest of the over

He’s the perfect batsman for tricky scores and he puts a price on his wicket , however the issue with Imam is that he doesn’t not have that next gear, this is what makes him a good batsman but not elite

That's what I've been advocating. He's not gonna be an ATG but this man is defo retiring with 30 + international centuries under his belt.

He will try to speed it up ater his fifty lets see ..... we need around 80 from him and the match is in the bag.
 
No4 is supposed to be your domineering batsman. We have Rizwan batting like a tailender

For a guy thats not a boundry hitter, but still has a strike rate of 86, just tells you how good of shape he's in with all the running he does, I can always count on Imam to hold one end and he's proven he can do it. He's also a great fielder. what else do we want from him to prove.
 
shakib not on yet becuase he is tentative to bowl to the left hander?
 
Rizwan playing perfectly, I do not know what game some posters are watching. There is no need to throw away wickets against good bowlers.

That's one of Imam's best shot. Inside out for six.

Whatever Imam's limitations he's ideal for these situations where we just need a calm head to get us home.
 
As expected, Pakistan are winning comfortably.

Glad I wasn't up to watch this borefest.
 
Pakistan should try to win quickly. Can give them a big NRR boost.

NRR can be decisive over the next few days.
 
When was the last time Imam scored a 100? may not have enough runs in this match.
 
I thought the next stage would have been a semi final , and then final . So this super 4 is everyone facing each other and then top two in final ? I don’t mind it as I like 50 over tournaments , series , tri series etc

But it does seem a little unnecessary
 
Commentators curse Waqar just said a ball before that he's going for his 100 and next ball he's clean bowled.

Yeah two group stages basically.

Personally I'd try all six teams in one group round robin format.

Top team progresses to final; 2nd vs 3rd face off in an eliminator; final. Done.

Naw he was defo trying to get to his 100 lol, that's why he was accelerating and trying his best to do it on boundaries as 22 to get when 35 runs is on the board would be difficult in singles.

Imam doesn't slog ever lol, he was playing uncharacteristically to get to his 100 and rizwan to his 50.

Imam was still playing for his 100. But I don't think he's a selfish player by any means.

Defo the best Opener for Pakistan in the last 2 decades.
