A below par total it appears but Pakistan bowling with SSA should be able to defend this.

Agha Salman could have a major role here with the ball. The pitch is slow, and rather than bowling out the Pacers, a few tidy overs from Agha could tilt the match in Pakistan's favour.

Stroke making won't be easy. Leg side hackers as Rizwan could not get it going for that reason - also he had to make his precious 50. I am sure, if NZ concentrated on singles while ball did not spin, they can win quite comfortably. First, NZ wil have to careful early when ball will swing I am sure. They get thru the early phase, then they would hope for due to kill the spin.

I wonder if reverse would be possible for due later in the inning

where are people now who were saying this is not a flat wicket...should have got easily 330 on this

Trash bowling . 3 boundaries down the leg.. who says this bowling line is dangerous? May be in t20 but in odi you need wicket takers

Ground is literally empty.. its time PCB stop giving karachi these many matches.. people of Karachi look disinterested.. it was house full in every match at Lahore and Pindi

As I thought earlier, NZ got thru the tough phase. The indiscipline in Pak fast bowling later has made the job easier. Now, only spinners can help if no dew. Otherwise, game over for Pak

T Blundell is one of the best Keeper+Bats in the world

People who say we have world beating top order are delusional.. we have quickly forgotten how England C team smashed us 3-0 in 2021 with same set of players.. we were lucky to win Australian ODI series of 3 matches.. our top order wont get pindi pitch in wc to stat pad

Shabash NZ. keep milking the singles and show stat padders how it is done!

No but No....the pitch is very slow and veryyy hard to score i believe according to some stats people here...

When was the last time Nawaz made any impact on a game be it with bat or ball.

Weak links are Shadab and Nawaz. I still can't believe Nawaz is still in the squad, he is a certified TTF. Why is Wasim still getting picked? He is borderline TTF.

Against India during the Asia Cup.

I was just about to say apart from that one innings against India lol . This Nawaz looks like he’s just there to make the numbers , he’s never been that player where your like “oh yes Nawaz is here , he will do something here”

Lucky wicket for Pakistan . Need this for something to happen and make a comeback into the contest.

Can someone from Karachi explain why the crowds are so dead in Karachi ? Karachi people not as interested in cricket anymore ? Not that patriotic? Just too busy ?

Because of difficult access to the ground...
Parking is too far
Pathetic stands
Zero facilities at ground
Very expensive food items

How old are you? I know, the question is as absurd as your query!

Fazzy321 - you asked if there is any batsman in the world that strikes at 100+ strike rate in ODIs

Eng:
Jason Roy: 106
Bairstow: 104

Both play as openers. I am only asking for one such player lol

India:
Pant: 125
Hardik: 112

Aus:
Maxwell: 125

These are few top of mind from top teams. So, yeah, it's not an unusual thing to strike at 100+... its kind of obvious given 300+ totals are commonplace now.

Lacklustre effort from M Wasim so far.

Smashed to all parts.

Mohammad Wasim only looks good when he bowls full while ball is reversing. Otherwise, he looks very mediocre if not his day. Salman Agha - I have no idea whether he is a bowler or a bat. I know that he is playing as an alrounder, but his batting does not look impressive at all. I have yet to see him bowling.

I meant in top order but if you are talking about everything then we have Imad Wasim at 110 with good sample

No offence my friend , although I should have worded my question differently. There is for example in uk - Liverpool people are known to not support England football team as passionately as they would their local club Liverpool fc or Everton . They of course still support England as of course Karachi people do Pakistan.

Thank you for a matured reply! I am glad you did not take it as a rude comment from me!

Thanks to spinners and and fielding, the game is is well balanced and set for an entertaining finish if helped by fast bowlers

People in Karachi are poor and can't afford the tickets. Lahore and Pindi folk have more money than them.

Administrators needs to sort this out !! Old touring teams would always mention the passionate crowds etc this is not a good look.

I don’t completely buy that. I understand life in Karachi may be harder for the average worker. But Karachi also has a huge middle/upper class, no?

Lol where did you get that from 🤣🤣.Karachi is literally the business hub of the country with more than 30 million people so 30000 people buying tickets is not an issue, its just that they dont have the willingness to do so.

Its a stupid statement. Most of the corporate head offices are located in karachi which leads to more jobs in karachi and infact a lot of people migrate to karachi to look for jobs.
