They don't have the batting fire power to take them all the way280 under lights here is winning . 192 for FOUR -14 overs left
Again, as I said, people like you don’t have a clue. It was a top innings under the circumstances - Pakistan lost two early wickets and he had to rebuild along with Rizwan. On a pitch like this it was a selfish knock
It looks now because they posted a large partnership- it wasn’t that rosey at 2 down for 50 odd.On a pitch like this it was a selfish knock
Yeah I think after the drop he was pretty goodRizzu batted well? Probs his 2nd best innings after wc 131.
Yup! Very good innings from both Babar and Rizwan. The rest need to step up nowAgain, as I said, people like you don’t have a clue. It was a top innings under the circumstances - Pakistan lost two early wickets and he had to rebuild along with Rizwan.
Their partnership is the reason why Pakistan is now in a position where it can push on and look to score around 300 which will be a very competitive total.
Repeat aim for 280 !!!280 under lights here is winning . 192 for FOUR -14 overs left
If you expect the lower order to post 300+Again, as I said, people like you don’t have a clue. It was a top innings under the circumstances - Pakistan lost two early wickets and he had to rebuild along with Rizwan.

Correct...rather have someone from lower middle order establish themselves like Saim in these bilateral series before the Champions Trophy than have Babar and Riz hog the batting all wayNow let's see what the middle-lower can get.
We are not followersSo basically we have accumulators batting at death???????
Pitch is two paced. Saim played exactly same inning in first ODI.Good batting but if your going to eat so many overs you need to be play strike rate of 100+
Cricket is not a 1 dimensional sport. This game is not in Multan. You need to understand context. This is a pacy pitch and collapse always round the corner80 (82) in the end for rizzu, looks good on paper, but doesn't show how slow he was to start
Outfield is super fastPitch is two paced. Saim played exactly same inning in first ODI.
Give the context, it was good innings.
ODI numbers have changed - most of the stats are diluted between 200 & 300 per era. For example, last game, once 200 was match winning on that track.280 under lights here is winning . 192 for FOUR -14 overs left
If the middle and lower-order cannot capitalize on this platform provided by Rizwan and Babar, their IQ would be on par with yours. If you expect the lower order to post 300+
That's say all about your IQ
Only options left are KG and Salman
We will be short due to rizwan and babar eating balls
Honestly from what I've seen, the chances of them making back to a run a ball after a slow start is pretty minimal so glad he managed to get there in the end. In the end it was a pretty good knockHard to believe Rizwan is nearly run a ball now considering how he started. It was quite detestable for a while but good to see Rizwan make up for it and getting quite a few boundaries.
Slightly two paced. Not much wrong with the pitch but ball can do things in cape town under lightsCricket is not a 1 dimensional sport. This game is not in Multan. You need to understand context. This is a pacy pitch and collapse always round the corner
See you in second innings. Very pathetic innings from babarAgain, as I said, people like you don’t have a clue. It was a top innings under the circumstances - Pakistan lost two early wickets and he had to rebuild along with Rizwan.

Not fair if babar and rizwan had the luxury to play at 60 strike rate and incoming batmens have to go 120+ from ball one to get too 300+Their partnership can only be judged once SA bats.
But the base is somewhat set and the other batsmen need to do their job too.
South Africa is known for super fast outfieldsOutfield is super fast

Platform would be great if it was provided by the 30th overIf the middle and lower-order cannot capitalize on this platform provided by Rizwan and Babar, their IQ would be on par with yours.
These two cannot bat for everyone in the team. They did their job and now it is up to the rest to do their job.
They provide themselves a platform first by going at 3 an over for 10 oversPlatform would be great if it was provided by the 30th over
His face is cherubic. Looks 15. He has the basics. But he has to master bowling sequence that is required to get wickets. At this point bit erraticLove this Maphaka
He looks like a proper banter guy with his expressions

These scenarios have not come up they have been created by babar and rizwans slow battingDefinitely not ideal but they need to be able to put up 90-100 off 13 overs with six wickets.
These scenarios will come up in the CT too.
He will be replaced by Maharaj at the next available opportunityAre they seriously considering Phelu for CT squad? He will be massacred by the likes of Harry Brook, Glen Philips, Jos Inglis.
It’s relative. In general, Rizwan starts slow which is a problem. Overall, there is a problem in Pakistani batting mentality and skill sets. But specifically today in these conditions, Rizwan’s start wasn’t a problem.I honestly think we make it hard for ourselves. If Riz wasnt dropped when he was 30 (50) it would have exposed that he is a terrible starter.
I generally think that Pak are a decade behind in the sport because we don't take the game head-on. Babar-Riz are just symptomatic of that. They take time to get themselves in, and then accelerate after they get their 50's. You cannot win touraments with that mentality anymore
Yea.. They better. As it is they don't have the ingredients to win ODIs in subcontinent. Adding Phelu will prove to be a disaster. He will be replaced by Maharaj at the next available opportunity
Still have nightmares about that chase. Shoaib's cameo was entertaining though.Who remembers this game here: https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...d-vs-pakistan-23rd-match-65255/full-scorecard
It’s not about “two paced”. The pitch has pace in it, which is kryptonite for our batters.Slightly two paced. Not much wrong with the pitch but ball can do things in cape town under lights
I repeat 400 plus wicket we lost the match when we lost toss and batted firstPitch looks better
