Pakistan (329) defeat South Africa (248) by 81 runs to clinch the 3-match ODI series by an unassailable lead of 2-0

Pity to see Pakistan's style hasn't changed much since the early 2000's. Reminds me of the days when we would be targeting around 200 by the 40th over with wickets in hand and try and end up somewhere at 275.

If you expect the lower order to post 300+

That's say all about your IQ

Only options left are KG and Salman

We will be short due to rizwan and babar eating balls
Or we will get close due to Babar and Rizwan laying good platform and winning the momentum for Pakistan. Excellent position for 3 capable batsmen to launch.

Honestly from what I've seen, the chances of them making back to a run a ball after a slow start is pretty minimal so glad he managed to get there in the end. In the end it was a pretty good knock
wow its a chrismas miracle

You know this is a road when salman and kg are smashing boundries for fun while @Mamoon making it out to be a difficult pitch where rizwan and babar actually done something when infact they just ate all the balls

It could have been a great catch, but it was a brilliant effort from Temba Bavuma

If the middle and lower-order cannot capitalize on this platform provided by Rizwan and Babar, their IQ would be on par with yours.

These two cannot bat for everyone in the team. They did their job and now it is up to the rest to do their job.
Absolutely! Those of us who’ve watched Pakistan bat in South Africa over the decades know just how fortunate we are to have Babar and Rizwan in the ODI setup. Some people here seem clueless about the kind of humiliation we used to endure on past tours.

Or we could have won if others were given time to settle in and play proper innings rather than coming in and going all out because rizwan and babar ate all the balls

I would rather go for a win than laying good platform and going close

Babar and Rizwan were making this look like a 230 wicket

Bruv it’s 100% a 350 wicket
I'm aware, but if Pakistan wins this game then they've done their job.

If Pakistan lose , then they'll be held accountable

So so so typical Babar & Rizwan have sucked the life out of the innings today, but I bet their worshipers will do a bhangra over soft non-Rabada runs. Chaloh Eid Mubarak yaroooh.

Shaun Pollock "This is the kind of batting we should have seen from Rizwan and Babar earlier on"

Glad that being mistakenly played and failing in T20s hasn’t shaken Agha’s confidence. I’m interested to see how he goes in the test tour. While he didn’t look entirely comfortable against pace/bounce in Australia he still managed to get some runs

You speak as if there are world beating batsmen waiting in the bench or in the country. Learn to accept the level of talent that is available.

i actaully think he has what it takes to do well in T20. Had a decent PSL, and i think with time he'll come good with his sr
From whatever i have watched him , he needs some balls to gets going so completely fine for odi but not for T20 .

Based on what? A few crisp strokes?
The last 5 ODIs here including SA, India and England didn’t cross 300.
Last time 300+ was scored by India, 303 in 2018.
Agreed. 280 will be a good total here. Also, in D/N games, highest successful chase here is 258 and only 9 out of 33 D/N games have been won by chasing side.

PAK would have bowled very poorly to lose this.

I have a question on what criteria did irfan get to play for pakistan as he hasnt even done anything domestically
