Pakistan ‘Agrees’ To Remove Check Posts On Afghan Soil

The Pakistani delegation has asked Afghanistan to release three Pakistani soldiers who were arrested on Sunday.
Afghan and Pakistani military official held talks for the second time in just a few days to discuss “incursions by Pakistan” against Afghanistan along the Durand Line.
Clashes erupted between Afghan border forces and Pakistani military in Khost and neighboring Paktia provinces earlier this week.
At Wednesday’s meeting, which was held in Dand-e-Patan district in Paktia, Afghan officials said Pakistani authorities admitted that they have built “structures” on Afghanistan’s soil.
Officials also raised the issue of Pakistan misleading the public by reportedly saying the Afghan security forces along the border are being backed by Indian troops.
“Your intelligence is promoting wrong propaganda against us (Afghan government forces) and saying that Indian forces are with Afghan border forces. This is not good,” said Colonel Mohammad Osman Janbaz, the commander of the army’s 2nd battalion in Paktia.
At this meeting, Afghan officials asked Pakistani military authorities to remove the structures built on Afghanistan soil.
“You have built a number of outposts on Afghanistan’s soil. Let’s visit the outposts closely and take them back,” Lieutenant Colonel Fraidoon Faiza, executive officer of the 2nd border division said.
The Pakistani delegation meanwhile promised to remove the structures in Afghanistan territory.
“We will not claim even one inch of your territory. We respect our soil as much as you respect yours. We will sit and meet once again,” said Brigadier Akhtar, the head of the Pakistani military delegation.
Paktia governor Shamim Katawazi assured Pakistan’s delegation that Afghanistan’s soil will never be used against the neighboring country.
“We do not have any problem with those living on the other side of the Durand Line. They are our own people. There is no need to call for the help of Indian military forces. We have enough forces. This is untrue propaganda by Pakistan’s military,” he said.
The Pakistani delegation meanwhile asked the Afghan authorities to return Pakistani soldiers who were arrested by Afghan forces in Zazai Maidan district in Khost three days ago.
The arrests were made after a clash broke out in the Zazai Maidan district, in Khost, which borders Parachinar district in Kurram Agency in Pakistan, on Sunday.
Clashes between Khost residents and Pakistani military personnel broke out in Zazai Maidan district when Pakistani troops tried to take control of an Afghan check post.
According to reports, at least three Pakistani soldiers were killed during the skirmish and three others were arrested by the Afghan security forces. Pakistan has asked for the return of their nationals.
This clash had been preceded by another, on Saturday, in nearby Dand-e-Patan, in Paktia, which also borders Parachinar district.

Nothing new, last I heard we have fired 5000 missiles into Kunar since the last three months. Since then Pakistan has been at peace ever since we put Afghans in their place.

Long may it continue.

“We will not claim even one inch of your territory. We respect our soil as much as you respect yours. We will sit and meet once again,” said Brigadier Akhtar, the head of the Pakistani military delegation.

That was the only official Pakistani quote I could find in that article. Sounds quite reasonable to me.

One side of story? that too from an Afghan news :D

Afghan Army started an attack on posts in Parachinar and in response not just Pak Army but tribals specially from Kurram both Sunni & Shia tribes have came out to give them answer and show the support for Pak army against Afghan army and their ISIS proxies. Afghans suffered heavy causalities. A few pics to show give you an idea of our brave tribals who came out.

Well, maybe its time to reclaim Pakistan and send millions of Afghan criminal peasants back to Afghanistan. We don't want an inch of Afghanistan neither do we want the Afghanis criminals living here.

Shoulda annexed it lol. I always thought the wakhan corridor should be part of Pakistan, that way Pakistan would neighbor Tajikistan.

You attack our posts and expect zero retaliation?

Yeh tou humara bara-pan hai ke hum apki post wapis kar rahay hain.

And they should be thankful we are not thinking about using Air Force against them with full force otherwise they will come down to their knees currently they just ran away by leaving posts.

Source? Other than Afghan or Indian that is.

Please wait until ISPR unbans GeoTV to get an alternative source.

FYI Geo is available everywhere on cable in Pakistan and at least in my city it was never ever blocked i got family living in army area cantonment where all GEO channels are open. Only back in 2007 when emergency was imposed and every news channel was blocked at that time Geo was blocked too. Now to educate you more Dawn is known as the most neutral and liberal channel far ahead of Geo (although i dont really like because of dawn the way they have become Sharifs mouthpiece after Geo). So next time do some research work instead of quick googling sitting at the other side of border. Thank You

Why? The OP supposedly quoted an article. The etiquette on this forum is to reference the source whenever something is quoted, preferably with a link if possible. I didn't realise you were unaware of this simple (unwritten?) rule.

I think Pakistan government should ask help from turkey in creating a wall like they have built on the Syrian border a great peace of engineering .

Pastheen page just started criticizing the wall too that its a conspiracy to divide pashtuns well now we know who is behind them and their actual motives.

Did you write the article yourself? Otherwise you probably need to post a link from the source AFG_Brit

That's not the link to the OP article. Besides this link give a completely different picture of events as opposed to the OP.

If you post an article, provide it's link, and not a link to some other article from some other source. Even more so if the other source's article paints a completely different picture of events.

Tell your government to send them back, what they waiting for? And to people questioning Afghan news channels credibility, who would you believe? Pakistani news? Which we know is already being controlled by Pak army. Bilal sarwary ( Afghan freelancer journalist) has also reported this. He regularly reports for BBC and other international news outlets.

Now, you guys can close your eyes and pretend nothing has happened because you just want to see one side as being right and ther other side as Indian agents! Now everyone is Indian agent as per Pakistani ppers.

Many Afghan refugee's have been sent back and more will follow. I have it from people living in Peshawar that trucks have been taking them away over the past months however it will take much longer to completely remove them. The second rate Afghan army is nothing at all, Pak has been teaching them a very hard lesson over the past few days. Afghanistan with the help of RAW has been trying to restart this Pakhtunistan movement again as of recent only to most meet a dead end. There are far more Pakhtuns in Pakistan who love the country. Most have no interest in this terrorist infested movement at all.
