Russian-Pakistani tactical exercise "Friendship-2017" will be held in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia from 22 September to 4 October, reports TASS the press service of the southern district.Servicemen of the southern military district completed the preparation for participation in joint Russian-Pakistani tactical exercise "Friendship-2017" which will be held from 22 September to 4 October in the mountain-woody area on the territory of Karachay-Cherkess Republic in the area of the village of Nizhny Arkhyz.

Something about Russian army is amazing,if it wasn't for Gorbachev USSR would had remained a competition,Very brutal and unforgiving just like the weather there.

Soviet Union would have never survived for long. All the countries that comprise it are so diverse. Imagine ten Indias within one India. The only way it would have stuck around is if it had a massive growing economy that brought prosperity to her citizens.

Why is this news? Military exercises are a common thing, we have military exercises with the US, japan, Philippines, Australia, singapore even China. You can still be isolated on foreign policy while these exercises take place

this is the first joint military exercise between pakistan and russia in russia since cold war.

and after the first russia - pakistan 2016 exercise in pakistan last year,
this year the Indian media/govt wre claiming something else.

Indians won't have the audacity to reply now. The funny thing is that the only support they have left now are USA and Israel who will never EVER make any move that doesn't end up with themselves being the bigger beneficiaries. How IRONIC that with all the "isolation" stream and propoganda India had running like wildfire a few months ago has come back to bite them in the behind!

Been left abandoned themselves. With two major superpowers like China and Russia on Pakistan's left and right, it is hilarious for India to even stand straight at this point. But hey, they're happy having the support of Afghanistan and Bangladesh!

It was russia who helped india during 1971 . If you read little bit , you will get to know about the russia role.I dnt see russia dumping india anytine soon.
Russia and india are like g.f and b.f ,who are only making other one feeling jealous ,when that one goes out on date with some one ( usa ) else and in return other one goes to party with the one who is not likeable to his partner(pakistan).
 
Fair to say that we had a tight knit relation with the Soviet Union. Not Russia.

India holds such exercises with China.Does that mean India China have military relations?

Oh btw India doesnt need to complain.Putin himself said so.And Pakistan cannot buy billions of dollars of russian equipment.

All are third class except Pak Army who lost half their country. :)))


FYI India and Russia hold tri services exercises every year.LOL.

After it officially denied reports that it had shown any interest in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Moscow has not just declared strong support for the China-funded project but also announced its intention to link its own Eurasian Economic Union project with CPEC.

Russia's ambassador to Pakistan Alexey Y Dedov has now been quoted as saying that Russia and Pakistan have held discussions to merge Moscow's Eurasian Economic Union project with the CPEC.

Dedov said Russia "strongly" supported CPEC as it was important for Pakistan's economy and also regional connectivity.

In last 1year Pakistan has claimed varioys things in the name of Russia and Russia has come out and denied it.Thats how shamelessly the narrative of Russia being with Pakistan narrative has been pushed.

RD 93 were being supplied to China who then used a JV with Pakistan to transfer the engine.Not to mention the reduced lifespan of engine from 4000hrs to 2200hrs.Russia kept both China and India happy.

Russia is consolidating it's grip on the east. If Pakistan goes the same way as Turkey, the NATO foothold in the area is going to be seriously weakened.

we have other options too, germany, italy, sweden , turkey etc for our other military equipment needs.
for example ,SAMs from Italy, SAAB AWACS from sweden and ATAK-129 helis from turkey etc.

looks like you still stuck in past, they were supplied to china in 2007,
but its 2017 now. after lifting arms embargo we are in direct talks for more engines, and we are going to choose rd-33mk instead of rd-93 for other blocks of jf-17s which has the lifespan of 4000 hours.

we bought these from ukraine after russia agreed to supply pakistan. it was russia who gve the nod for it.

Mi-35s have dozens of variants, what you "gifted" to ANA is Mi-35E,
we bought the latest version of Mi-35M, theres a difference in every variant.
