Pakistan as a nation is a collective failure: Reham Khan

Ever since she published her controversial biography, criticism against Reham Khan, former wife of Imran Khan, has intensified.

While supporters have commended Reham for what they called her courage to speak up, opponents have accused her of indulging in character assassination of her former husband.

With over two million followers on Twitter, Ms Khan has become more active on the social media platform since the July 25 election which saw Imran Khan's party win majority of seats.

She has criticized the PTI and retweeted a large number of Twitter posts targeting the party, drawing series of accusations from Imran Khan's supporters.

The former TV presenter was recently tagged with a photo of newspaper report in which she reportedly praised Imran Khan as the "best ex-husband".

She dismissed the report as fake only to be tagged with an old tweet of her in which she said "Why have we only produced one Imran Khan in 67 years in Pakistan? #Onehero.

Instead of dismissing it as fake, she went on to defend her statement and said Pakistan as a nation is a collective failure.

"We have individual success & that too very few who make it big. Pakistan as a nation is a collective failure. Malala should be a greater Hero but Pakistanis labelled a brave child a spy. She had to leave. A man who was a great cricketer had crores of investment in him for years"

Elections season is over. her masters are in jail. she should better keep her mouth shut and walk away. if not, thn someone is going to drag her into courts thn she will regret.

A bitter ex-wife and attention "bleep" who wants to stay in limelight.

Pakistani media has ignored her, her 15 minutes are up in foreign media, so she has to come up with controversial words to stay relevant.

It's apparent she wants to stay in the news as much as possible so she has begun to respond to people on twitter. How low can you go.

She's been responding to people to on Twitter for as long as I can remember. She's a narcissist and cares a lot about what people think of her.

Does she ever shut up?!

You as a human bean are a failure, a person is not responding to you at all and you keep jumping and screaming trying to get there attention. Koi garat hothi hei insan ki apni, get a life, low life!

Is she even relevant anymore? Her book failed. IK won elections.

I actually used to give her benefit of the doubt. She is clearly being bitter now and needs attention.

Reham Khan is far more graceful and classier than this, and she should maintain that. Find a better partner.

Pakistan is such a failure that you moved there and enjoyed a good salary being an anchor when in the UK you were a weather girl.

Says the person who’s only goal in life at the moment is to take down someone. And failing at that, too.

I agree with the words because you just gotta visit that country with your own eyes to see why that is a collective failure.

Millions of kids are out of school, public health is non-existent, corruption is rife, rich has the danda, different laws for poor/rich, more than half of the population lives under poverty, no law and order, judicial system is corrupt - cases can take decads to settle, land mafia, waderas, corrupt police, terrible institutions and list goes on.

The wrong person has said the right thing.

Should be a lesson for you, when you keep repeating the wrong 'words' for attention then even when you say the right 'words' it is taking by the other as 'wrong', a concept of credibility and should consider.

Reham needs to ditch this false connection to Pakistan and fully embrace the country she actually calls home which is England. She might not be a native Brit like me, but she has lived and worked here long enough to be accepted as an honourable immigrant. Then she could curse Pakistan with an open heart. At the moment she still has a foot in both camps which I don't recommend.

"There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about." - Oscar Wilde

or

"Bad publicity is better than no publicity at all"

By being in the public eye, for good or bad, she's making money, by being paid for interviews, being on talk shows ...etc.

And the more controversy you create, the more publicity you generate, which means more interviews, more appearances on talk shows .....meaning more money ..... get the picture?

Reham Khan was a bad choice Khan sab. Shes going to make a living out of IK till she dies now, this woman would have, could have become a political masterstroke if she had actually rejected Khan's proposal and then aired her views as a neutral. Everything she would say now, even if it is the truth would not be taken seriously because right now its IK's time to fly high. She cant fight the tide and her book was too early, she should have waited a bit like Tehmina Durrani did.

I say what I have to say. I am not here to make friends or enemies. If that brings my attention, there is nothing I can do about it.

The journey of Pakistan is only 70 years old. It took the great superpowers like US and Great Britain 200 years to reach where they are today.

I won't be surprised if she soon gets her show in India like Tarek Fatteh..

That too by colonizing the whole world and looting them of their resources.

She is an incredibly sad person now after being divorced by IK. Just saying such things to remain relevant. Like most developing countries Pakistan has many external and internal problems. The governments have failed Pakistan as have the common people yet we live in hope. If she doesn't like Pakistan then feel free to migrate to Afghanistan from where she claims her ancestry.

Reham needs to move on with her life and stop being so bitter. She married IK and for various reasons that are well documented it didnt work out. She didn't give the best years of her life to IK, she was already divorced with kids, hence the failings her in her life are not IK's fault and she needs to move on like IK.

I kinda feel bad for her to be honest

Hope she finds inner peace and is able to move on from her divorce
