Pakistan batsmen resilient on rain-hit Day 4, reach 100/2 at Stumps, still trail by 210 runs

For the passionate PAK fans here (I am one also), my humble request is .... regarding "ball tempering", guys - let's maintain a low profile.

I’ve heard Azhar Mehmood has gotten a coaching role at the ECB, is this true?

Anderson the best bowler in this series - there is no doubt about that!

England bowlers looking just as hopeless in this inning as Pak bowlers were in first inning after first 4 wickets. I hopeI havenot spoken too soon 😆

Light is already decreasing. We might have play for another half hour if lucky

Anderson is now reversing the ball? Wow. First a short ball barrage and now reverse swing.
Anderson is doing these tricks after a long time.

Asian fans didnt know he was capable of these skills

Where was this reverse swing when Pak was bowling? I think it is pretty clear our bowlers are really inexperienced.

Posters been talking about hype of young Naseem ,but what about the much more experienced, olderand faster Archer. He has been barely noticeable again. So farin tbe series few ofour weak tail end wickets I can remember

Even in the first test Eng got the reverse in the 3rd innings but Pak was unable to extract any in the 4th innings. Waqar needs work on that and how maintain the bowl for the occasion.

Time for Babar to step in test cricket. Don't wanna hear the age excuses. Needs to help steer us to a draw.

Abid Ali gone. Anderson has decided to get all his wickets through lbw because no one is catching

Pathetic honestly pathetic...flat wicket and we get two umpires review against us

Another marginal decison given fast by English umpire to help struggling English bowlers.

Been saying since the start of the first game, England will always get the rub of the green when it comes to these marginal calls.

If nothing is happening, is it a thing for the umpires to make something happen with these really marginal calls? Both Shan and Abid hard done by with very marginal calls . .

anyway well played Abid, now these two have to see off today anyhow, or else only rain can save us.

This should be Not Out decision by Umpire....
Going legside.. . Another bad decision by English Umpires..

Ridiculous decision it’s hitting the outer outer flap of the pad how can you give that out in real time it’s always going down leg

2 out for 88 runs after 50 overs.

Too late to take advantage of the flat track now the ball is reversing

True. Having Waqar should be helpful for the bowlers.

I actually want to see Wasim being the bowling coach of Pak. Really want to know how that would improve our bowling!

wasim is much more clever than waqar. why doesnt he want to coach pak?

They’ve been told what to do. They’re just ridiculously stupid in how they refuse to keep the rough side dry. Yasir licking his hands and palming it. The way Root takes over the shining of the ball. If you see the condition of the ball in the first test it was just abysmal. The whole team has to ensure they’re looking after it.

Theyre just levels above us now that’s the problem.

I don’t think he wants to work at the PCB. He knows the dirty politics that happens there.

Fact is Wasim was, is and will always be better than Waqar!

Not really sure why would you not ball a decent off stump line to a new batsman and will keep on putting in bouncer

if babar can't survive even till stumps tu iss sab talent ka achar dalna hm ne, as they say when the going gets tough the tough gets going.

GOD is so cruel ... just when "passionate & knowledgeable" PAK fans (I am also one - passionate definitely, don't know how much knowledgeable) were trying to "normalize" things about ENG winning toss, what could PAK "achieved" batting first ........ etc. etc. etc. - a wicket falls and I hope Babar doesn't troll us further ..

Guy, can't we just accept that PAK is fighting very well and deserves all the praise, BUT ENG is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar, faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar
better team in terms of individuals & collectively, and they are playing at home.

I have read "fans" here pulling down India's underwear for beating a club level Australian team without Smith & Warner - same fans have completely forgotten that this is England without the best cricketer in contemporary world.

Just be normal guys - no hard feelings & nothing personal. I am a fan also, but I enjoy cricket first and my emotions don't get better of my good judgement.

Wasim was restricted to not coach a national team if I am not wrong by ICC. I dont have the 100% knowledge so maybe someone with more understanding of the topic can shed light.

Throughout this series our approach to batting has been very negative, once your openers see off the new ball they should be looking to score, our openers carry on trying not to get out!

wasim himself was involved in more dirty politics during his career than waqar. maybe he had a change of heart

MMHS Take a deep breath you old dude, you are taking it way too serious, it's all fun and games and time pass banter, no one is saying we are better team than England, but maybe not that far far far far bad than them either, if not for that butler woakes partnership and help of some rain this far far fat better English team would have lost the series 1-0, so chill man.

Oh okay... really wish he does the job.

Hardly any sane poster claims Pak to be England level team, and itshows in ranking, but we are saying despite their inadequacies Pak are doing ok. As for Stoke I think Crawley's contribution have matched what he may have done.
If stoke played crawley would have been left out.

Agreed with your post. England certainly are quite a better team but think you're overrating them a bit. Much better than Pakistan, but they are miles below India, New Zealand, and Australia.

Root is bowling.

I think England can play an extra batsman instead of Bess.

Root is economical.

So, the fall of a single wicket discredits the argument that batting conditions were vastly different across the first and then second and third day? Weird logic.

Also, this "far" superior team barely sneaked home in the first game and were outplayed during most of the course of the test match.

You got a little too excited with the fall of that wicket.

I know this is England’s home series, I just wish Akram on commentary would talk about Pakistan more
