What's new

Pakistan bowled out for 294, stretch match into Day 4, set South Africa target of 41 to win 2nd Test

254 deficit, SA bowling vs PAK batting, jag off the pitch, uneven bounce and maybe even some swing. Popcorn time!

The crack is miles outside legstump for the lefthanders.

So they can’t be LBW off it.

They need to take guard on off-stump and leave most deliveries.

As KP said yesterday, the best batsmen are the best leavers of the cricket ball. That's what the boys need to do.

Shan plays the short stuff so fluently.

Unbelievable to see from a PAK batsman after a long time.

We need 500+ here to be anywhere near the game.

Good decision to send in Masood

Azhar should come in 1 down

Followed by Babar

I hope we score 500 in 2 days and give a target of 250 on the final day, bundling them under 200.

Please get to lunch without losing any wicket. Please,i beg you.

It will get easier later.

Imam is much better than Fakhar but people don't say anything about fakhar

Great move to send Fakhar down the order, he will murder SA bowlers with the old ball.

Philander is more threatening than Abbas because in spite of a lack of pace, at the very least he is military medium and bowls around the 130 KPH mark. Below 125 KPH, very few bowlers can be successful against quality batsmen. Feasting on an Australia C team who are getting destroyed by India at home isn't really the hallmark for success anymore.

Whether anyone likes it or not, Amir is still clearly the best bowler we have and the spearhead of the attack.

Fakhar isn't coming out anytime soon.

Has his training kit on while the rest are in test kits.

Imagine Shan fails and Imam scores a 50. That will confuse everyone :yk

That would not confuse me. Imam has a habit of scoring a couple of runs in second innings. Still not good enough to be in the team.

Azhar is already sorted by Oliver... Only hope is of he is made to bat against old ball

I don’t get what he is trying to do against the short ball... Like either pull it or don’t play it at all :)) Like whats the point of jumping and trying to defend it.

And there goes Imam wow shocking.

Thankfully Imam spared is the dilrmm6

Thankfully Imam spared us the dilemma.

Im sensing a 6th wicket partnership:
Babar and Zaman 200+ runs

Sometimes in cricket you have to take the ruthless decisions to drop batsmen who are horribly out of form.

It was irresponsible NOT to drop Imam and Sarfraz.

Not trying to annoy or offend any Pak poster here, but I seriously feel the match will be over today itself.

Imam is unbelievable. Why are you going after balls that far away from you. Leave those balls and try to survive until Lunch

Is Azhar not physically able to duck?

Younis and Misbah were unusual: 95% of batsmen are in terminal decline at Azhar Ali’s age of almost 34.

His hand-eye coordination has gone, and he is getting less side-on. That can work on slow Asian wickets, but it means he’s finished outside Asia.

That feeling when you realise you can't even drop both Imam and Shafiq for the next Test because our pea-brained selector sent a batsman short.

Younis especially was an anamolly scoring huge hundreds in England and Australia in his 40’s. Wish he would have come out of retirement for this series :))

What has Philander done in asia? You jumped to conclusion only after 1 innings.
