What's new

Pakistan comfortably defeat Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in third T20I to win the series 3-0

Doesnt look like a dashing player this Shafiq guy does he?

He didnt face much bowlers in the first 6 overs and puts a price on his wicket ideally he should bat at 4 in odis and develop his t20 game

The only place we should be sending him is on the bench or out the squad

PCB have no choice but to continue with him, as his fans will cry that he wasnt given a fair chance. Complete waste of spot in ODI's and T20s. So wish Khushdil could keep wickets and we can just replace him with Hafeez in this batting line up

Credit to Babar for giving opportunity to youngsters to bat. So refreshing to see two young guns performing.

100 percent credit must be given to babar for letting abdullah haider and khushdil bat instead of himself well done babar

Need this Abdullah guy in tests and ODIS.....Need..Saud Shakil in tests....
And Qadir should be a fixed in t20s..esp
In Asia....

Bro that Zeeshan Ashraf Guy is impressive. I like his technique and his leg side game. I would back him as a keeper batsman

Just the way Abdullah Shafique bats makes it seem like he's perfect for ODI's

Not overly impressed by Abdullah Shafique, I haven't had the experience however of watching him in the national t20 cup. Looks pleasing on the eye though, but to me he seems just seems like any other young batsmen, nothing stands out like a Babar or Haider Ali. Poorish temperament too but that is to be expected from a 20 year old who has barely played first class or one day cricket (one match?).

Also on the topic of Sana Mir, don't think her command of the english language is that great but her comments are brutal, in my opinion the female commentator Pakistan cricket needs.

He has impressed me his technique is really good he can rotate the strike he has the big shot but he needs to improve on this to take it to the next level maybe more suited to odis and tests but can be given games in t20s when the series is won or lost to help him develop this.

That's true and exactly we need a keeper who can bat and hit and not waste a spot in the team.does khushdil keep ?

Yeah but we've all been burnt before on numerous occasions.

Yes but haider is different he has come throw the 19s system and has played some first class list A games I belive he will around close to 40 and strike rate of 145 in t20s I'd be happy if he can achieve this.people state hes a leg side player that is totally untrue he can play both

Mo haris if he keeps delivering he is made for limited overs same with azam khan.rohail is proberly more suited to odis and maybe tests.i would have rohail mo haris and azam ahead of rizwan in 1 year.but zeeshan Ashraf should be brought into the t20s hes an aggressive Bateman and okay keeper atleast he wont have a position waste eith him

Okay.

All in all, a pretty uneventful series.

Pakistan handled its business, and many thanks (as always) to our brothers from Zimbabwe for visiting. A couple of observations:

1. Babar's ascension is complete (just named Test Captain); hope he gets enough time to shine before the infamous wolves of Pakistan Cricket come for his head.

2. Glad Husnain and Qadir finally got some playing time; I was beginning to think they were paid to carry drinks and roam the boundaries.

3. Haider Ali looks the part; it will be a great litmus test to see how he fares in NZ.

4. While Pakistan Cricket will forever indebted to Fakhar Zaman for CT17, it's clear that he just doesn't have what it takes to warrant a place in the team; with all due respect to Zimbabwe, this series was meant for him to regain his form, but he just seems a shell of his former self.

5. For the love of god, please discard Haris Rauf; he is an absolute trundler who wouldn't find a place in any other national starting XI. He is a spray gun, has an attitude, and celebrates his wickets like he has won the WC final. I would much rather have Husnain and Wahab in his place.

Khusdil has the power to be a good T20 player. He needs to be played at 5 and given a long run. The guy is the hardest hitter of a cricket ball I have seen from PK since Afridi.
