Pakistan down England in thrilling World Cup encounter to end 11-match losing streak

I told ya guys this pitch has something for spinners and and was not the usual trent bridge pitch after 10 overs in pak innings

That was a chuck! :yk

Keep it up Professor. Win this WC for us.

Next match Imad for Malik and Shaheen/Hasnain for Hasan. We will be on the top.

It's tough. I really liked Mansoor Amjad, but for some reason after a great debut, he disappeared into the wilderness.

We never defined Afridi so we could never have a consistent squad as a result.

Was he a batsmen? If so he should be top 4. Wasn't good enough for that obviously.

Was he a bowler? He has a what, 36 average? So clearly that is a no.

Was he an A-rounder? Hard to say. Couldn't rely on him on either side, would be a toss up which of the two he would perform on, and more often than not, it was neither.

I remember he played a match or two against Bangladesh.... I do recall him getting 3 wickets in one over in the one off T20 vs Bangladesh in 2008 where we scored 208.

And I completely agree with you on the rest, that is spot on.

Hafeez performs rarely but when he does he single handedly wins the game for pak
Lets see today if we win oe not

Like a pendulum!! This is going to be one hell of a world cup. Pak is back!!!

Professor to teach at Oxford after world cup. Topics will be chucking, how to finish an innings despite claiming you're not a finisher, and sticking around way past your time and making an impact every now and then.
Big props though big key wicket here. One more wicket here and England will be in real trouble. Some pressure has been built up over the last five overs and that got Morgan back in the Pavilion.

A couple more wickets and pressure will transfer onto england.

If we lose this match, will be completely Mickey's fault. England have more trouble with the spinners, and we left out a spinner, going a full bowler down for Malik of all people.

Stokes in and then there is Butler, Ali, so need few more wickets before we go to the tail. Any idea how good is England's tail.

For the two years he played well, kudos to him, I am only for Pakistan cricket. No regional bias (I'm from Canada). If Afridi was good, I would stand and applaud, but I am a numbers guy in tandem with the eye test.

His century in 37 balls hurt our cricket for far too long.

Only Butler is left, I don't think Moeen Bhai can play a destructive innings.. Victory is close.. can even dream of 100+ run win..

When you realize it could’ve been 89-4 had Root been taken

Happy so far

Hope it doesn’t come back to bite us

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. They bat very, very deep with each of their batsmen having serious amounts of ability.

I'm from Canada as well ;)

Indeed, he was overrated a lot by the casual fans..

In another side he would have never played that many matches.

He won us a lot of matches but he lost twice as many.

Even waqar is a better commentator than wasim

Wasim lives off his “meet and greet” to the cameras.

Waqar may not be as astute of the game but at least he puts forth an honest effort.

Run rate required now 7.59. England can't afford to tuk-tuk it for too long, but I hope today they can take a leaf out of Misbah's book.

You have to get them out first. Don't count chickens before they've hatched.

offcourse they can afford. They Bat deep need to keep taking wicket

Since when does Wasim Akram live in Karachi? I thought he was based in Lahore.

Along with his wife, he's one of the most marketable faces in Pakistan so I suppose that explains it.
