Pakistan end Day 2 on 154/3 in reply to New Zealand's score of 449 all-out

The best I've seen Naseem bowl was when Australia toured Pakistan. He was sharp, accurate and reversing the old ball. Best fast bowler in that series after Cummins.

Pakistan should back Hasnain and Dahani in tests as well. Trundlers like Mir Hamza won't do much.

A specific length was working for him. He was jolted bY Henry's unorthodox batting. Ball is also getting older. Batting will become easier by the minute.

He bowled beautifully this match too, for most part.
 
Babar again doing what he did yesterday in the second session, sticking with abrar and he went for plenty. Very thick.
 
It looks like Abrar can't fire in anything at 60 mph even if his life depends on it, 90% of his deliveries are in the 76-78 km/hr range, zero problems for batsmen and very predictable.

This guy features in NZ pulling the rug from beneath us type scenarios.

Also remember an ODI way back when Azhar Ali was captain and NZ were 80 odd with 6-7 wickets down and ended up with 280 something. I think he was involved back then too, correct me if I’m wrong. This is a 7year old game.
 
Babar will get better with experience. Give him another 3 years as captain

Pakistan are adopting the mid 2000s Indian approach sadly. Hasnain has been kicked to the curb because Babar doesn’t know how to use him despite 140+ pace and movement. Always cried and moans as soon as Hasnain gets hit for a boundary.

A lot of posters here whine and cry too when he plays then wonder where all our pacers are.

Zero patience.
 
Babar once again proving he's worst captain in history of test cricket.
 
Mir Hamza is a ten year veteran in our domestic circuit with 400 wickets but his control has been terrible in international cricket

I’m all for pace but what is pace going to do on these slow pitches. Bouncers are being handled with ease by the no 11.

Ultimately I want to see that if we lose this series too, will Babar retain his captaincy yet again?
 
Watching Babars captaincy is like inviting clinical depression. No wonder Wasim Akram lost his **** with him at Karachi Kings and got him thrown out of the franchise swiftly

Pace is just a part of it, but my point was backing young talent that have the tools like pace and movement.

With experience they can develop the smarts to use those tools too.

Naseem despite some awful performances has also given some world class performances and obviously will be persisted with. Hasnain is equally skilled but gets nowhere near the same amount of chances to prove himself.
 
This proves that Pakistan bowling is logically and practically overrated .
 
Babar's captaincy makes me absolutely cringe. I dislike the notion that your best player should be the captain.

People use argument like:
1) Captain is automatic choice and him being the best player means it ain't an issue
2) Captain's performance uplifts his team.

A captain should be able to make good tactical decision and bring his team together. I cant speak about the latter with regards to Babar but as for the former, Babar looks substandard.

I’m bemused that imam was hopeful of playing world test championship final, there was a thread of his interview. Even Bangladesh is playing better. Babar is a dead wood. No it’s not lack of experience it’s sheer lack of talent. It’s not that shaheen shah would cast a magic spell on opposition and make up for lack of talent of the bowling line up.

Pakistan gace all but ensured they do not win this match bylettung NZ get past 400. Pak will have to bat out of their skins now to even eke out a draw which at the moment will be like a win for them.

How many tests have they won?
 
Nz should win this test match. Apart from sarfraz and saud ,no one in the team plays spin well.
 
They look ungetouttable. Ball loses all the speed after pitching. So you have to bowl as full as possible.
 
Afridi already proving to be a abysmal signing.. who on earth would bring back Hasan has been Ali.. might aswell ask Waqar to get his whites back on !!
