Long day ahead for England. Once the ball gets scuffed up we can see whether there will be any reverse. England lacks a genuine pace option. All are trundlers.

Its criminal to not score a hundred on this surface once you get in as a top order batsman , Pakistan need to just play ball on merit and runs will come. Do not try anything fancy , just look to build partnerships. If they bat whole day with 3 or four down , Pakistan will be in good position.

Only 152 overs played across the first 2 days. On track to lose 75 overs in this Test overall, nearly a full day's play. For a Test already heading for a draw, that just makes it even worse.

Ordinarily 3.54 is a decent run rate. On this pitch 4 an over is very much possible. Pakistan can pick up the pace as the bowlers get tired.

In this match though, seems blessing for the bowlers. Sooner match gets over better.

In any decent conditions for a fast bowler, they would be bowling closing to 15-20. It makes no sense to run your pacers to the ground on a dead track like this.

It's not like Pakistan are exactly destroying spinners to force a bowling change.
