Good point by the commentator. 3 run outs in a series is no fluke, that is a sign of some work going into the fielding from Pakistan.
 
Pakistan needed this fluke wicket because Mulder was looking very good. His FC record is very impressive - a very exciting prospect for South Africa in Test cricket.

Hopefully he is not lost in the system because of the quota.
 
Pakistan should continue with spin here , better Babar should bowl few overs , the way SA play spin , he can get couple of wickets :))
 
You are kidding me....they review the most useless blatant not outs and don’t review the straight forward ones.
 
OK, this is beyond ridiculous now. Clearly Rizwan can't judge reviews, stop depending on him

Pakistan has fielding well but this was terrible judgment. You never take such a risky run in Test cricket even when you are playing against a side that is not fielding well.

This wicket was certainly a fluke.
 
Rizwan needs to work on his reviews and should let the captain know when he isnt sure rather than must having having a stance

He wouldn’t have done jack South Africa are as miserable as Pakistan even more miserable than us atm they are copying our mode of cricket as well if everything is going well do a suicidal run out

It's part of the game. If jadeja was replaced by afridi you would say what brilliant run out it was. This guy looks for reasons to discredit Pakistan.
 
Mr. Linde gets a boundary , he looks a player capable of getting 20s and 30s kind of cameos

Just add Younis Khan and AB de Villiers to both the teams and they will become a top 3-4 team again.

Balances out Fawad wicket and two let offs SA batsmen got due to non review. India could do with few flukes atm.

SA still trail by over 100 runs and have only 4 wickets in hand , Pakistan would easily get a lead of 50 runs at least from here.

Was thinking the same. He will find it hard to take Phelukwayo's place because of the quotas.
 
Hard enough getting the batsman once. The bowlers have to do it twice. Thanks to Rizwan.

Poor captaincy to continue with Yasir Shah. Shaheen was under bowled in the session.
We haven't got that many runs to play with.

Pheluwakyo has decent potential as well. Hasn’t done justice to his talent yet.

South Africa need to move on from Bavuma. He might play a gritty innings every now and then but he does not have the ability to average more than 35 which is not good enough when you are batting in the middle-order.

Mulder can easily do better than him with the bat and also provide a genuine bowling option.

Bavuma is the biggest beneficiary of the quota system. He is to the Test side what that Behardien guy was to the ODI and T20I teams.
 
Even a combined XI of both the teams is not good enough to cope against any of the XI of Big 3.

Yasir in Pakistan is not the same bowler he was in the UAE. His record would have been less impressive had he played all his home Tests here.

It really shows how much Pakistan benefited from playing in UAE. There is no way they would have become the number 1 side in 2016 by playing in Pakistan.

Their fast bowling is really poor and has been for so many years now. It is very difficult to see the likes of England, Australia and New Zealand losing in Pakistan in this era.

2010 and 2013 South Africa, who drew in UAE, would have comfortably in Pakistan. It was a brilliant team.

Pakistan is no longer capable of dominating quality lineups with pace bowling, and if Yasir is handicapped, they will struggle to win at home against the top teams.

Hassan Ali might pick a cheap 5-fer here, but he is not going to run through better lineups with the same level of bowling.
 
Very good bowling by Hassan Ali.
Him and Shaheen have underbowled + bad reviews and we could have got a 100 run lead.

That's very good bowling from Hasan Ali here. Don't know why it's cheap. It's a decent line up and he got one of your favorite batsman for 0.
 
Pacers from both sides outperforming spinners again in Rawalpindi, even when it wasnt intended.

Rizwan suddenly is thick after great performances with bat and keeping as well GOOD reviews in NZ and reasonable captaincy., just because he is having an average match for change.
 
Yasir Shah in slips has been a complete disaster
Kick him out put Azhar in
 
Shaheen is so unlucky. He would have been the next Wasim if he played for any other top team but has to satisfy himself being a Zaheer Khan level only.

It was the only wicket-taking delivery. Other than that he has been gifted wickets with poor batting.

He is an average Test bowler.
