Which is why I was prediciting Bangladesh to give us a good match in the Asia Cup, while even you were going for an easy Pakistan win :))

Overall Kiwis are under rated cricket nation - excluding Maori & Chinese origin, they are pulling a world class team from 2.3 mn people, ...... after making Soccer WC, Hockey WC, Basketball WC, Handball WC, Softball WC and not to mention Rugby.
 
Yasir is running through Kiwis now. The difference has been his improved accuracy. Before Nicholls wicket, NZ had scored 11 runs in the last ten overs. Yasir is lethal when he gets his radar right

Yes you were humbled after the thrashings against India, after a month of trash talking of how we will brush them aside without much fuss. I think it was about time, wasn’t it?

No poster was more humiliated because of the Asia Cup debacle, and to be fair, you deserved it. Some of your posts leading up to the tournament clearly did not age well.

It’s not as if you were predicting Bangladesh to beat us before the tournament started. Let’s not be disingenuous now.
 
Bilal has bowled 14 overs which is less than pacers in UAE, he should have bowled more if Sarfaraz was confident on his abilities otherwise makes no sense to keep him playing. In this match he hasn’t contributed anything with the bat or the ball.

Exactly Irfan Jailer is in top form. Get him asap and utilize his form. I hope he gets a 5 wicket haul in next innings against Eng Lions to make a case in 2nd test for main side.

Great stuff by Yasir, really pulled us back in the match now. Hopefully we'll get a sub 200 target here and should be chased down. Pak ahead again in this match.

What does getting humbled by India have to do with what happened against Bangladesh?

Yes I atleast have the decency to admit when I’m wrong, unlike a delirious poster who blows his trumpet of doom and gloom, and runs away when Pakistan starts doing well. You will be chased off this forum by a few of us one of these days :amir2
 
But yasir is done..been found out should be dropped etc etc... Why cant we for once be patient and realise its test cricket at its best...and the opposition had come to play as well .not to make up the numbers!

Haris is surprisingly good at attacking the stumps. Really impressed with his bowling, considering he hasn’t been a regular bowler in FC cricket.
 
I don't think Pakistan can chase this total. We saw what happened chasing a similar total against SL last year.
 
Partnership is key here - whenever new batsman is coming, wickets are falling in a bunch.
 
So the troll fed SL bait and people start nibbling. This guy gets commission from Pakpassion to say something controversial and people start typing (like I am doing :P)

You blame the Bangladesh loss on the so-called low confidence of the team after getting a reality check against India. However, the truth is that there not much between Pakistan and Bangladesh in Limited Overs in Asian conditions.

Some of our posters here need to get off their high horse as far as Bangladesh is concerned. 1-6 in the last 7 Limited Overs matches should ring a bell.

As far as my running away is concerned, well we look like winning at the moment but I am still here.
 
After current match if bilal is selected for the 2nd match as well, it will again be some poor strategy from Mickey when it comes to selection. You cant have free riders especially in the test match. And hopefully if he is replaced it is not by a pacer but by a proper spinner.

What about bringing Irfan jnr for the next match the way Haris has troubled them? He has taken 4 wickets today,the only good selection from MR revolutionary.
 
NZ best batsman after Williamson is Tom Latham. But for some strange reason they dont play him in test cricket.

Herath’s quality is different from Sodhi and Ajaz but still if one of them becomes a hero anything can happen. Herath is probably one of the best ever left arm spinners with 400 odd wickets, and also had a good record against Pak

Is he 5th or 6th Irfan Jr.? I think, one SLAO spinner is must - this Irfan's batting stats are also good, why not.
 
Yaser shah currently at 181 test wickets he went past Shoaib akthar and saeed Ajmal who had 178 each

Pakistan announced their squad for the first 2 matches , changes can be made for the third match.
 
I'm still having trouble getting to terms in seeing Ajaz Patel with an MRF bat. Like how???? And why???

PAK is host here, they can easily bring any player for next Test. Hafeez was added as 18th member before 1st Test against AUS.
 
When New Zealand passed 125 Mujhein tab se sahi potty nai ayi. Anything close to 170, too much for PAK.

As I said, you really should stop posting in Match threads. You are well out of your depth here and really have no idea what you're talking about. Let's visit the 'Bangladesh are a powerhouse' thread and check up on my posts, where I've said Bangladesh is a competitive ODI team. Although, I don't believe they are better than Pakistan.

I'm certain you will run away if we do manage to win this, unless you want to be humiliated for some of the pre-mature comments you have made in the Match threads so far :))

I agree but the pitch is detoriating and getting tougher to bat. There aren't many decent players of spin in the batting order. But we deserve to lose for dropping the best player of spin in Fakhar.

So good was his record against Pakistan that he has over 100 of his 400 odd wickets against us if I remember correctly
 
Haris only started bowling seriously after Ajmal and Hafeez were banned in 2014/2015.

He is clearly naturally gifted with the ball. Reminds me of Clarke, who could have taken many Test wickets if it wasn’t for his back.

It has been. Tendulkar, Waugh, Lara, ABDV, Kohli, Dhawan. Can't remember anyone else playing with an MRF bat. Dhawan is questionable but ok. But Ajaz Patel???? Maybe he bought the bat from some discount store in Auckland. :P

51st over for Yasir in a low scoring game (out of 164 overs) & still 2 wickets left. PAK must think about a 2nd spinner whom Captain trusts.
 
Pakistan cannot afford to give 30-40 to the last two wickets.
 
Only pessimists can believe that a 4th day pitch in UAE will be a minefield. It will be slow but not mine field.

Hassan and Abbas have individually bowled more overs than the 2nd spinner in this match.

He's been medically advised to rest. Can't blame the selectors or management on this one. You also have to share the work load around ahead of the world cup.
 
Pakistan is not out of the woods yet. It is looking a lot better than from an hour ago.

Please don’t try to fool me. I am aware of the fact that you have praised Bangladesh with gritted teeth recently, but that is only out of “sharam”.

I clearly remember your condescending attitude towards them before the Asia Cup and how they are no match to Pakistan.

Your recent views on Bangladesh in Limited Overs which are borne out of embarrassment have no meaning.
 
Shaheen would have cleaned up this tail very quickly. Can't believe the 2 best prospects in tests didn't play this game.
