Wasim was a leader and people looked up to him. Biggest reason he was successful as a captain in a Pakistani dressing room.

Waqar is a poor leader because of his certain attributes, but knows his bowling. The reason he has always worked well with younger bowlers (Gul, Amir in the past) but struggled to cope with senior players as head coach.

Then again like Mamoon said that great players aren't always great managers or coaches as well. For them its all about natural ability which they can't communicate with others. Someone like YK, Misbah had to work hard for their runs and know a tactics for several conditions.
 
Rizwan is a top notch keeper to spin bowling. Should be in the team just on the basis of that. Sarfraz would never in a million years catch that.
 
Keep em under 200 for the pyschological? Would also be interesting to see how Abid comes out to bat. Pakistan may have a lead but not exactly a 200+ where they can start playing shots. He’s a decent bat, just needs to store away the hard hands for a bit.

Prediction is basically a bet. You have to choose the most likely option. If you always bet on outliers (such as Pakistan winning), you will lose more money than you win, because a team like Pakistan loses more often than not.
 
Haha arrogant Archer tried to stand his ground hoping the umpire missed it.... but then the umpire raised his finger as an afterthought like - that was so obvious mate, why are you waiting for my decision.
 
Just need it wrapped up now. Babar schooling Archer later on will be icing on the cake.
 
All those asking what is Shadab haters is in the team for, should know now for his useful batting and bowling and excellent fielding.
Yasir, Shan and Shadab cannotbe happy watching this match.

He is a very good all-round keeper. Did a good job in Australia as well.

Theres a difference between stating that England is better and should win etc, compared to how you were adamantly stating 6 months ago that it WILL be a whitewash and that we should bookmark your posts.

You would have a problem with him if drinks a glass of water. He has every right to stand his ground - it is the umpire’s job to judge him out.
 
Rizwans keeping has been brilliant. Just needs to work on his batting and relax a bit more
 
Rizwan is probably the best keeper in the world right now. Cant think of as complete keeper against both spin and pace.
 
So turns out Misbah was right, plenty of spin on this pitch. Not as bad as fans make him out to be

I was about to post this but I have already posted a few times about his interview from yesterday so felt like it may develop a reputation.

A long time, I remember Sourav Ganguly not walking after being bowled over by Shahid Afrii off a big leg break. Lol, my dad who was watching that 2005/06 test with me went like “kameengi kar raha hai Ganguly”.

Rich coming from you, after your posts on Shadab and Naseem. Hating with an incredible bias at whatever they do. You've trivialised Shadabs fielding which is the best we've ever seen from a Pakistani, to 'acting'.

The difference is - I accept that Archer is a talented bowler and could go on to become an ATG. However he has a terrible attitude, is hugely overrated and believes the hype like he's the biggest superstar in world cricket.

And I feel also has a better work ethic than SA (btw, I was a big SA fan). I think a lot of Haris Sohail’s, Sami Aslam’s don’t appreciate the importance of work ethic and motivation/vision in today’s game. The difference between mickey mouse leagues and chasing test cricket records/immortality. Like Babar in that sense, loved Shan’s keenness.

If England reduce the lead to below 100, it would be a psychological blow for Pakistan.

Looks unlikely though. Broad needs to swing his bat and not rotate the strike.

This is annoying. Need Naseem. Anderson should be easy wicket. First poor fielding. Shadab himself.
