Pakistan finish Day 3 on 137/8 against England, lead by 244 runs

Pakistan will win the game but until positions based on connections such as Azhar are made in the team it'll never translate in to long term success.
 
Seriously won’t mind 15 or so streaky or quick fire runs, just need to throw ENG a bit.

You tuned into the wrong innings. Should have caught up with the first 2 days of play.
 
England are going to have to dismiss Pakistan for 100 to make this a contest.
 
Just need to bat out the day with max 5 down. Should lead by 220-230 by then. Go back. Regroup. Reassess and come out tomorrow morning aiming for 270+.
 
If we don’t get 275 lead minimum we’re losing this

Insted we have allowed to come back into it completely
 
Asad Quota fifty will set up match.
Rizwan will slug a gun 40-45
Both leggies will chip in with cameos with bat and win game on day 4 with ball

There's a reason why we're ranked 7th in Tests.

Mid-table teams don't know how to press home the advantage, or repeat their disciplines.
 
Terrible batting performance this second innings. Never fail to disappoint us.

Even when we are chasing a 200 target in an ODI against an average attack we have always managed to get the rate over 5.5 somehow and struggle to get over the line
 
Shafiq was looking like he might step out after the previous ball. The battle hardened look of someone who likes to score hard fought 20s

I hope umpire has his eyes on the ball, reverse swing this early isnt very common.
 
England are not really over attacking with the field, and I feel Rizwan and Shafiq need to realise that. Singles are to be had. Just don’t get bowled or lbw.

hey we still ahve a winning chance here, 184 is the lead.
Plus two spinners, so we do need misbah's tactics out there.

Lead is now worth 185 runs. Pakistan are slowing batting England out of the game (despite the wickets).

I actually quite like Rizwan, think he's a handy little batsman, but he hasn't really done himself justice when given the chance. Maybe today will be the day?

Umpiring has been shoddy in this match. Most of the lbws that Pak earned in the first innings were through reviews.
 
Pakistan would ideally want lead to go past 300 here , for that they need this partnership to last the day.
 
Even though I'm only following the score, I think Rambo isn't there. I miss his gaffs. Fakhar Azam and Babar Zaman.

The rules still favour dodgy decisions as long as umpire's call is there. Pretty sure there was one yesterday where the home umpire wasn't going to give it, but then was tempted by the extra long appeal.

Agreed, umpiring has been pretty ordinary more often than not even against WI especially in the first test it was pretty questionable.
 
Perhaps England should give Rashid another go in whites. Handy batsman and the best spinner in the country.

Moeen is a complete disaster these days so he cannot be in the reckoning.
 
Even though they are carving him against the spin, just don’t like them making contact on front of middle. Only needs on to stay low.

Speaking of covid. Buzdar's performance and Murad's performance during the pandemic is for all to see.


I get it Buzdar might not be the best man for the job, but he wipes the floor with Murad Ali Shah.

Yeah I really hope he performs. His wicket keeping is really good and if he bats well that would be great for Pakistan.
