Pakistan finish Day 3 on 137/8 against England, lead by 244 runs

Perhaps England should give Rashid another go in whites. Handy batsman and the best spinner in the country.

Moeen is a complete disaster these days so he cannot be in the reckoning.

Rashid being successful depends the batsmen being proactive and somewhatattacking.greag for limited overs but Not suited for test cricket as his career has shown.

Shafiq might be hella inconsistent but one thing is for sure he always bats with SR in the 50-70 range. Azhar Ali has to slog it to get his SR above 40.

Yeah I really hope he performs. His wicket keeping is really good and if he bats well that would be great for Pakistan.

Indeed. Just needs some tweaks. Has got fight in him. He’s young. Looks keen - certainly had to wait for his chances. Like the guy.

Must be a world wide trend tail starting at 7 remember Aus with the useless Tim Paine batting at 7

biggest pet peeve is that Wasim feels the need to read every single thing on the screen - be it the match summary or just a random statistic.

Like Wasim, we're all watching the same game and we all have eyes - you don't have to read out everything on the screen

Maybe better suited to radio commentary

1 year ago, England chased down 359 against a bowling attack of Cummins, Hazlewood and Lyon.

Shafiq doing ok here, just hope he doesn’t throw it away.

Playing spin against Rizwan is such a bad idea.

I remember when he first came into the side he had some issues against legspin. But definitely he's much more assured against spin than seam.

Can’t be worse than Bess. Even Leach is way better than him.

Imagine if there were random pop ups to appear on his screen?

“So Athers this is how I bowl in-swing, and as you can see hot singles waiting for you in the area, just flick it here”.

Even though I'm only following the score, I think Rambo isn't there. I miss his gaffs. Fakhar Azam and Babar Zaman.

Holding had a funny one though; referring Shadab as Shadab Shah once.
Only one left is Abbas; then it will be a fully "Shah" attack..

The Headingley pitch doesn't deteriorate as much as Old Trafford. Headingley is one of those places that gets easier to bat on if the sun is out - we also saw that in 2017 vs West Indies.

It took an innings of a lifetime. If such an innings is played again and England win then fair play to england

It is true. Rameez isn't perfect but he is the best commentator from Pakistan (and possibly Asia).

Probably the most cliche commentator ever. Atleast Wasim and Waqar have expertise to offer. Half the time he has unbelievable strategies and unnecessary criticism for anyone not playing to his liking.

I think he’s improved in all aspects of cricket. Gotta love his sweep shots against spin.

Rizwan has looked much more assured in this innings. He is more certain with his feet movement and also meeting the ball crisply.

Akram is very annoying. Doesn't understand subtle jokes and command of English not as good as ramiz

Just as I say this; he almost got done by Anderson. Loose with his prod, leaving gap between ball and bat. Lucky.

I hope Pakistani bowlers are learning from experienced England bowlers how to rough up that bowl fast enough to get reverse swing as soon as bowl gets old. Wasim was saying it is probably due dry wicket and squares, so whatever it is Pak pacers should learn that as well before the 4th innings.

Exactly. 9.9/10 Aus would have won from that position. Also, I don’t remember the pitch. In any case, that’s what legends are made of. No one can pull those off day in and day out though. Not BC Lara, not SRT, not Ben Stokes.

England are choking under pressure, desperation in their eyes.

Shafiq and Rizwan need to take advantange in these last hour of play.

Bess is helping Pakistan's cause big time.

I am really surprised they didn't persist long enough with Leach.

So why is woakes, their best bowler, taken out of the attack. Bess is leaking runs and taking off al the pressure

Waqar being with the boys is a big advantage for us. He should tell them how to roughen up the ball asap :))

20 overs to go, get past 250 with only one more wicket down to be in pole position to take this test match and end it on tommorow.

Hopefully he does, its a wonderful skill to have and if opposition is fully utilizing why not Pak should do the same. :)

He won’t average more than 35 with the bat but he’s top notch with the gloves.

Kohli has an avg of 36 in England and you bow down to him, hope you will do the same for Rizwan too if he matches him in England.

Anderson breaching 140 kph with the last delivery. Don't remember the last time I saw him hitting 140kph. Good to see he still can crank it up. Phenomenal athlete.

Rizwan is a clutch player who can perform under pressure. Can become asset in both ODIs and Tests if properly developed. He is 28 so solid 6-7 years ahead of him as well.

someone should tell Buttler that he'll never be able to replicated Kami, no matter how hard he tries
