He doesn’t have explosive power and is not technically good either. Cannot excel with the bat in any format, but he if can maintain a mid 30’s average across Tests and ODIs, he would be doing his job.
 
Now that we are on. I 100% agree with Michael Holding here. All umpire's call should be Not Out.
 
Rizwan is a short guy. The umpire was always likely to give it out.
 
The bias in the umpiring continues to be shocking. Pakistan need to collate all the stats and have a word with the match referee. 3 reviews or 10 reviews. If England keep getting the benefit of the doubt, it will make a big difference on the result.

This decision alone was crucial.

pakistani fans will agree only cause they lost their last wicket. Had this been our first wicekt or us bowling, no one would had cared.
 
I will come across as a sore loser here but surely we need one Pakistani umpire in the next two matches.

he did give root out when it was going a foot over dont forget
honestly hes just a poor and inconsistent umpire feels like hes just guessing most of the time

Yasir and Shadab on 4th day pitch with natural variation, turn and bounce. Not to forget, Shaheen and Abbas with the new ball. Even 200 isn't easy. We're looking at a potential target of 260-270.

I don’t think that’s what he said. I think he said OUT or NOT OUT they should be consistent. The way I interpret that is for instance all bail trimmers being OUT or NOT OUT. Similarly impact in line or not etc.
 
Misbah with his UAE mentality of 5 batsmen and a keeper will lead us to losing this match.

We can deny all we want to avoid feeling uncomfortable, but there's a clear pattern with these marginal calls. Right from the start of this game, we knew the umpires are going to favor the English with these close calls.

I am 100% sure that we'll see a trend play out if we, as you say, collate the statistics.

His point is valid on the consistency of these umpire calls. You can't adjudicate arbitrarily especially since that decision is an penultimate one with respect to the umpire calls.

you cant completely take out the on field umpire. Plus, the technology isn't accurate, and you need the human factor to be given the benefit somewhat.

We need to remember that we are mental midgets who panic, so don’t be surprised if our bowlers and fielders lose their heads.
 
Regardless of our lead, 124-7 in the best batting conditions of the match is a pretty ordinary effort.
 
Haven't seen anything in this pitch (for fast bowlers or even Bess) to suggest it's difficult . . All batsmen got out because of their own fault . . Poor batting! Only Pakistan can lose a test match from the position they were in
 
Man, Pakistan have really blown it this second innings. With the ball, if the quicks continue to do their thing and Yasir can maintain control from one end, then there's still a chance at victory.
 
So we will blame the umpires if we lose this match, and then hide behind the comments of the serial moaner Holding.

Look, I agree with your point in principle. But if the purpose of the DRS is to reduce uncertainty in the game then a clear definition will help, no? Otherwise, we can keep rueing “luck” in the form of inconsistency in decisions, no?
 
Misbah needs to be held accountable for selections of azhar and shafiq, its effectively playing with 2 men down.
