Pakistan finish Day 3 on 137/8 against England, lead by 244 runs

All depends on how new ball bowlers bowl tomorrow.
If they get it right going to win by 50-60 runs even with 240 target
If they spray ball even 280 won't be enough

Settle down, nobody's blaming the umpires. If Pakistan lose this, it's undoubtedly on them for giving away a clear first innings advantage.
 
We deserve to be lose for still picking Azhar and making him the captain.

Pathetic team. Shame on Misbah, Wasim and Mani for picking this loser as a captain
 
Agree with Nasir, bottom 3 should atleast be able to play a few shots.
 
Pakistan need the tail enders to take a few chances and add some quick runs. They will not last long , so better look to get runs
 
Shadab is a glorified tail-ender. A fact that our management and fans will learn the hard way.
 
this is where i should point out, that shan was dropped and missed on a stumping. so had he been out earlier, i wonder what the actual lead would had been
 
The fact that Stokes is risking his body, bending his back to bowl 85+mph to try and get England back into the game should show you how terrible Archer's attitude is. He should be the key bowler for England but he's been rubbish for the last few matches and even Root seems to have lost faith in him. Instead of trying he said he's not a machine and its not a pitch to bend your back.

They won us the game against Ireland and the first test against Eng with the bat. Mickey was good at this.

This is a disgraceful second innings performance

Absolutely shambolic and frankly very embarassing

The england bowling hasn’t been that great either so there literally is no excuse

And even the score we have put up is flattering and undeserved because of poor captaincy to give Dom Bess the ball for so many overs.

Even if we win it doesn’t take away the fact that this batting performance is disgraceful

Amir retired and Hasan is injured. Faheem should have played instead of whom? I dont know a lot of pacers we have who can bat unless we want to go with Wahab and Sohail Khan by dropping two from the pace trio.
 
No need to say Pakistan are a garbage team etc. If you all are so good then why not play yourself and represent your country.

This is really good bowling by England.

200+ chased only twice in Old Trafford Test history. Wait for ENG innings. This isn't a pitch for 50+ partnerships. You're never in on this pitch. No one has looked settled.

Literally 90% of posters on PP hated it when Misbah was made the czar of cricket. I was glad that now he will get abused from all sides. This shameless man deserves it and more.

With all those good stuff Mickey should have atleast won the series against Srl and dont loose to NZ after being 1-0, if he would have he could have been here.
 
20-30 runs somehow here will be excellent. Although can't see it happening.

244 lead right now to be honest is underwhelming but by no means a defeating one. If you flipped the situation, England would easily defend 244 on this pitch against most teams, let alone mental midget Pakistan. So Pakistan should not hang their heads down right now. Defendable if the bowlers applied themselves like they did in the 1st innings.
 
I don’t think that Anderson and Archer will play the next Test.
 
Did people really expect the 7th ranked team to play well for three days in a row? Where does that 7th rank come from?
 
England have done well, but Pakistan need to squeeze out another 20-30 runs to make this very difficult for England to chase it down

The pitch is doing a fair bit for the spinners, and England will struggle on this pitch on a good day, let alone chasing under pressure.

I'm just stating a fact. Like I said, look at your posts above about Shadab. He has played two crucial innings in this test match and you're calling him a glorified tailender.

Your precious Archer is averaging 50 since the Ashes but he continues to be the best bowler in the world -LOL.
 
The issue is that Pakistan is probably the only side in the world that can lose the plot while defending 260-270 in this situation, while England is probably the only side in the world that can chase down a total like this.
 
The issue is, Pakistan are not likely to have England 12-3 and 60-4 for 4 again, with Stokes and Root back inside the hut.

So they really needed a lead of over 300.

Unfortunately that's not going to happen so they need to play sensibly here and try and get every run they can.
 
Shaheen has solid defense. He is young so can develop his batting a bit. He is gonna represent Pak for a long time so it will be handy.
