Pakistan make it 11 T20I series wins in a row with six-wicket win over New Zealand

The real test for our T-20 team comes outside the UAE.

Has Kane forgotten Pakistan beat them in NZ not too long ago?

Pakistan will beat India in all formats if there is a bi lateral series.

At the risk of sounding like Mamoon I don’t think we can win a bilateral series against them in Asian conditions. A bilateral series against them in England or South Africa might be more competitive. Plus, if we are emphasising on the rankings here then India is more likely to beat us in ODIS and Tests because the difference in the rankings is a bit too much.

Yes. Ideally, this should be his last T20 series. He must only play in ODIs and Tests from here on. We should preserve him like Aus do with Starc.

I would agree if he was in mid 20’s...
But he’s only 18 and should play in whatever few internationals we play.

Ideally I would prefer to see him stick with T20s and ODIs. To represent Pakistan in test cricket he develop that temperament by playing at least 15-20 more first class matches. Abbas didn’t become Abbas by playing T20s and ODIs.

He is only 18 and hence his workload should be managed. A fast bowler is at his peak at 27-28.

Thing is when we play India it’s usually a one off in a tournament.
The last bi lateral series we played in we beat them and I honestly think we would adjust and do well if we played a series rather then just a one off game..

We’ve beaten every other team in the world so I don’t see why we wouldn’t beat them too but in a series and not in a one off situation.

I agree our chances increase if we play outside of Asia but then we do have some excellent players of spin so I would still back us to beat them in Asia.

He will be useful in South Africa tests with his pace and bounce. He has got the skills to succeed in test cricket.

Better he learns his trade at the top level then plying his trade on useless domestic wickets against far inferior batsmen. Save his body by not playing him in useless domestic tournaments...

I’m not saying that we simply can’t beat them. I’m saying that the likelihood of us beating them right now is very little. But I guess cricket is a funny. Not many ppl in their right minds thought that we would go on and win the CT17, that too facing Indian juggernaut in the final. So in sports anything can happen. I agree with the point that if we play India regularly in the bilateral series we would actually start beating them.

How many times have seen rookies getting carried away with the SA and Aussie pace and bounce? Plus, it is one thing to bowl 24 high intensity deliveries in the space for 90 minutes and it’s another thing to bowl 25-30 overs through out the day without losing patience.

Hafeez again proved to be how he can be a match winner on his day. There are a lot of Hafeez haters here however I have always supported him. At least he contributes one way or another compared to many other favourites who do nothing. We've won another series, now lets try some new faces on Sunday before moving the the proper one dayers.

His first class debut was impressive. He is not a Rahat Ali or Wahab Riaz who keeps bowling short pitch stuff. He has good control over his line and length, can swing it both ways, gets extra bounce. What else do you need in test cricket ?

As I said, more first class experience and temperament.

Swing it both ways? I honestly havnt seen him do that yet from what ive seen of him so far. Maybe its the conditions. Lets see how he fares in south africa

Was delighted with this win. So much more satisifying than thrashing Australia. Close games, feels good to come out on the winning side :)

Yes he got Maxwell and Finch's wickets in Zimbabwe with inswing. It is hard to swing the new ball in UAE so that is why we are not seeing much of it.
