Pakistan missing a trick by not giving the new ball to Naseem Shah

I think going forward the team management needs to give the new ball to the young lad in place of Abbas. We still have not seen the best of Naseem Shah yet in my opinion, he gets beautiful away swing with the new ball and is perfectly capable to picking up 2-3 quick wickets upfront which will help turn the match in Pakistan's favour immediately

He's played 3 tests. They'll give him more responsibility as he continues to settle in.

Naseem should not even play every test for next couple of years he should be rotated with Hassan and Ehsan Adil.
Naseem is our biggest asset along with Babar right now he should be handled with utmost care send him on A tours should play test spordariacally right now for couple more seasons.

I believe he has skills to become as good as Steyn if we groom him well and he keeps his feet on ground.

It's only a matter of time but if Abbas loses the new ball, he will become totally ineffective on flat surfaces. The solution is to find a good 3rd seamer.

At this stage, he’s a little like the 1989-96 Waqar Younis. Really good with an older ball, but lacking new ball skills.

He probably has a bit of work to do in terms of those skills before taking the new ball.

We probably play 9 tests max every year so burn out wont be an issue, his work loads away from test cricket should be looked at.
