Its not possible for them for next 75 years... that's why they nowadays hailing non-icc tournaments as epic wins
 
India beat Pakistan in Colombo in 2012 T20 World Cup, hope India repeats it in 2026 T20 World Cup.

Pakistan has advantage of playing all matches in Colombo.
 
If either of Rizbar play, guaranteed win to india. If neither plays, Pakistan has a chance
 
India will win 90% of the time if it is a T20 match.

India has definitely regressed in Test cricket and ODI’s nobody cares.

Pak team seems to have hit some form. They ba e been winning most of their T20 games post Asia cup. I doubt if they make semis in the 2026 T20 WC.
 
In bowling, Pakistan have an advantage.

In batting, India have an advantage.

I expect a close game. I wouldn't be surprised if Pakistan end up winning. They have been doing well in T20 for a while.

1. India is going through a winning fatigue in white ball cricket tournaments and against Pakistan. Law of averages is against India.

2. Pakistan is going through a resurgence. They won Hing Kong Sixes and the Tri series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. This is momentum that we cannot ignore.
 
Hard to look past Pakistan for this one.

How is that a method? Where is the ruling? Where is the punishment? At least in the Devadwal Lewis Method, batsmen who do not back up intent with intellect are punished for their crimes!

My method is that i never allowed to play mediocrity or slow player in indian T20 team. I'm gill supporter yet do not want him to Play in T20 cricket because we have better option than gill , tuktukraj. While Pakistan replacement player's are not better than current players.

This is big difference. You wanted mediocre players like Asif ali to become captain of pakistan while I don't allowed any mediocrity near to the Indian team

Thankful both sides are showing maturity and not bringing politics into it. Play competitive on the field and leave the politics aside. The failure of Operation Sindoor for India and the global humiliation they daily suffer has nothing to do with what will happen on th pitch.

Hopefully both sets of players and fans can remain mature for the contest.

Hopefully nawaz gonna turn it around this time and doing the same thing he did to indians in 22 asia cup

but yes, looking fwd to the match and hope for a good one in which we remember the skills of both sides on display.

Its T20 cricket and any team can win on a given day. Pakistan's T20 side is more experinced than India. With that in mind, I think Pakistan is missing the trick of beating India in India and take revenge of Op Sindoor & Asia cup 3-0. Imagine them coming to Amdavad and beating India in Modi's den. That would be something. Now even if they win, it will be in Colombo, so meh. It just doent feel the same.

As far as boycott is concerned, I have given up on boycotting after the first Asia cup game on 14th Sept...ever since Surya Kumar ran riot on them.

If Pak win against india and/or if & when Joe Root breaks the record for the highest Test Runscorer :

They havent beaten Australia either. I sont think theyve beaten a full strength aussie team in a long long time. Its just india always plays full strength vs Pakistan as they meet during tournaments.

India defeated Pakistan twice in Asia cup 2018 when inform captain King Kohli rested from the tournament. :klopp :kp
 
This is perhaps the lowest-ever ticket price for an India versus Pakistan World Cup game.

On Thursday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the opening of ticket sales for ‘Phase 1’ of the upcoming T20 World Cup (ticket sales opened at 6.45pm on Thursday), pricing entry-level tickets at just Rs 100 at some venues in India and LKR1000 in Sri Lanka, the lowest ever for an ICC event.

In a media release, the ICC said that it has “reduced one of the primary entry barriers for fans by making the tickets highly affordable in Phase I.

With pricing starting from Rs 100 in India and LKR1000 in Sri Lanka and more than two million tickets going on sale, the ICC aspires to democratize in-stadia experience of ICC events.”

The 10th edition of the tournament will be staged across eight venues from Feb 7-March 8 across India and Sri Lanka.

- any one can win and one good diamond crazy performance can seal it ...and i genuinely think Pak is a strong team in this format, case in piont - the finals of Asia cup 2025 was a fantastic evenly contested match which could have gone either way.

I also think pak will gain in confidence with the rising stars asia cup win and also the u-19 asia cup win and possibly might include some starts from these two squads.
but you have said 'true talented lads' are not selected/picked/not playing - can you name these true talented lads not currently in pak squad or not picked because of various reasons?

Arafat Minhas, Maaz Sadaqat, Sameer Minhas, Hassan Khan etc....HK and AM are being consistently ignored due to no good connections within PCB

When these player start playing at the highest level and exposed themselves, then same posters will criticize them and then talk about the next generation of cricketers and overhyped them too. This cycle will continue.

Pakistan should win this if they play without thinking about the opposition. India is very shaky at the moment. It’s time to capitalise.

You can play whoever you want, yet India will not only win but humiliate Pakistan very badly . :klopp :kp
 
I do not see India winning , I see Pakistan losing. I see Pakistan dominate and then do something silly and lose because of mental strength.
 
Anything can happen in T20 game. On top of that SL will not produce high scoring games, they usually have low-medium scoring thrillers 130-170 range on some tough tracks. That kind of slightly works in Pak favor . having said that 60-40 to India. If this match was happening in India, SENA I would say 80-20 in favor of India.

Chasing side will have a significant advantage. If you bat first, you might have to make 180 on those sluggish tracks and look to defend which might be tough

Colombo has extremely high humidity and will get worse in the evening/night. DO NOT bat first or else good luck gripping that ball, holding on to the catches, spinning or seaming the wet ball.

Arafat Minhqs couldn't even cement his place in the shaheens squad.Sameer Minhas is performing well but he needs to continue his form in the world cup.

Yes those boys you named do loook like good players and there is defo potential, well lets hope your selectors pick a squad of 25-30 - have a camp and see the potential of these guys and select the cream 15 players based on skill and potential only...

also Minhas and common variations of this last name Manhas, Manhaz, mihhaj etc is such a common last name across much of India, my dad who was with the Dogra regiment had several CO or people under him called Minhas - sameer minhas coudl easily pass off as a standard bhartiya name...

Don't think they will be able to beat the reigning Asian & World Champions 7 out of 10 times. 0 out of 10 is the right number.

Btw Pak under Salman is winning everything except against India.
