Hope some miracle happens and they rope in Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He is a murderer of spin bowling.
He will be in the T20 team soon.

Rinku out. Suryavanshi in.

Pandya and Dube will be our finishers.

Imagine an opening combo of Vaibhav and Abhishek.

At this point I feel for Jaiswal. He deserves a shot in the T20 team. Perhaps once SKY retires.

I don't see the Indian players being able to handle our bowling attack. I just hope Saim and Sahibzada feeling up for it and bat like they are capable of batting.

Need an extra batter though. No need to have Salman Mirza in the team. Time to unleash Fakhar on Indian one last time.

Which one of the below do you think would work ?

Here’s a likely best playing XI for the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match on February 15, 2026 in Colombo, based on the squads confirmed for the tournament. 🇵🇰🇮🇳

I think and hope India will win.

But Pakistan is not easy by any means and they are perfectly capable of putting the hammer on us.

Let me put it this way. I expect an India win. But it wont be an out if the world shock if we lose.

Best thing about these shenanigans are that a real needle is back in the game, it’s been l five plus years for me.

India are still favorites but this is the best chance in years for Pakistan to win against India. The sri lankan pitch and having some good spinners in the team can help challenge Indian batsmen.

Hope it's a cracking contest either ways.

With emotions so high, Naqvi Saab be likely padding up for the game himself…..

Two very different teams.

There is no doubt in general and over the last 2 years, India has consistently played at a much higher level and the record proves that.

That being said, Pakistan as always remains a volatile passion driven team. Regardless of form, they can always take you by surprise in tournaments. Its happening less in recent times.

Somehow irrespective of form out of all the top teams in the last two T20 world cups Pakistan was the only one that lost to India in games they should have won. I expect same this time a close game. If Pak wins it's a bonus if they don't, nothing new. I still count the game as a boycott meaning win against NED, USA, NAM.

Actually the match itself is so much pressure for the players that strange things happen to even the best of players. I think in recent times Virat proved to be a real clutch player of these kind of games. He rescured us against Pakistan quite a few times actually in ICC events.

Virat factor and his impact Vs Pakistan has been bigger than any cricketer in history. He has probably turned around 6-7 games Vs Pakistan alone. The Asia cup final was evident of that until the brain fades happened with the men in green which makes the job easier for India then. Should be interesting to see this match though I think the pressure will be higher on both sides this time around with the circus going around for the past week or so.

Some people just don’t learn. Paks hands feet balls freeze when facing ind in world cups. Last game 45 needed with 8 wickets in hand

Such a weird situation we've landed ourselves and the poor players in. The entire weight of 2 billion folks expectations (including Bangladesh this time) is on the shoulders of these 22 guys for an essentially irrelevant game.

These games are barely about skill any more but rather mental strength, ability to stand up under pressure etc. Which is why the likes of Kohli, Hardik always end up determining the outcome.

I'm not sure Pakistan has any of those guys which is why I'd give India the edge again.

In SL where it will not be a pancake we have an equal chance of beating them. We just need this lineup:

1/Babar
2/Farhan
3/Saim
4/Tulla Agha unfortunately cannot be dropped as he is captain
5/Fakhar
6/Nafay
7/Shadab
8/Nawaz
9/Faheem/Naseem
10/Shaheen
11/Abrar

Indian batsmen are flat track tullars. On a spin wicket those clowns won't cross 140.

Well now you've seen them manhandle your bowling attack on a tough pitch.

Don't worry though Pakistan definitely outscore all the other teams in Colombo as you predicted

Why is this always phrased like this when it should be "India chooses not to lock horns in bilateral series with Pakistan"? We all know which side avoids playing the other while they desperately fix groups so they can catch them at tournaments and make money from there.

Icc tournament, icc makes money not India, is it that difficult to understand?

Just watched the highlights...

Looks like Indian bowlers didn't even celebrate a single wicket lol. It's like they're saying "This is just too easy for us. We don't even care about beating your mediocre bunch". 🤣

Meanwhile pakistani bowlers and fielders were running their mouths non stop in the Asia Cup , while Abhishek and Tilak were mauling them into th ground

Unreal difference in standards and mentality.

@BouncerGuy hope you enjoyed the match? Kasa Raha Sunday? Boycott hi thik rehta na. :klopp :kp
Yep, Enjoyed the ducks from Abhishek and Hardik, that too in the highlights. Did not watch the game live, was travelling, but yeah... Pakistan is a pathetic side and lost deservedly..

Look at some pakistani fans celebrating “We didnt let Abhishek score runs, Indian batters couldnt hit even one six off Usman Tariq" 😭😂

Thi is Peak shamelessness

When this is your achievement, you already know the standards

:klopp :kp

I was expecting abhishek and pandya to smash the trundler Shaheen but both failed... My expectations were broken...

It doesn't matter to us who wins the match for India. We are a very good team and have plenty of match-winning players.

Abhishek nahi to kishan , kishan ni to Tilak, sky and so on .....

Another India vs Pakistan Clash Loading After BCCI's Big Decision? Full Details Here

Expect another round of India vs Pakistan this fall as the arch-rivals could meet again on one of sport's most charged stages —the Asian Games. India is set to send full-strength men's and women's squads to Aichi-Nagoya in September–October, and the tournament is confirmed in the T20 format.

Cricket will feature at the Asian Games for only the fourth time in 2026, a surprisingly modest presence given the sport's vast following across Asia. The discipline made its debut as a medal event at Guangzhou 2010 and returned at Incheon 2014, though those tournaments did not carry international status. After being dropped from the Jakarta 2018 program, cricket reappeared at Hangzhou 2023—this time with full international recognition from the International Cricket Council (ICC). Each edition to date has staged separate men's and women's competitions, consistently in T20.

India arrive as the reigning double champions after sweeping gold in both men's and women's events at Hangzhou 2023. Afghanistan took silver in the men's tournament, Sri Lanka in the women's, while Bangladesh clinched bronze in both categories— an outcome that underlined the growing competitive balance beneath the regional powerhouses. Earlier, Bangladesh (men) and Pakistan (women) topped the podium in Guangzhou 2010, with Sri Lanka (men) and Pakistan (women) striking gold at Incheon 2014.

A potential India–Pakistan fixture would carry layers of resonance. Beyond the spectacle and television pull, such meetings often compress years of rivalry into a few gripping overs, where fielding intensity, bowling plans in the powerplay, and middle-order temperament can decide medals. For India's women, who have built a formidable T20 core, and for the men, who relish multi-team knockout dynamics, the challenge will be to manage expectations while adapting swiftly to conditions in Japan.

Looking ahead, the Asian Games appear set to serve as a springboard to an even larger stage. Cricket's anticipated return to the Olympic Games at LA 2028, more than a century after Paris 1900, adds fresh urgency and significance. While awarding medals, Aichi-Nagoya 2026 will preview stories that culminate under the Olympic rings.
