Poor decision but Amir has Roy in his first over! Still can't work out why Pietersen isn't playing?

Hopefully stoneman gets a good score here, top talent

God grammar is actually fine, yeah there are a few typos but whatever he's a cricket player not a journalist.

Chopra you absolute tailender :))) I really enjoyed that dismissal

To be honest I don't mind him being here whilst Dawson is in the test team, my sentiment on the whole (and a significant amount of Hampshire supporters) though is still that I wish we hadn't signed him. Never suggested he wouldn't perform though.

This was one of those guys people :)) look at him backtrack now :yk

Are you there at the game? what is the atmosphere like, Hamshire have been really plugging his return; he's a popular guy there and the locals love him it seems; I can't really see Shahid play for another county tbh Hamshire is like his home team

HitWicket Afridi is available for the duration of the blast right, you have him for every game?

Not sure where I've backtracked?

Couldn't make it up to Cardiff in time tonight unfortunately, will be going to watch next week.

He's played for 5 counties through the years so he's done the rounds already! Like I've said before, nothing against him personally but I'd have preferred us to let him go elsewhere this season.

As far as I'm aware he's available throughout the tournament.

Amir got smashed today by random English batsman

Took Jason Roy's wicket. He got hit for a total of four boundaries in his 4 over spell, 3 fours and 1 six. Up until his third over he had figures of 3-0-17-1. It's when he came back to a set Sibley that he leaked runs. Still ended with the best economy rate amongst his team's pacers.

Hardly got smashed by random batsmen. Sibley is top upcoming batsmen, will probably be the mainstay of England's batting line-up in 3 or 4 years time.

You were bashing him for like a few hours when we last discussed his signing, you have egg on your face now :broad

He is doing the job so you can't really complain, yeah he has but I always looked at Hamshire as his home county in England

Still not sure where the egg is, I wasn't blasting him because I thought he wouldn't perform (and I made that clear), infact I wasn't blasting him at all. I was blasting the fact that we'd signed him and still stand by that assuming Dawson returns soon.

Am pretty sure you also criticised Afridi's signing based on what he would contribute to your team as well in addition to the dawson, so yeah the egg is there because he has done the job for now anyway

Who is Dawson?

Incase you need reminding of my viewpoint :

As a Hampshire fan like last year I'll take it but a bit underwhelmed that we've signed him again to be honest. Already got more than enough depth (and 'foreign players') in nearly all departments except wicket keeping in the t20 team and all this will do is guarantee that neither of our talented young spinners coming through have any chance of getting in the XI.

4-20 for Lala. What performance. Hope he plays in the CPL, BPL, BBL, PSL, that Global League and EVERYWHERE ELSE. Can never get enough of him. Just not in the Pakistan team. :P

Nah, you also posted Afridi is rubbish and what not brings nothing to Hampshire etc

You'll struggle to find a quote of me saying that...

I stated Dawson out performed him last season but that's not saying much given he out-performed most in the country last season.

Bopara fails to finish yet another game off. Some things never change.

Exactly. Not sure how he got smacked. Bowled well on a very small ground. Plus he had Sibley lbw but it wasn't given out (in the 19th over).

Didn't know about the lbw shout. Was going by his stats on CricHindustan. Turned it on and turned out to be a brilliant game. Bopara, Zaidi all lost their cool in the end.

I watched the game live. Yes- the lbw was a yorker length delivery in the 19th (fourth ball i think). They ran through for a leg bye but it was very adjacent. Then again Roy's lbw was missing so I suppose it is a case of you win some you lose some.

Indeed- Essex should have had that chase in the bag.

Amir bowled okay today, I watched the match on sky sports he bowled quite a few wides though which could have proved costly as the margin was very close

Imad Wasim to feature for Durham in England’s T20 Blast

KARACHI: Twenty20 cricket’s top ranked bowler Imad Wasim is all set to feature in the Twenty20 blast in England for Durham county, the allrounder said Wednesday.

The 28-year-old is waiting for his visa and if it is issued he will fly to feature in the Twenty20 blast.

“It’s a great opportunity to play for Durham in the Twenty20 blast. I am waiting for the visa,” said Imad, who retained his world number one Twenty20 bowler ranking on Monday.

He replaced South African Imran Tahir as world’s top ranked Twenty20 bowler.

Imad also received a good news of his elevation to “B” category in the central contracts. he was placed in “C” category in the contracts announced last year.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Amir is representing Essex and Shahid Afridi is playing for Hampshire in the T20 blast in England.

So according to some reports, Imad has been signed up by Durham. Can anyone confirm?

I just read that on ARY but can't find other sources. Also that report said he is replacing Imran Tahir who isn't even playing for Durham so I wouldn't get excited yet.

On another matter, If Tamim Iqbal pulled out of Essex, couldn't they get Fakhar Zaman to replace him? He's a like for like replacement, an aggressive left handed opener

Where is junaid? Is he going to play any games for lancs or not??

Hits a boundary and then gets out next ball- classic Afridi. :afridiLet's see what he does with the ball...

Calling it a classic Afridi with the ball too - economical, gets a wicket. 4-0-26-1 I say :afridi

Junaid Khan's match on sky sports now, but Lancashire are batting first so we'll have to wait to see him

Junaid into the attack for Lancashire.

Might not be bowling for long as there's rain.

176/4 (20/20 ov)
Yorkshire 64/2 (8.1/8.1 ov, target 65)

Yorkshire vs Lancashire ends in a tie (DLS). Willey hit a six off Junaid on the penultimate ball of the match...
