PSL transfer window is open. Heard all sorts of crazy rumours about players moving. So I decided to make a thread about this. If anyone hears any rumours about players moving team please post them in this thread.

One thing to note is during this transfer window, players who already with a franchise can move to another franchise. But for example a player like ab or Fakhar Zahman cannot go move to a PSL franchise until the draft as they are not contracted. Heard that the draft is in October also.

Some of the rumours I have heard are that Amir, Afridi, and Malik have been contacted by other franchises. Azhar ali has been linked with Karachi Kings. Also heard Trent Boult may move to IslamabadUnited and Brendon Mccullum to Quetta although I doubt these 2 rumours because these players arent contracted to PSL so they will be available if they put themselves in Octobers draft.

Kings need Brendon Mccullum as their leader. I hope he signs with us for the next season.

Yes I hope is apart of PSL next season also, but he won't be signing for anyone till the draft in October :)

Azhar is my favorite test player.I also believe he's a good ODI player.Maybe he can play in T20's but captaincy is not his forte in LO Cricket.I'm a fan of KK but don't like Malik much.

I am also a fan of Azhar too. He may not get the capatincy if he moved. Ahh I am an Islamabad United fan and why don't you like Malik?

What are the rules for this transfer?

I would not mind azhar Ali to kk if there is swap between him and Malik.

I'm a KK fan but I think we need proper opening and no.3 batsmen. Plz retain Bopara. He was wonderful for us last season. I want Sharjeel and B.McCullum plz.

You can only sign players from other franchises atm. There is a draft in October where you can sign non contracted psl players.

Islamabad United would have to decide to give up Sharjeel which I don't think they wil. As a Islamabad fan I would be furious if we let Sharjeel go. I have heard you can retain 16 players

But if you look at his performance in previous PSL he was the best batsman of the tournament he has captained sngpl in domestic so it won't be an issue in my opinion
 
would love to see Malik moving from Karachi to Lahore and then smashing out karachi like he did in the previous season; won both of the matches against lahore(only)!

TBH, Karachi kings was the strongest team in the previous edition, but unfortunately many of the star players severely flopped...Malik did also made a great mess with the batting order but to be very honest, that was not the cause of failure...credit goes to him where he took even the one-sided matches (in oppositions favour) to the ending overs, despite loosing!

Malik favour his sialkoti nauman anwar and ignored shahzaib
 
M.irfan yesterday participated in karachi kings owner Salman Iqbal channel in ramazan transmission which may be because irfan has decided to join karachi kings
as a united fan i am very happy if irfan leaves islamabad united

Whatever Happens, KK should never let Amir go.... Build a team around him and make him the immediate captain. If need be is ko aik doh ghar lay kar day doh koie KDA ya phir Defense mein - Malik Riaz ya Salman Iqbal should just make this happen at all cost.

Once Amir is Captain and in Khi with Family, he will definitely feel at home us kay badh add dynamic overseas larkay, not the Bangla boys :facepalm: and take in other domestic talents.
 
Good to see Irfan wearing Shalwar kameez, most of our players are wannabes, rarely wear Shalwar kameez.

Ahmed Shehzad must be the captain of one team, should groom him, as he is the only young captaincy material.
 
Karachi Kings is the team with the most cringe worthy tag line there and not to mention the most annoying fans and a super mediocre team. I hope players like Azhar Ali go there so that it remains true to its name.

Two reasons. Great foreign players plus it was a fluke. Sarfraz, Nawaz, Shehzad, Anwar, Shafiq, Bismillah are rubbish T20 players and they were the local players in the team. And I support Lahore and Islamabad. Not Karachi. Peshawar is good to watch too because of their bowling.

It wasn't a fluke, Sarfraz is a decent captain, regardless of his weak hitting abilities.

I am sorry to say but i am unable to buy your arguments regarding local players and it being a fluke. First of all, i think it was Shehzad or Sarfraz who were their top 3 scorers and performed really well. You calling them rubbish wont make it true i am afraid. Lastly, it was not a fluke by any means. Fluke is islamabad winning PSL.
 
Let's see who will buy Morgan and Mccullum. Lahore have first option in the draft wouldn't be suprised to see one of them at Lahore with the capatincy.

Yeah of course Shehzad is great. That's why he took his sublime PSL form in to the World T20 and won us games there.

I dont support any team in the PSL per say as i am unable to muster my inner self to support one because i dont believe in regional rivalries. But KK fans are the worst of the lot and Malik being their captain surely sweetens the deal for me to dislike them the utmost.

Anwar Ali is not a good bowler in international cricket but he is not that bad as you make him out to be. He performed well for Quetta. Dont mix international performances with domestic.

Also, Shafiq if my memory is serving me correctly played in one match or did not play in any match at all. Please check your facts.

So the rumor about them Letting AA go is true ?? Would be sad to see the Local boy being Kicked out by an outsider :(

I have a feeling that one of these two would go for QG and one for Peshawar but as these two teams are one of the last on the auction list. It might not happen that way.

Tbh it could be wrong to call it a fluke because Shehzad often scores runs in domestic cricket and is a dud at the international level so this was expected. But if any of the PSL teams are to play against an international team with just local players then Quetta will perform the worst.

Lahore get 1st pick, I think they will want to replace Azhar and if that is the case they would be foolish not take one of these as a captain

I don't know for certain if he is leaving, but the rumours are saying he might.

Yes your right about the local boy being kicked out, I have read on cricinfo that a rule is going to be added where you must have a player who is from your team name. So Lahore must field a player from Lahore, Karachi must field a player from Karachi,etc.
 
Who are Karachi 2.0 ala Gladiators gonna sign?
 
Would like to see Adil Rashid, he's been prolific in the natwest t20 blast and was the best spinner in the BBL... Ricky Ponting picked him as player of the tournament.

and there are 5 karachi players.

Gladiators owners, captain, main pak players are all kkarachi. And lol the owner said the only reason he bought Quetta was as he was outbid for karachi which was first choice.

Gladiators main players are Luke Shaw, KP, Ahmed Shehzad and Sarfraz. Only one karachite or i might be missing a name.

Does not matter how many karachi players KK has when the captain, the main bowlers are from Punjab. Haha.

And yeah Omar Associates are kind of a karachi lobby types considering they bought players like Anwar Ali and Asad Shafiq. I do see your point but partially.

Luke Wright?

The owners have said their preference was Karachi so not easy to figure out.

KK is owned by Karachiites and represents Karachi and there is no indication by owners that this was not their first preference.

It's the most expensive team from the economic hub of the country so every one wanted to be able to own it Ofcourse

I know its true that their preference was Karachi but that does not makes them a Karachi team you know on the basis of the important players parameter like i have explained before. But then, agree, as we have different parameters. Yours are owners and mine are important players.
 
Karachi Kings becoming karachi jokers if rumors are true t g at Irfan is coming in for Amir.

This is quite unprofessional stuff from the PSL management and the franchises, no news regarding the PSL transfers at all, people should have been informed about the end result, at least.

Not even one month left for the draft, and no hype...then how wil they make psl as one of the renowned league?
 
Lol don't worry about that, the one thing PSL did right last year was marketing the product.

Every team is associated with a major TV channel, and when the time is right, I expect them to hype PSL like no tomorrow.

We have seen how good the marketing was.Me being a fan of Pakistan cricket, took 1 month leav from my office intending to watch and enjoy full psl...and you know what? There was no telecast here in India...me poor fella lost 1 month salary...

I see where you're comiong from, but they did a great job advertising the event to their target audience, which is the Pakistani fans. Pretty sure season 2 will air in India as well, heard a few days back that they were in talks with someone over there.
 
Not a big deal!!! Same old oldies (Hafeez, Gul, Sami, Misbah, Irfan..........) will be played again and again and well deserving players will be overlooked. As there is only 5 teams so there will be a handful of young players most of them will be hacks, region flavored or future TTF

Wasn't there a proposal of adding a 6th team in the PSL? Whatever became of that?
 
Tanvir is actually the best T20 bowler in Pakistan so no surprises. Gets picked in lots of T20 tourneys and performs well, also can hack a few to the leg side.
 
what they havent marketed yet? but that must be because they are useless and since it was such a failure last time its all unprofessional and rubbish so erm...ok..

seriously some of you teeny boppers need to stay calm. Its a friggin draft. They will be hyping it when the time is right. Negotiations for players are still ongoing and we have plenty of time left. So keep calm and stop acting like your life is about to end..

why? they will announce in due course. Not everything is unprofessional just because you say it is.

Why would you do that considering the matches were at night or after noon time? And if you were willing to let go of one month of salary you could have bought an online package or watched it for free on that streaming website?
